"There are only less than five miles of mountain road left."
After observing cautiously for a moment and finding nothing amiss, Ye Kai immediately donned his multifunctional combat suit and activated the nano-mirror reflection feature, making himself gradually disappear into the air.
Faced with so many Cyclops corpses—let's just call them Cyclops—Ye Kai couldn't help but feel a sense of loss. After all, this was a new species, and it could also serve as experimental material for WIKI.

The entrance was barely wide enough for two people to pass side by side, which gave Ye Kai—who was observing from behind a boulder ten meters away—a strange sense of incongruity.
Ye Kai frowned slightly and casually released a fist-sized steel ball. After a few soft sounds, the steel ball transformed into a silver mouse with shifty eyes. It stood upright and surveyed its surroundings with bright red eyes before instantly darting into the hall like a streak of silver light.
After a moment, glancing at the clever display in his hand, his expression grew more perplexed.
He couldn't shake off the feeling that there was occasionally a faint blue light flowing along the walls inside the stone hall. However, when he instructed the mouse to take a closer look, it couldn't discern anything unusual.
After several attempts, he muttered to himself: Could it be that someone has cast some kind of Restriction here?
Ye Kai lowered his head and scanned the ground nearby once more. After analyzing with Super Modern technology, he still found no traces of anyone having been there, which made him narrow his eyes.
"Something is definitely off! Although this basin is somewhat remote, a stone hall of this size shouldn't go unnoticed. Moreover, the information I have was provided by that ancestor from the Tang Dynasty, so there shouldn't be any issues!"
In an instant of doubt, Ye Kai's mind raced with countless thoughts, and he instinctively sensed something was amiss in this place.
However, he felt reluctant to leave without uncovering the truth.
With a flick of his sleeve, a hundred or so steel balls the size of thumbs appeared. After a faint rustling sound, they transformed into clever little mosquitoes and hummingbirds, vanishing into the hall in the blink of an eye.
He then took a quick turn around this strange Stone Forest, making sure to affix several talismans onto the stone pillars every few steps.
After a brief moment, he returned to his original spot, formed hand seals, and shouted, "Secret Technique Barrier, Moving Maze, activate!"
Almost instantaneously, every stone pillar adorned with talismans in the Stone Forest lit up with a layer of golden light. The golden glow then spread across the ground like mercury.
"Buzz!"
After a low humming sound, the golden light dissipated, but the Stone Forest transformed dramatically once again. It became a massive maze, with many walls etched with the fierce visages of monstrous beasts.
Seeing the result, Ye Kai nodded in satisfaction. This formation was one he was using for the first time; although its foundation consisted merely of some talismans, it was enough to prevent cultivators at the Heart-Moving Stage from intruding.
Moreover, those strange and ferocious beast patterns were not just for show—once someone entered, there would be plenty of entertainment to be had.
Paper Steel Talisman, Beast Mimic Rune, Puppet Rune, Rapid Rune, Demon-Breaking Talisman—these five fundamental runes had long been thoroughly researched by him. Just these basic runes alone would be enough to give any intruder quite a surprise.
Suddenly, Ye Kai noticed something unusual. A Mechanical Bird had just flown onto a Bronze Cauldron in the hall when it was met with a surge of azure light. Not only was the Mechanical Bird sent flying, but it also emitted a deep buzzing sound.
The Mechanical Bird spun in a series of flips before being flung several meters away.

Ye Kai did not believe that the formation outside could hold them off for long.

Moments later, Ye Kai suddenly frowned, his gaze sharpening.
After taking two steps forward, he stopped again, a mischievous smile creeping onto his lips. "Although I don't know who you are, finding your way here means we are rivals. Don't blame me for what happens next..."
With that thought in mind, he flicked his sleeve, revealing dozens of dark talismans inscribed with strange patterns and runes that faintly glowed. Then he opened his mouth and unleashed pure magical energy, forming hand seals as he shouted: "Five Elements Formation, activate! Monsters and Spirits, appear!!! Manifest!!!"
A hundred talismans floated in mid-air, each glowing with a light that was either bright or dim, red or black. In an instant, an invisible wave enveloped the entire hall, and then, following some kind of pattern, transformed into streams of flowing light that danced around.
With a soft sound, they dissipated into nothingness like spirit light.
Stepping back a few paces, Ye Kai took out a dark red jade talisman once more. With a smile on his lips, he glanced at the entrance of the hall and casually tossed the talisman aside. Then, with a light push from his toes against the ground, he gracefully leaped into the stone door inscribed with the words "Life and Death are Predestined."
Even though he was accompanied by nearly a hundred Nano Machine Pathfinders, Ye Kai did not dare to let his guard down for even a moment. Although he had encountered no anomalies along the way—everything was as calm as still water—he had no doubt this tranquility was deliberately designed by those before him to lull people into complacency.
Suddenly, data was transmitted back from the scouting Mechanical Bird. He quickly accelerated, shooting forward like an arrow.
"What is this?"
Standing among the Nano Machine Pathfinders, Ye Kai swept his Divine Sense forward and immediately revealed a hint of playful amusement on his face.
"Restrictions!"
"Multiple Restrictions at that; this is getting interesting!"
With just a sweep of his Divine Sense, he understood that someone must have discovered this Restriction earlier but was unable to break it. In their frustration, they had set another layer of Restrictions before leaving to block others.
Ye Kai held no significant resentment towards such individuals, but he certainly felt no fondness for them either; it was only human nature.
The one who set up these Restrictions likely harbored thoughts like "If I can't have it, neither can anyone else," or "Even if you can break my Restrictions, I'll make it difficult for you first!"
However, there remained one question!
If this shallow and inadequate Restriction only concealed another Restriction behind it, and that person could not break through nor knew what lay inside, then surely they wouldn't feel so unwilling!
So, does this guy who set up the Restriction know about the treasures inside, even though he can't open the subsequent Restriction? And...
"Damn it, no wonder..."
If Ye Kai had previously looked at this crude and simplistic Restriction with disdain, now he was almost breaking out in a cold sweat.
This damn guy is too insidious.
