We got into Victim's car, and it seemed like the ancestral worship place was far away. After a long drive without reaching our destination, Chen Ming quietly complained to me. I smiled and told him that he brought this upon himself; if he hadn't taken this job, he wouldn't be suffering now. 0

Chen Ming shot me a glare and then whispered to me, asking what was in the room on the second floor. 0

I glanced at Victim, who was focused on driving, and quietly told Chen Ming that it might be something sinister, which could be troublesome. 0

Upon hearing this, Chen Ming's expression changed slightly. He probably didn't expect that something was indeed following Victim's Daughter. After a moment, Chen Ming asked me how dangerous it was. If it was too dangerous, he suggested we should slip away; he didn't want to lose his life after gaining wealth. 0

I glared at Chen Ming, saying that since we were already on the boat, it wouldn't be easy to get off now. We should take a look first and retreat if necessary. 0

While Chen Ming and I were talking, Victim drove the car to the entrance of the mountain. I looked out the window; the trees on this mountain were incredibly tall and densely packed together. Not a single ray of sunlight could penetrate through. At that moment, I recalled what Uncle Tiger had told me about Yin-Yang Mountain; it looked very similar. I wondered why Victim had chosen this place for ancestral worship. 0

After getting out of the car, Chen Ming suddenly grabbed my arm and whispered, "Wang Niu, this place looks really eerie. It seems like what they say online about little ghosts playing in the water." 0

I was taken aback and asked Chen Ming what he meant by little ghosts playing in the water. Just then, Victim turned around and told us that if we walked a few more steps, we would reach their ancestral worship site. He also asked if we noticed anything unusual. 0

I awkwardly smiled but didn't directly answer Victim's question. After all, I was just pretending to be knowledgeable. Instead, I asked him why he chose this place for worship when it clearly lacked sunlight and there were no animals or birds around, not to mention no graves. 0

To my surprise, Victim didn't seem to care; instead, he laughed proudly and said that this was a location selected by a very skilled feng shui master. He claimed that seeking fortune in danger meant burying ancestors here would gather the Yin Qi from within ten miles. If there was enough Yin Qi provided by the ancestors, then the grave energy would also be sufficient. If the ancestors lived well, then their descendants would naturally thrive; whatever they desired would come to them. 0

Chen Ming and I exchanged glances, feeling that this sounded absurd. How could such things change one's fortune? Victim noticed our skepticism and became somewhat angry, stating that his family had become wealthy through unexpected windfalls over the years and that their business had always been smooth sailing without any setbacks. Wasn't this proof that their ancestors were protecting them? 0

The more I listened, the more uneasy I felt but couldn't pinpoint why, so I decided to drop the topic and let Victim take us to see the ancestors' tomb first. 0

Seeing that we weren't interested in hearing him talk anymore, Victim agreed and led us directly to the tomb of his ancestors. 0

As I looked around, I suddenly felt something strange; only the area surrounding Ancestor of the Victim's grave was flat ground while trees stood closely around it like a garden, making it look no different from outside. 0

At that moment, Chen Ming called out to me and waved his hand. I saw him squatting on the ground looking at something intently. I walked over and asked him what was going on. 0

Chen Ming pointed at the ground for me to take a closer look. As I focused my gaze downwards, it appeared to be tree roots; moreover, they were visible every few steps away. 0

This area has been flattened by the Victim, so how could there still be tree roots? 0

I walked over to the Ancestor of the Victim's grave and noticed that it was quite large, occupying almost half of the flat ground, situated right in the center. Out of respect, I bowed to the Ancestor of the Victim. When I was younger, I had heard my grandfather talk about graves, saying that if one accidentally passed by a graveyard, they should bow to show respect, as disturbing someone's rest required a greeting; this was one of the taboos. 0

After paying my respects, I asked the Victim where his daughter had encountered problems. 0

The Victim shook his head and said that his daughter had always been with him in this area and that the issue arose only after she returned. 0

I frowned. If that were the case, then there shouldn't be any trouble. After all, the Victim's ancestors were here; they would surely protect their own family. After thinking for a moment, I asked the Victim again. He initially seemed ready to shake his head but then suddenly recalled something and excitedly told me, "I remember now! Earlier, my daughter wanted Relief and went to a nearby place, but when she came back, she was fine. There shouldn't be any problems, right?" 0

I immediately felt a surge of hope, sensing that the issue might lie there. I quickly asked the Victim where that place was. 0

The Victim awkwardly scratched his head and pointed toward a small grove on the left, saying he wasn't sure about the exact location. 0

I looked over and felt a chill run down my spine. I hesitated; after all, this was in the mountains where strange things could easily happen. It was possible that whatever malevolent entity had attached itself to the Victim's Daughter had been brought back from there. 0

Chen Ming approached quietly and nudged me, indicating that the Victim was still watching us. He whispered, "At this point, even if we don't go in, we have no choice. If the Victim thinks we're con artists and calls the police, we could be in big trouble—who knows if we'll even get to finish college." 0

Reluctantly, I followed Chen Ming into the small grove. As soon as we stepped inside, I inexplicably felt a wave of cold wash over me, causing goosebumps to rise on my skin. 0

Chen Ming deliberately raised his hand in front of me and said, "Wang Niu, look! This place really feels eerie—it's definitely a spot for little ghosts to play around. How else could there be such a chilling breeze?" 0

Chen Ming's words only heightened my unease. What did he mean by "little ghosts playing"? I glanced at him; he raised an eyebrow and explained, "Little ghosts playing is a term for places where spirits frolic—extremely eerie and quiet; not even sunlight penetrates here. Wang Niu, look at these trees—they cast no shadows! And that area near the Ancestor of the Victim's grave is very round and resembles a pond. Also, did you notice how all these trees grow toward the grave? Just now while you were talking to the Victim, I took a closer look at those exposed tree roots—they're sprouting from the Ancestor of the Victim's grave! This is called Yin Coffin—living wood that's quite sinister." 0

I was taken aback by what Chen Ming said and couldn't help but curse him silently for being so dramatic. It seemed like he had spent too much time online reading about these things lately. 0

Regardless of our banter, Chen Ming and I hadn't forgotten our main purpose for being here. Since we had come this far, we needed to find out what exactly was wrong. We split up to search for anything unusual. 0

Generally speaking, nothing bad happens in the mountains unless one offends "someone." 0

After searching for a while without finding anything particularly strange, I decided to sit down and take a break. Just then, Chen Ming called out excitedly about a significant discovery. 0

I quickly got up and walked over to him. Chen Ming pointed at a patch of dirt and exclaimed, "Wang Niu! Look at this pile of dirt! It's unscientific—there's nothing like it around here! Plus, it looks like someone has disturbed it; there are even some scraps of decayed paper nearby." 0

I crouched down and touched the ground, finding it quite hard. Not only that, but in front of this mound of earth, there was a small depression, and the soil inside was very sticky, as if it had been soaked with water. 0

At that moment, Chen Ming pulled out some Joss Paper from his pocket and scattered it around the mound, mumbling something under his breath as he walked around it several times. 0

I looked at Chen Ming with curiosity, unsure of what trick he was up to. After a while, he sighed with relief and said mysteriously, "Wang Niu, what I just did was to save both of us. Don't you feel that this mound of earth resembles a small Tomb? Look, this rotten paper looks somewhat like this." 0

As he spoke, Chen Ming took out a piece of yellow paper from his pocket. I took it from him and compared the two; indeed, they did look somewhat similar. 0

Chen Ming continued, "This yellow paper is meant for the dead; it's placed on their graves. If there's yellow paper here, doesn't that mean this mound of earth used to be a Tomb?" 0

I thought carefully and looked again at the soil in front of me. With that explanation, it really did seem plausible. 0

Seeing that I remained silent, Chen Ming began his own reasoning. "Wang Niu, do you think the Victim's daughter Relief came to this spot? After all, this area is flat. Look at the other places; the underbrush is thick and thorny; it wouldn't be possible to walk through." 0

I glanced around and saw that what Chen Ming said was true. Although there were many trees here, there was also a lot of undergrowth—dense and prickly. Even though we were wearing long pants, our legs had already been scratched up from walking through. This could very well be the spot. 0

Suddenly, my heart raced with excitement. After checking again, I followed Chen Ming out of the forest. 0

When we emerged, the Victim was no longer in sight. 0

Chen Ming cursed loudly, calling him a bastard for not being considerate. We had come to help him after all; how could he just leave us behind and slip away? 0
