"What is this?!"
Ye Kai exclaimed in astonishment, muttering, "No wonder I heard a piercing scream earlier..."
It turned out that locked within the Blood Pool was a two-meter-long creature, shimmering gold, with two-inch silver horns protruding from its forehead—the Unicorn Serpent.
The Unicorn Serpent?!!!
Suddenly, Ye Kai gasped in horror, "This is Transforming a Snake into a Dragon, an Earth Spirit Beast!!!"
What the hell!
Where did this old guy find an Azure Dragon?
He watched as it struggled desperately to escape the Blood Pool, but was bound by iron chains that rendered it powerless to take flight. Each time it managed to rise about a meter, it was already at its limit before crashing back into the Blood Pool with a thud.
Unlike ordinary snakes, the Azure Dragon's eyes were incredibly expressive, filled with endless grievance and sorrow, as it let out continuous cries of anguish.
Dong Qi was truly ruthless; he had used specially crafted iron chains to trap this Earth Spirit Beast within a massive iron ball and confined it in the Blood Pool.
Could it be that he intends to refine the Azure Dragon using the Blood Pool?
Suddenly, Ye Kai furrowed his brow. With a swift motion, he dashed toward the dungeon through the already collapsed massive opening.
Looking at the two-meter-long Azure Dragon, thick as a wrist and struggling desperately while emitting heart-wrenching wails, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of pity.
Psychokinesis surged forth, immediately lifting the massive iron ball at the bottom of the Blood Pool.
"Don't be afraid, buddy." Seeing the Azure Dragon's eyes filled with a mix of vigilance and panic, Ye Kai spoke softly, "I’m here to help you break those chains."
With a splash, the Azure Dragon thrashed about in a frenzy, desperately trying to free itself from the iron bindings.
When it noticed Ye Kai reaching out, it let out a series of terrified cries, its wails echoing like a beast mourning the loss of its mother.
Ye Kai frowned deeply; it seemed this creature was truly frightened. He quickly called out in the System Space, "God, come out and take a look! There's an Azure Dragon here!"
"Oh? An Azure Dragon?!"
The deity poked its upper body out from the Great Light Sphere, scratching its chubby cheek with a confused expression. "Why didn’t Lord God bring it in?"
Ye Kai slapped his forehead, realizing how foolish he had been to lose his composure upon seeing an Azure Dragon.
However, rather than feeling regret for encountering a creature from Biochemical lore for the first time, he found himself increasingly fond of it. He thought to himself that perhaps he should raise it until it grew into a true dragon—imagine the thrill of riding in a chariot pulled by a real dragon!
This Azure Dragon didn’t have the cold demeanor typical of serpents; instead, its lively eyes sparkled with innocence, reminiscent of a three-year-old child.
Watching its eyes slowly turn red, revealing its timid nature, Ye Kai couldn't help but chuckle. He playfully tapped its head and then used Psychokinesis to wrap around the chains before swiftly pulling it into the System Space.
“Wow!”
The deity was excited to see the Azure Dragon pitifully entangled by iron chains on the ground. A ten-meter-diameter beam of light descended, enveloping the Azure Dragon and slowly lifting it into the air.
“This is the real Azure Dragon. Hmm, although it has a bit of a premature vibe... Oh, it seems to be underdeveloped; its roots haven’t even formed yet. I wonder who was so cruel…”
Looking at the Azure Dragon, which was stiff and had a pleading look in its eyes, the deity muttered, “I’m not going to eat you, so what are you afraid of?”
“Bang!”
With a wave of its hand, the massive iron ball and chains shattered instantly, turning into countless sparkling fragments that fell through the air.
Then, strange runes twisted down from the light sphere, slowly imprinting themselves onto the dragon's body. In just a moment, over a thousand runes had already gathered.
At that moment, the two-meter-long Azure Dragon radiated brilliant golden light all over its body. Soon after, a soft Radiance lit up from the two-inch horn on its forehead, continuously swirling in circles in midair.
With the deity present, Ye Kai wasn’t worried about any mishaps with the Azure Dragon. After watching for a while and finding it boring—this creature just kept circling around—he decided to inspect the dungeon more closely. Finding nothing else of interest, he drained the Blood Pool completely and dealt with the blood to prevent this place from becoming a terrifying and bizarre land.
It should be noted that this Blood Pool was obtained after Dong Qi had slain tens of thousands of Creatures. According to Fantasy lore, this place would likely give rise to some supernatural Creatures in several years.
After leaping out of the dungeon once again, Ye Kai saw that Dong Qi had been completely cleaned up and was standing obediently to one side while Ye Er was expressionlessly asking something.
"Master, Master, where have you just been? This guy is utterly despicable, using the lifeblood of so many people to feed a monstrous snake with horns on its head."
Upon seeing him, Lin Pingzhi immediately shouted out. For someone from a martial arts family and a scholarly background, this was indeed a bit disrespectful.
However, it also made Ye Kai realize just how furious Lin Pingzhi truly was.
Ye Kai chuckled as he looked at the flushed face of Lin Pingzhi and the furrowed brows of Linghu Chong, whose eyes were filled with killing intent. He spoke, "As the saying goes, those who are pitiful must also have their faults. This person has committed numerous evils, his body entangled in karmic retribution. If he does not sincerely repent and seek atonement, he may have to wander through the Six Paths of Reincarnation in the Beast Realm for countless lifetimes."
In truth, this was not mere nonsense; after seeing the Azure Dragon, he suddenly felt that if there truly were mythical dimensions and worlds, then perhaps the so-called Six Paths of Reincarnation were real as well.
He had yet to step outside the reality of Earth; how could he know how many races and creatures existed in the Cosmic Starry Sky?
And how many creatures possessed divine abilities comparable to those of gods?
According to cosmic lore, there were Star Beasts capable of traversing the void in physical form. If he encountered such beings, even unleashing the full power of his Aerial Battleship would likely be futile within moments.
Suddenly, he turned sharply and looked toward a mountain peak across from him, his eyes shining with intensity. "Ha! Is that the Northern Camel, Mu Gao Feng?!"
He hadn't expected to find him there!
It seemed he was also coveting treasures or riches from this place.
"Master, Dong Qi has already located the whereabouts of that monstrous snake. It is in Sichuan Province, Shennongjia," Ye Er whispered as he stepped forward.
In Sichuan, Shennongjia!
Ye Kai turned his head and chuckled, shaking it lightly. "It seems we have quite a connection with the Qingcheng Sect!"
However, upon seeing Dong Qi's vacant gaze, he couldn't help but shake his head again. This old fellow was completely done for; his spiritual anchor was gone. Even if he were to live on, he would merely be a Walking Dead.
After handing him over to Ye Er for handling, Ye Kai decided not to concern himself any further. At this moment, he had already begun to feel the urge to treasure hunt.
With the Multifunctional Detector in hand, this Black Wind Stronghold, which had harmed countless innocent civilians, was nearly unearthed by Ye Kai.
Of course, all of this was done behind Lin Pingzhi and Linghu Chong's backs. By now, he had led the two of them to a lavishly decorated courtyard where they could rest since it was already late.
After the fierce battle, everyone else was fine, but Lin Pingzhi and Linghu Chong were already yawning from exhaustion.
Collapsing onto the soft bed and gazing at the various Taoist texts displayed on the Light Screen, along with over two hundred boxes of gold and silver treasures, even Ye Kai couldn't help but exclaim in awe.
What a grand display!
So much gold and silver jewelry could sustain an army of thirty thousand for an entire year.
