Heat!
The rolling waves of heat distorted the very air around him.
Wiping away a bead of sweat, he looked down at the creature nestled in his arms, its playful antics eliciting a mix of amusement and exasperation. It kept lifting one of its paws, pointing toward the altar ahead and chirping insistently.
This creature resembled a Bulbasaur from Pokémon, known as Devil Vine's Subject, with a body that glimmered like warm jade and large eyes filled with innocence and joy.
Whenever he gently stroked its head, it would close its eyes in bliss and emit soft chirps of delight.
This vast space was what Ye Kai referred to as the Treasure Room.
Before him stood bizarre stone platforms rising from the lava, showing no signs of melting. Clearly, they could be classified as some form of Material Treasure.
These platforms were connected by iron chains as thick as a person's waist. To cross over, one would have to rely on these chains or on the Bulbasaur. However, seeing the creature so comfortably settled made him hesitate to disturb it.
He cautiously glanced at the bubbling lava beneath him, which spewed forth tongues of fiery heat. Ye Kai couldn't help but marvel; creating such a space was no simple feat.
The wisdom of Ancient Humans was truly remarkable!
Testing the iron chain beneath his feet, he stepped down, causing a loud clatter that startled him. Instinctively, he activated Psychokinesis and soared forward.
In mere moments, he covered the short distance of about a hundred meters and landed lightly on the central platform. Before him stood an altar over a meter high, adorned with intricate patterns. He immediately sensed that it was connected to something sinister.
Twisted figures resembling anguished statues were vividly carved into the stone, seemingly capable of depicting scenes that had once played out before his eyes.
“Chirp!”
Ye Kai paused, noticing the Bulbasaur pointing at a four-cornered stone pillar standing 160 centimeters tall in front of the altar. Curiosity piqued, he approached it and gave it a gentle knock, discovering that it seemed hollow inside.
"Bang!"
As his right palm pressed against the stone pillar, a muffled sound echoed, and instead of showing any signs of cracking, the pillar erupted in a burst of red light, sending him stumbling back several meters.
"Chirp chirp..."
Seeing this scene, Bulbasaur immediately panicked. A vine shot out from the flower bud on its back, swiftly smashing through the seemingly resilient red light.
Watching Bulbasaur, who was bristling with anger and had wide eyes filled with fury, Ye Kai felt a warmth in his heart. It seemed that this little guy truly regarded him as its master. Throughout their journey, it had effortlessly helped him bypass nearly all the traps.
He took out the palm-sized Silver Key and smiled again as he slowly approached the stone pillar, gently placing it on top.
Moments later, a dazzling silver radiance illuminated the area. The originally smooth and intact surface of the stone platform emitted several crisp sounds before transforming into a bookshelf that measured one meter long and half a meter wide.
"Chirp chirp chirp..."
Noticing Bulbasaur's urgent calls and anxious gaze, Ye Kai's expression sharpened. He quickly grabbed a thick book from the bookshelf that shimmered with an inexplicable glow.
"Boom boom boom!"
Flames erupted all around, and lava splashed everywhere. It felt as if the entire ground was in turmoil at that moment. The stone platform beneath him let out several loud hisses as scorching air surged forth, startling Ye Kai. Psychokinesis surged within him instantly.
Just as he leaped into the air, there was a sharp crack, and the altar exploded into pieces. In an instant, shadows filled with madness and destruction surged upward.
"Hehehe... It's been a long time since I've seen this world!"
"This time, I will spread fear across the entire world!"
Ye Kai was stunned. He never expected that his adventure would unleash so many ancient demons!
What he didn't anticipate was that Nightmare Space would actually inform him that the mission was complete.
"Nightmare Space special notice: You have not only discovered the witch's secret but also excellently traced the source of that secret."
"Mission Name: Investigate the Witch Hidden Among the Nobility (Note: Completed)."

Ye Kai felt frustrated.
What on earth was happening?
After finally obtaining something, he had unleashed ancient demons who were now out for his blood.
However, glancing at the seemingly collapsing space and the shattered altar spewing black smoke, Ye Kai's eyes twitched. Psychokinesis surged forth as he instantly vanished into the corridor ahead.
As long as he could return to the surface and regroup with Wen Changqing and the others, he could always flee to another place. After all, once the time was up, he would be teleported back to Nightmare Space immediately.
As he pushed Speed to its limits, he casually tossed out numerous Grenade, the sound of explosions and collapsing tunnels echoed around him.
While it wouldn't completely wipe out the group of demons, he could certainly delay them for a while.
Looking up at the Crystal Coffin emitting a faint green glow, Ye Kai smirked disdainfully. He was certain that there was nothing left inside; those people, including Ariel, had definitely suffered some losses.
He threw down hundreds of specially made Grenade, while Ye Kai slowly floated in mid-air. He patted Bulbasaur and said in a deep voice, "Scout above immediately and drive away all hostile creatures."
"Chirp chirp..."
Upon hearing the command and sensing a hint of 'hostility', Bulbasaur's eyes turned red. It hadn't felt its master's warmth for thousands of years, and now someone dared to disturb them. This was simply unforgivable; they had to be executed!
"Chilly swoosh!"
A large burst of fine tendrils erupted from the bud on its back, slowly transforming into dark vines with a faint metallic sheen as they detached, sweeping outward.
"Bang bang bang!"
After a series of explosive sounds, Ye Kai shot out instantly, looking at the disheveled group with blood trickling from their mouths. He couldn't help but sneer, "Kill them!"
