As the banquet progressed, some nobles seemed to have had their fill of merriment. They formed small groups, huddled together at a table, exuding an air of exclusivity that repelled outsiders.
However, this was the moment Yan had been waiting for. After enduring for so long, he finally found a chance to breathe. He slipped into a quiet corner, standing alone while keeping an eye on the comings and goings of the slaves, searching for new faces and familiar ones.
After a while, a young woman with an Eastern appearance caught Lian Yun's attention. Upon closer observation, she felt an overwhelming sense of familiarity.
In truth, a person's face could only be so distinctive; despite countless variations, many similarities remained. Often, what set one person apart from another was their spirit and character.
The woman Lian Yun noticed was a Female Ghost he had never seen before, yet he had mentally simulated her appearance many times based on Wang He's descriptions. Although he had encountered many similar individuals, this one matched his mental image most closely.
She had a delicate figure and a pretty face, with an expression that was both pitiful and yet held an indescribable stubbornness in her eyes.
Under normal circumstances, this woman might appear very fragile, but in extraordinary situations, she would show remarkable resolve—just like when she risked her life to save Wang He.
However, over the past two years, Yan had misidentified many people. Even though this one felt right, he did not hold out much hope. He stepped forward to block the Female Ghost's path and asked, "What is your name?"
The ghost immediately took two steps back, fear etched on her face. "W-what do you want from me? I am the Princess's Maid... I am not for sale!"
This scene naturally drew Abed's attention. When he approached Yan, his expression was serious as he asked, "Is she the one you're looking for? The princess's attendant is not something to be taken lightly."
Lian Yun shook his head slightly. "She resembles what my friend described, but I've encountered others who looked similar before; I can't be certain yet."
"There was a boy who lived in the slums with a girl by his side. Later, when the boy faced danger, that girl sacrificed herself to save him. Now that boy has been searching for the girl's ghost."
"Wang He... is it Brother Wang He who sent you to find me?" The Female Ghost's face fell in sorrow; if not for her Ghost Body, tears would have streamed down her cheeks.
Clearly, they had found the right person. Lian Yun let out a small sigh of relief; finding this woman brought him closer to unraveling the perfect lie.
Yan nodded. "It seems you really are Dong Xin."
With that knowledge and knowing her name, Dong Xin fully trusted Yan. Yet suddenly she bowed her head in sadness and said, "Master, please... when you return, tell Brother Wang He that in this life we are fated to be apart. Please ask him not to worry about Xin anymore."
Lian Yun looked at Abed and asked, "Is there any way you can help?"
"Do you think Princess Anarili lacks wealth?" Abed shook his head helplessly.
However, Lian Yun did not give up and asked again, "Does Princess Anarili not have anything that requires help from outsiders? Since we have met, I must take her back to see her friends."
"Master, you really don't need to. Knowing that Brother Wang He still remembers me is enough for me. You don't have to do anything for me."

Yan's eyes brightened slightly, but Abed wore a warning expression that puzzled Lian Yun.
However, since Princess Anarili showed interest in negotiating, Yan did not hesitate too much and said to Dong Xin, "Take me to Princess Anarili."
Dong Xin initially had a warning look on her face as well, but seeing Lian Yun's insistence made it difficult for her to refuse. With no other choice, Dong Xin reluctantly led Yan away from the banquet scene. They walked through several long corridors and entered a garden.
Yan looked in surprise at a creature with a human upper body and a serpent's lower body.
This creature was wrapped in bandages except for its eyes, which glowed with an eerie red light and looked quite strange.
"Yan pays respects to Princess Anarili." Even at the edge of the garden, Lian Yun had already bowed in greeting.
"Did you come from Yin Yang City?"
At that moment, Annalise's voice pierced the heart. Though it lacked any special malice or authority, it sent a chill through one's entire being. However, Yan merely nodded, her expression unchanged.
"Do you know about my brother?"
"I do not know the name of the princess's brother."
"Fei Sel!"
Yan shook her head and replied, "The three strongest in Yin City are Curse, Cat, and Snake."
"Snake must be my brother. If you can take me to Yin Yang City, I will give you this slave; otherwise, I will eat this slave. Hehe~~"
Although Annalise laughed like a young girl, her words were chillingly sinister. This was no longer a negotiation but rather coercion and threat.
Lian Yun suddenly recalled that Annalise was forbidden from leaving the palace because the Demon Empress did not allow her to go to Yin Yang City. In simple terms, unless Lian Yun was willing to disregard Dong Xin's fate, she would have to stand against the Demon Empress.
