"Your Honor, let me explain what happened. Madam angered her husband by overspending, so he locked her in a room and restricted her movements. On the second day of her confinement, my husband had to go on a business trip out of town. Before leaving, he instructed me to take good care of Madam and pay attention to her every word and action. On the evening of my husband's departure, Madam sent me away to have an evening gown tailored for her. The upscale tailor shop was far away, and it would take me about 4 hours round trip. Instead, I secretly went to a private tailor shop nearby to pass the time, following her instructions. After about ten minutes, I noticed someone in the small grove in the backyard. I couldn't see what he looked like, but I was sure it was a man because he was carrying a ladder. He propped the ladder against the lady's window, climbed up, and leaped into her room. The room remained dark the whole time. What would a man and a woman do in a dark room at night? Use your imagination!
It was about time for me to return, and the man left the same way, carrying his ladder. The dogs were unusually quiet that night, so quiet that I started to worry they might become suspicious. It seems they really overlooked this small detail. In the end, I came out on top.
After learning about this matter, I immediately went to take care of the things Madam had instructed me to do. Sure enough, she only asked me about the relevant matters the next day. I guessed it right again! Although I didn't see clearly which man it was, Madam was indeed having an affair behind her husband's back! That's the story I wanted to tell, and I've finished speaking!"
