“Ghost Trap?” I murmured, and Zhang Xun confirmed, it was indeed Ghost Trap. 0

Damn, but why is Ghost Trap targeting us? My heart sank, but Zhang Xun’s expression remained dark and uncertain, and he didn’t speak immediately. 0

With Zhang Xun silent, my anxiety deepened. After a moment, I said to him, “Let’s head over there first; Gao Ling is probably still waiting for us.” 0

However, Zhang Xun replied, “I’ll tell you why he’s after us with Ghost Trap.” 0

I quickly asked, “Why?” 0

Zhang Xun suddenly sighed and said it was because we had walked out from here. 0

“What do you mean?” I pressed for clarification. 0

Zhang Xun replied, “You’ll understand in the future.” 0

He didn’t elaborate further. I stood there pondering for a while but couldn’t figure out what he meant. We had walked out from here—what did that imply? 0

One thing was clear: this was my first time in this place; I had definitely never been here before. 0

Zhang Xun and I made our way toward Coffin Street, and sure enough, Gao Ling was standing there waiting for us. Upon seeing us, Gao Ling asked, “Where have you two been? Did you catch the person?” 0

I quickly shook my head. “We didn’t catch anyone.” 0

Gao Ling responded, “Did that Brat run away that fast? That’s really Eerie, unless he’s not human.” I told Gao Ling, “You guessed right; he really isn’t human.” 0

"Gao Ling" immediately said, "It can't be this eerie, can it? Did we just arrive and already encounter something like this?" 0

I was puzzled too. We had just arrived at "Coffin Street" in "Dragon Family Town" and already ran into ghosts, not to mention the so-called "Ghost Trap." That funeral procession we saw earlier must have been part of this "Ghost Trap." 0

We stood on "Coffin Street" for a while, exchanging a few words before falling silent. 0

"Gao Ling" suggested, "No matter what, we should find a place to settle down first." 0

Both "Zhang Xun" and I agreed. 0

What could possibly happen in this haunted place in the year 198? It really felt eerie! To run into something supernatural right after arriving was truly unfortunate. 0

"Zhang Xun" walked straight ahead, and we followed him. 0

Eventually, "Zhang Xun" stopped in front of a house and took out a key. After unlocking the door, he called for us to come in. 0

"Gao Ling" remarked, "I didn't expect you to have a house here!" 0

"This isn't my house," "Zhang Xun" replied. 0

"Then how do you have the key?" I asked. What he said next made me doubt his credibility; he simply said, "I don't know." 0

Both "Gao Ling" and I were left speechless. 0

Once inside, we were captivated by the decor, which resembled an ancient tavern. Upon entering, there was a counter, and all the tables and chairs were stacked together, making it look like it hadn't opened for business yet. 0

We used our flashlights to illuminate the interior. I initially wanted to find a switch to turn on the lights, but instead of finding any electric lights, I stumbled upon an oil lamp. 0

We lit the kerosene lamp, and the room gradually became bright. 0

I asked Zhang Xun, "Why did you call me here?" 0

Zhang Xun replied, "I called you to find a carpenter. A year ago, someone tampered with us." 0

"A carpenter? What is his name?" 0

Zhang Xun said, "His name is Jiang Changsheng." 0

"A carpenter named Jiang Changsheng? Did he do something to you that allowed you to live until now?" 0

After I said this, Gao Ling was still in a daze, clearly not understanding. 0

At this point, Zhang Xun seemed to acknowledge that he had been alive for 198 years, which meant that he was definitely not just twenty years old. I thought to myself. 0

So what kind of person could Jiang Changsheng be to allow Zhang Xun and the others to live until now? Although I didn't know if their bodily functions had aged, their appearances had certainly not. 0

I asked Zhang Xun, "Is he still alive?" 0

Zhang Xun shook his head, unsure. However, I wondered if he had somehow included me in this. But I quickly dismissed that thought; it should be impossible. 0

I wasn't even born 198 years ago. How could I possibly know Zhang Xun and the others? I pushed away this absurd idea from my mind. 0

Zhang Xun continued, "There are three beds upstairs; we can sleep there tonight." 0

Gao Ling and I responded in unison, then headed upstairs. 0

Just from hearing the name Jiang Changsheng, I knew he was not someone who would easily meet his end. When we reached the upper floor, we prepared to rest, only to find that the beds here were neatly made. 0

It was as if someone had been living here. 0

I casually picked a room and stepped inside. After surveying the space, I didn’t notice anything unusual, so I lay down on the bed to rest. 0

At that moment, Gao Ling came to my room and mysteriously closed the door behind him. I asked Gao Ling, "What are you up to?" 0

Gao Ling shushed me and said, "Fei, let me ask you something honestly. How well do you know your brother?" 0

I glanced at Gao Ling, curious about why he was asking this. 0

Gao Ling continued, "Don't you find it strange?" 0

Strange about what? Gao Ling elaborated, "Your brother brought us to Coffin Street, and right after we arrived, we encountered something supernatural. Plus, he has a key to this house. When I asked him where he got it, he didn’t know. Don’t you think that’s odd?" 0

I pondered for a moment. Listening to Gao Ling's words, it did seem a bit strange. I replied, "Are you suspecting Zhang Xun?" 0

Gao Ling said, "Fei, I'm being straightforward; don’t take it the wrong way. I really think there might be something off with your brother." 0

At that moment, I recalled what Zhang Xun had said: he could be trusted but not fully trusted. Could it be that Zhang Xun really had issues? 0

He came here to help me uncover the secrets of the past and claimed he was looking for Jiang Changsheng. But when I asked him if Jiang Changsheng was still alive, he didn’t have an answer. 0

I couldn't understand why I had come here. Now that I thought about it, it really felt full of holes. 0

Was Zhang Xun trying to trick me into coming here? The more I pondered, the more I felt it was possible! 0

My expression darkened as Gao Ling said to me, "Fei, if your brother really has a problem, then he would have us killed here!" 0

His skills were high, and he was quite capable; there was no way the two of us could handle him. 0

Gao Ling handed me a cigarette, and I took it and lit it up. After taking a puff, I said to Gao Ling, "Right now, it's all just speculation. We shouldn't jump to conclusions without evidence." 0

Gao Ling replied, "If we find evidence, we might end up meeting the King of Hell. If it were up to me, we should leave this place now; Coffin Street is truly eerie." 0

His words made me waver. Upon careful consideration, there really was something off about Zhang Xun. 0

I glanced at Gao Ling, who said, "Let's go." 0

I asked him, "Are you really that sure?" 0

Gao Ling lit his own cigarette and said, "Fei, I've been in this line of work for quite some time now. Although I'm not always accurate in reading people, your brother gives me a really uneasy feeling this time." 0

I stared at Gao Ling as he stared back at me. 0

Gao Ling continued, "Fei, you need to make a decision soon. Your brother's words are contradictory; there's definitely something wrong." 0

Damn it, Gao Ling's words made me increasingly uncertain. Finally, I said, "Alright then, I'll leave him a note and we can leave this place." 0

“Gao Ling, hurry up,” I urged. 0

After searching the room for a while, I found some paper and a brush. I quickly wrote on a piece of rice paper, “Zhang Xun, we’ve left.” 0

Once I finished writing, Gao Ling said to me, “Fei, if we don’t leave now, it’ll be too late.” 0

Seeing Gao Ling so anxious, I asked, “Why are you in such a hurry?” 0

“It’s for our sake,” Gao Ling replied. 0

I left the note behind and exited the room with Gao Ling. Fortunately, we weren’t noticed by Zhang Xun. We ran down Coffin Street; it was just past ten o'clock. 0

After running for a bit, I said to Gao Ling, “Why are we still running? Go get the car!” 0

As soon as I finished speaking, Gao Ling paused for a few seconds before exclaiming, “Right! The car! How could I forget?” She took a few steps forward but kept a short distance from me. 0

Just then, Gao Ling tripped over her own shoelaces. I shook my head and said, “You’re such a hassle.” 0

“Wait up! I’ll get the car right away!” Gao Ling called from behind. 0

But just as she finished speaking, Zhang Xun’s voice rang out. “Where are you two planning to go?” His tone was chilling. 0
