Feng Jie's word, my heart suddenly fell to the bottom. I quickly asked Feng Jie, what happened to A Yao. Feng Jie's tone was very panicked and anxious. He told me and Chen Ming that yesterday A Yao didn't go out all day and stayed in the dormitory. When he got up the next day, he found A Yao kept swallowing blood. They were frightened and immediately called Dormitory Supervisor. Now A Yao was sent to the hospital because they couldn't contact A Yao's family, so they had to look for me. As soon as I heard this, I immediately asked Feng Jie to take me to the hospital. When Chen Ming saw this, he also followed. After arriving at the hospital, Feng Jie took us to A Yao's ward, which is the intensive care unit. We could only look at A Yao through the glass and could not enter. A Yao, who was lying in the intensive care unit, looked very pale. Not only that, the black mist following A Yao was getting thicker and thicker. Feng Jie was very anxious and kept asking me what to do and whether A Yao would die. I was already very confused. When Feng Jie asked me this question, my mood became even worse. Chen Ming then Pulled Feng Jie aside and told her not to speak. I squatted down helplessly against the wall, feeling very irritated. I thought about it, no matter what, I can't let A Yao die like this. Now, why did A Yao become like this? , it has something to do with me. After thinking for a while, I decided to call Uncle Tiger over. I asked Chen Ming and Feng Jie to stay here while I went out to make a phone call. After I came out, I immediately called Uncle Tiger and told Uncle Tiger everything. I thought Uncle Tiger would scold me after hearing it, but I didn’t expect it. Uncle Tiger just sighed and asked me to pick him up at the station tomorrow and wait for him to come. After hanging up the phone, I felt very uncomfortable. After returning to the hospital, I asked Feng Jie and Chen Ming to go back first. I would guard this place first, and they would just come and take my place the next day. After Feng Jie and Chen Ming left, my heart suddenly dropped. The more I thought about it, the more confused and painful it became. I spent the whole night like this. The next day, I went to A Yao Looking around, it seemed that the black fog was getting worse, and there was still a hint of green light in it. After a while, Feng Jie and Chen Ming rushed over. After I exchanged a few words with them, I immediately took a taxi and came to the station to pick up Uncle Tiger. From the moment I saw Uncle Tiger, my tears flowed down involuntarily, probably because I was useless and everything needed to be handled by Uncle Tiger. UncleTiger gently patted me on the shoulder and told me not to be sad. Everything will have a growth process, and I am in this process. 0
I wiped my tears and brought Uncle Tiger to the hospital. 0

When Uncle Tiger saw A Yao, his expression darkened instantly. He pulled me aside and asked seriously how A Yao's soul had been taken by the Mountain Demon. 0

I was taken aback. Seeing my expression, Uncle Tiger sighed and said that if I wanted to save A Yao, I needed to go to the market and buy a big rooster, some rice, and a jar of white wine; otherwise, A Yao's condition would only get worse. 0

I nodded and asked Chen Ming to take care of Uncle Tiger while I rushed to the market to buy what was needed, and I also got some food for Uncle Tiger. 0

When I returned to the hospital, Chen Ming was deep in conversation with Uncle Tiger. I placed the items in front of Uncle Tiger and asked when we would start. He glanced at A Yao lying in the ward and said there was no rush; we would do it tonight. 0

I nodded, and Chen Ming suggested that Uncle Tiger and I take a rest while he and Feng Jie kept watch, as everyone was quite exhausted. 0

After thanking him, I left with Uncle Tiger and rented a room outside for him to rest. 0

Uncle Tiger sighed and said it was fate. Originally, he hadn't intended to bring me into this circle, but unexpectedly, I had pushed myself into it. 0

I looked at Uncle Tiger in confusion and asked what he meant by that—what circle? 0

Uncle Tiger explained that there are many circles in this world, such as the red and white circles or the yin and yang circles, and I had entered the yin circle—the one that deals with supernatural beings. 0

I was stunned for a moment, lowering my head in silence. Uncle Tiger didn't say anything further; after all, things had already come to this point. 0

That evening, when Uncle Tiger and I arrived at the hospital, Chen Ming saw us and left with Feng Jie. 0

Uncle Tiger handed me a bag of rice and instructed me to spread it both inside the ward and outside. I followed his instructions. After finishing that, Uncle Tiger tied one leg of the rooster and secured it under the hospital bed before letting it go. 0

Once everything was set up, Uncle Tiger called me over with three cups. He poured the wine into them and placed them at the foot of the bed. 0

After that, Uncle Tiger told me to hide in the bathroom and not to come out no matter what sounds I heard. I nodded, and Uncle Tiger crawled under the bed. 0

My heart was racing as I pressed my ear against the door, peering outside. After a long time, there was still no sound, which made me anxious. Could it be that Uncle Tiger's method wasn't working? 0

Suddenly, the door creaked open, as if someone had entered the room. 0

I thought it was a nurse checking on the patients, but when I looked closer, I realized it was a shadowy figure. With each step it took, the floor emitted a sizzling sound, like electrical currents. 0

I glanced down and saw that the rice it had stepped on had turned black, yet it seemed unaware. 0

As it approached A Yao's bed, my heart raced to my throat. I feared it would harm A Yao, but instead, its attention seemed drawn to three cups of liquor in front of it. It picked them up and drank. With each cup it consumed, a cloud of black mist emanated from its body, and it shrank slightly. 0

By the time it finished the three cups, its body had diminished to nothing but a skeleton with skin tightly clinging to the bones. It looked terrifying, like a corpse. 0

It seemed to sense something was wrong and turned to flee. Just then, a rooster tied beneath the bed flew out and let out a loud crowing sound. It pecked at the figure's head with a sharp sound, causing its head to deflate like a punctured football. Not only that, but white gas also escaped from it. 0

At that moment, Uncle Tiger emerged from under the bed and grabbed the white gas, directing it toward A Yao's nose. Miraculously, the gas entered A Yao's body. Before long, the black mist surrounding A Yao began to dissipate; he was already looking better than before, which made me feel relieved. 0

Seeing Uncle Tiger appear, the shadowy figure immediately transformed into a cloud of black mist and fled. I finally stepped out of the bathroom and asked Uncle Tiger what that thing was. 0

Uncle Tiger replied, "Mountain Demon." 0

I was taken aback and asked him if A Yao was completely cured. Uncle Tiger shook his head and said, "No, A Yao has already been targeted by the Mountain Demon. Just now, we only freed A Yao's soul from its body. To fully heal A Yao, we must eliminate the Mountain Demon." 0

Upon hearing this, I felt worried; since the Mountain Demon knew someone was helping A Yao, how could it have appeared so easily? 0

Uncle Tiger looked at me and continued, "Don't worry. The Mountain Demon has already been injured by me; for now, it won't be able to harm anyone. We will find the Mountain Demon." 0

I nodded, and Uncle Tiger wisely left the hospital room. Although the black mist surrounding A Yao had lessened, the pallor on his face was still quite alarming. 0

In an instant, my resentment towards A Yao dissipated; after all, it was the Mountain Demon that had caused A Yao to end up like this. 0

I glanced at A Yao for a moment, then remembering that Uncle Tiger was still outside, I stepped out. I found Uncle Tiger sitting on a chair outside, smoking. Feeling guilty, I apologized to him. Uncle Tiger smiled and said, "Silly child, there's no need to apologize. Since what has happened has already occurred, we just need to resolve it." 0

I nodded in agreement. Just then, a bustling noise came from around the corner. Both Uncle Tiger and I instinctively looked over and saw a crowd of people gathering; it seemed someone had fallen ill. 0

Suddenly, my eyes widened as I informed Uncle Tiger that the person lying on the hospital bed was also shrouded in black mist, just like A Yao. 0

Uncle Tiger took this seriously and urged me to follow him to the patient, suggesting that it might be connected to the Mountain Demon as well. 0

However, when we reached the operating room, we were stopped by a nurse. We couldn't clearly see the patient's face, which left me feeling somewhat disappointed. Just then, a familiar voice came from behind us. 0

Both Uncle Tiger and I turned around to find Captain Wu standing there. 0

I was taken aback and asked Captain Wu what he was doing here so late at night. After greeting Uncle Tiger, Captain Wu explained that he was here because of the special case he had mentioned earlier. The girl who had just gone in was already the tenth one like this. 0

Uncle Tiger and I exchanged puzzled glances with Captain Wu, not fully understanding his words. Captain Wu then elaborated for us. 0

A few days ago, their police station received reports from several parents claiming their children had inexplicably changed; they were seen hanging out with strange men. Moreover, every night they exhibited bizarre behavior and even coughed up blood. Eventually, all of them ended up in the hospital with worsening conditions. The parents suspected that these strange men had done something to their daughters. Following the victims' information, they tracked down one of these men. However, oddly enough, when they took pictures of him as evidence for the victims' families, those photos turned out blank—this happened several times. Captain Wu naturally sensed something unusual and felt that this might not be an isolated case. 0
