Xiao Yefeng dropped the steel rod and quickly ran toward the edge of the building. Indeed, this Vietnamese was quite lucky; below was the only piece of land in the entire factory area. It was also where the patch of flowers and grass was located. By choosing to fall sideways, the Vulture avoided further internal injuries from the Alloy Arrow piercing his body. At the factory's entrance, two people had already rushed over to help the Vulture, heading toward a car that was approaching. 0

"Wow, they came prepared; there's even someone to pick him up!" Xiao Yefeng glanced at the direction the three were running before turning back to pick up the fallen crossbow and the only Armor-Piercing Bolt. He quickly loaded the bolt into the crossbow while muttering to himself. 0

However, Xiao Yefeng knew that this car was clearly meant to take him, half-dead, to find Zhu the Young Master after capturing him. But now it had become the key to the Vulture's escape, his only lifeline. 0

Yet Xiao Yefeng wasn't going to let this evidently murderous Vietnamese get away easily. He swiftly assembled the crossbow and then yanked off the broken sniper scope, relying solely on his naked eye to aim at the fleeing Vulture. 0

With a crisp sound, the Alloy Piercing Arrow was loaded. The clear noise echoed in the dimly lit abandoned factory area, and this familiar sound made the Vulture's face turn pale as beads of sweat began to drip down. 0

At that moment, the Vulture shouted angrily at his two supporters, "Bastard, hurry up!" 0

But after that sharp sound, a golden Armor-Piercing Bolt shot out from the crossbow with a chilling wind. The distance from the second floor to the plaza was such that this crossbow could reach it in less than a second. Sure enough, a piercing sound followed as the bolt penetrated flesh. 0

The man supporting the Vulture on his right side fell first, and then the Vulture collapsed heavily onto the ground. Seeing this, Xiao Yefeng cursed under his breath; just moments ago, this Vulture had pushed that man aside to block his arrow. However, he forgot that it was his specialized Armor-Piercing Bolt. The arrow pierced through the black-suited man's right chest and exited through the Vulture's right chest. At this point, there were two Armor-Piercing Bolts lodged in the Vulture's body. 0

One was embedded in his waist while another had pierced through his chest—entering from his back and exiting through his front. Both individuals who were struck by arrows were not in life-threatening danger; however, they needed to be rushed to a hospital immediately. 0

Xiao Yefeng felt an intense hatred for what the Vulture had just done; he wished he could jump down right now and dismember this bastard. Just moments ago, when he anticipated that Xiao Yefeng would shoot at him, he had pushed aside Suit Man with his right arm and shoved him backward—a betrayal of his teammate that Xiao Yefeng, a veteran who had once fought alongside his comrades through life and death, simply could not tolerate. 0

However, after both men were struck by arrows, several others rushed out of the car and hastily lifted both fallen individuals into it before speeding away from there, fearing that Xiao Yefeng would shoot again. Xiao Yefeng indeed wanted to take another shot but found he had no arrows left; out of ten Armor-Piercing Bolts, nine were embedded in the Vulture's body while only one remained on the concrete ground below. 0

Watching as the Vulture was taken away by others, Xiao Yefeng sighed helplessly. He had originally hoped to use the Vulture to find Zhu the Young Master; however, that lead was now severed. He discarded the crossbow and meticulously wiped away any traces he had touched—this was a habit of Xiao Yefeng’s that was hard to break. As he descended from the factory building and stood among a group of male thugs looking at a wrecked taxi that had been smashed up badly, Xiao Yefeng couldn't help but scratch his head. He had never encountered such a situation before. When he arrived here, he had already calculated that it would take at least over an hour to reach Golden House Courtyard on the outskirts of Hangzhou. 0

Xiao Yefeng could have run back, but two years of living in the comfort of prison had made him somewhat lazy. After casually flicking away the shards of glass from the driver's seat, he attempted to start the battered taxi. As expected, the vehicle was dead on arrival. 0

Looking around, he spotted an old-fashioned bicycle parked near an abandoned factory. At least it had air in the tires. After confirming that there were no other means of transportation, Xiao Yefeng slung his old hiking backpack over his shoulder and hopped onto the antique bike, whistling as he rode away from the derelict factory. 0

As for calling the police, that was out of the question. All police were the same; these thugs were clearly under Zhu the Young Master's influence. Reporting this would only lead to trouble. Xiao Yefeng believed that if he called for help, those thugs would be swiftly sent back to prison, while he himself would be left in a precarious situation. It was better not to involve the police, after all; they wouldn’t dare touch someone like Zhu the Young Master, a wealthy heir. 0

The most they could do was arrest those thugs and wrap things up quickly. Society was inherently unfair; this was just how power and money worked. As long as no one knew about it, everything could be smoothed over. 0

In stark contrast to Xiao Yefeng's carefree escape on the old bicycle was Vulture, who was being dragged toward a large villa in the suburbs by a car. The villa's exterior was adorned with metal railings featuring beautiful women and demons. Nestled within the forest, this hidden villa exuded an ominous aura under the setting sun, sending chills down one's spine—especially with those eerie metal railings under the night sky. 0

As the car approached the villa, its grand entrance opened automatically, allowing for an unobstructed entry. Only those who entered could see how drastically different it was inside compared to the lush greenery outside. 0

At the villa's entrance, a dozen people rushed out from within, pushing a medical cart to take away the severely injured Vulture. Clearly, there was a private operating room on the first floor of the villa. On the operating table, Vulture underwent treatment from several doctors who successfully removed an armor-piercing bolt lodged in his waist. Just as they prepared to extract another bolt that had pierced through his chest, someone kicked open the operating room door with force. 0

"Young Master, we are still—" The lead surgeon began to speak but was cut off as a massive fist slammed into his face, sending him flying against the medical cart behind him. 0

"This Young Master doesn’t need your opinions on how I do things! If you’re earning my money, you better listen well, you pathetic ants!" Zhu Ganglie’s eyes glinted with menace as he spoke. 0

The sound of dress shoes echoing against the tiled floor made Vulture feel death closing in around him. When silence fell again, Zhu Ganglie’s rotund face loomed into Vulture's view. 0

"Young Master, I did my best! That guy is no ordinary person; it would be best for you to abandon this plan!" Fear filled Vulture's eyes as he tried to explain himself. Suddenly, his voice cut off and a scream escaped his lips. 0

At that moment, Zhu Ganglie held a blood-dripping Armor-Piercing Bolt in his hand, the blood trickling from the arrow tip onto the floor. Even the drugged Vulture was thrashing in pain, the brutal way of extracting the arrow splattering blood all over the operating table. Naturally, as the one performing the act, Zhu Ganglie was splattered with blood as well. 0

"Huang Qiang is luckier than you; he has someone watching over him right now, but you are out of luck." With that, Zhu Ganglie licked the blood from his lips and plunged the Armor-Piercing Bolt directly into Vulture's throat. In an instant, blood sprayed everywhere, and Vulture, who had killed many for Zhu Ganglie, finally met his own demise at the hands of his master. 0

However, there were still others in the operating room. After the doctor was thrown aside, they had helped him escape. It seemed they understood Vulture's fate and had long since fled. 0

Zhu Ganglie spoke to the empty operating room, "This guy is yours now. As a reward, I want you to help me kill this fellow named Xiao Yefeng. At best, he's just a retired assassin. I believe his ghost will be more to your liking." 0

With no one in the room, there was naturally no response. The flickering light hanging from the ceiling added an eerie atmosphere to the recently vacated operating room. Just then, it seemed that Vulture, who had just died, twitched slightly. The lights remained unchanged; however, Vulture appeared to have lost much of his humanity. Unlike others who had just been killed, Vulture seemed to have completely dehydrated in an instant after death. Upon closer inspection, there was a faint mark on his forehead, as if cut by strands of hair. 0
