"The testimony of the witness is valid and will be retained. Does the Plaintiff have anything else to state?"
"Your Honor, although the witness provided by the defendant has stated facts relevant to this case, we believe that the defendant's witness is suspected of cheating! Miss Daisy, originally the personal nanny brought by our Plaintiff from her hometown, has now unknowingly become the defendant's witness. There must be some unknown facts involved, and we urge Your Honor to carefully consider and strive to find the most compelling evidence to refute this!"
"Is there anything else the defendant would like to state?"
"Your Honor, the witnesses provided by defendant have truthfully reflected what they have personally witnessed. This matter is absolutely true and without any error. We are willing to draft a joint letter to submit to Your Honor to guarantee defendant's character and integrity!"
"The court is now in recess for twenty minutes. We will reconvene in twenty minutes!"
The judge announced the recess, and the judge and others first stepped down; then followed by the defendant and the plaintiff.
The people in the audience, however, did not move at all. They all looked around and whispered to each other, discussing what the outcome of this case would be!
As a participant in the whole event, I can also say that I am a party involved, or I can also say that I am a bystander. I don't know what words to use at this moment to express my own feelings!
As a party involved, I am the instigator of the whole case. If it weren't for my extreme desire for money, perhaps I wouldn't have instigated Mrs. Trelawney to the point of divorce! But then again, if it weren't for the love between the two of us as the foundation, things wouldn't have come to this.
So, are we at fault? We are not at fault. We just want to strive for our own love, to strive for a better life. We are not at fault!
As a bystander, I have come to understand human nature more clearly. In this turbulent era, if people do not act for themselves, they will be condemned by the heavens and the earth! There is no genuine emotion, everything is for personal gain. Anyone will bow down before money, anyone will willingly become a tool for money, as long as there is money, anything is possible!
Just like the nanny Daisy, for a little bit of profit, she chose to abandon the light and embrace the darkness; just like myself, in order to enter the upper-class aristocratic circle, I chose to rely on women to rise in status; just like my boss, Mr. Zhangjian, who dreams of one day ruling and having everything under his control, choosing to extensively expand and build his own palace according to his own desires...
This is all not wrong, so I persuade myself that I should not be sad. Before the judge announces the final result, we still have some hope! I hope we can win smoothly and get what we want. Our plaintiff is currently 35 years old, and based on the average human lifespan of 70 years, the defendant should make a one-time payment to cover 35 years of medication expenses. Here is a detailed list of monthly medication costs for your review, Your Honor. We also have witnesses to testify to the truth of this matter, and if necessary, we can summon them to court."
"Your Honor, our defendant refuses to pay for these medical expenses, as the personal injury was caused by the plaintiff's own misstep and has no relation to us. We even took the initiative to arrange for her treatment with the best doctors and hospitals, which led to her current improved condition."
Regarding the issue of child custody, the defendant is determined not to let the children be raised by Plaintiff for two reasons: first, Plaintiff has no source of income; second, Plaintiff is not a competent mother and will not provide the children with a good education, instead leading them astray with her chaotic personal life. All living, educational, and future marriage expenses for the two children will be borne by our side, defendant, without any contribution from Plaintiff.
Our party, defendant, agrees to the divorce but will not provide any compensation to the other party, including property distribution. This is due to two reasons: first, Plaintiff has been living a life of luxury without contributing anything to the household since marrying defendant; second, Plaintiff engaged in the reprehensible behavior of infidelity before the formal divorce, which disqualifies her from receiving any property distribution.
"The court is now in recess for ten minutes. Your Honor needs to consult with other members of the jury to make a final decision!" The security police on site received a hint from Your Honor and suddenly announced a recess!
The final judgment is that Mrs. Trelawney did not receive any of her husband's property, and she was thus left with nothing!
This result really came out of the blue, I couldn't handle it and almost fainted...
