“Get far away and don’t come back? How ridiculous,” Yu Jun replied coldly. “If there’s a virus leak, why haven’t you left?”
“Oh, I see now. You’re here for that thing too?”
In an instant, it seemed he had guessed Ye Kai's true intentions. He swayed slightly and vanished back into the shadows.
“Stubborn fool! You're like a rock in a latrine—stinky and hard!” Ye Kai sneered as he raised his right hand sharply toward the rear right.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Three shots rang out in quick succession, and a figure in black was sent flying backward, crashing to the ground and rolling several times before slamming against a large tree, motionless.
"If it weren't for your overconfidence, if it weren't for your arrogance, perhaps you could have survived."
Ye Kai squinted as he stood in place, a slight smirk on his lips. "So, still pretending to be dead? Even if I come closer, you won't be able to break my shield. I'm curious, why are you doing this?"
"Sigh!"
Yu Jun let out a sigh, slowly getting up and brushing off the grass from his clothes. With a resigned tone, he said, "I once thought I had reached the pinnacle of martial arts, but now I realize that there are still people in this world who can threaten my life."
"I could have helped you. If you had cooperated, I would have found what you needed and let you take it away. In fact, I could have allowed you to leave here alive." Ye Kai glanced at Yu Jun before looking past him toward the Mansion.
Suddenly, the wind picked up, accompanied by the sound of rotor blades.
He calculated in his mind that if he delayed any longer, it would be disastrous if he encountered Matthew Edison and his special Mercenary Team.
"Yu Jun, whether you believe it or not, all I need is a sample of the virus and the antidote; everything else can be yours."
Ye Kai waved his right hand, making the USP Pistol disappear again. In its place appeared a Tactical Grenade. He coldly stated, "You heard that too; the incoming team is the Umbrella Corporation's Mercenary Team on a Special Mission. If you're not afraid, we can continue this. I'll throw the grenade immediately."
