Chapter 109: Wu Tai's Loss
Chen Er Gou regarded Lian Yun's request as a command. Without a hint of hesitation, he broke through to the Demon King Realm and even aimed to reach a higher level to provide greater assistance to Lian Yun.
However, he was simultaneously stopped by Big Head, Three Spirits, and Zhao Jinlong and Zhao Jinhui, six in total.
Although Lian Yun's box, transformed from the Yin-Yang Stage, could compress their realms, a sudden leap in power could lead to instability or even damage to their foundation.

At the end of the passage were two massive sets of teeth and four blood-red giant eyes.
Just seeing these was enough to instill fear in anyone.
With Wu Tai in hand, Lian Yun remained vigilant while also trying to relax as much as possible, walking slowly forward.
Halfway through the passage, an Evil Spirit Ant slightly poked its head out. It was a creature so large that a single person could not fully embrace it; its massive head had jaws nearly three times larger than a human skull.
Just those two enormous teeth made one feel as if they could be fashioned into two scythe-like weapons of death.
However, Lian Yun did not stop his advance; he continued forward.
As he traversed two-thirds of the passage, both ants revealed half of their bodies.
They were ordinary ants, which gave Lian Yun a slight sense of relief. If they had been a special breed of ant, he would have likely turned back.
Ordinary ants had two weaknesses: their "neck" and "waist." These areas were relatively slender compared to the rest of their bodies. If he could sever the ants at these two points, it would almost guarantee victory.
Originally, due to the overwhelming strength of the Evil Spirit Ant, many countries studying the Ant Demon retained knowledge of these two weaknesses to ensure they could still eliminate them if things got out of control.
However, some weaker nations, in pursuit of victory, disregarded this and genetically modified the ants to enlarge their necks and waists, making them difficult to target for extermination.
Yet, although the two Ant Demons before him were merely ordinary ones, Lian Yun still dared not let his guard down.
After taking a few more steps, he found himself ten meters away from the two ants. He summoned two Glow Sticks and sent them flying toward the ground beneath the ants.
However, before Lian Yun could release his control over the Glow Sticks, they were pinned to the ground and disappeared into the earth as if swallowed whole.
This caused Lian Yun's expression and gaze to become inevitably serious.
The speed of the two ants was incredibly fast. If he charged in recklessly, Lian Yun felt that even if he managed to reach behind them, he would undoubtedly sustain severe injuries.
After a moment of silence, Lian Yun released Wu Tai but kept it floating beside him. After gathering his strength for a moment, he pointed ahead with a wave of his hand.
Wu Tai instantly collided with one of the ant's massive mandibles, creating a shower of sparks that illuminated the entire passage in a fiery glow.
Wu Tai was rebounded back, and Lian Yun grasped it in his hand, frowning slightly as his expression darkened to an ominous degree.
Two ants stood side by side, blocking Lian Yun's view of the twin flowers behind them.
The ant that had been attacked seemed unfazed by the situation; instead, it faded into the darkness, while the other moved to a central position, watching him intently.
Lian Yun once again wielded the Sword Control Technique, and Wu Tai shot forward towards the Ant Demon.
However, this time there was no spark; instead, a crisp ringing sound echoed.
“Ding~~” Lian Yun was startled to find that his Wu Tai had been caught by the massive pincers of the Ant Demon in front of him.
Lian Yun struggled to use the Sword Control Technique to retract Wu Tai, but under the grip of the Ant Demon's pincers, it remained completely still.
In simple terms, Lian Yun's Wutai Sword had been captured by this Ant Demon.
At that moment, Lian Yun felt he had been tricked because as soon as he approached this ant, the other one lurking in the darkness—the Evil Spirit Ant—would likely launch an attack on him.
However, it was absolutely impossible for Lian Yun to give up on Wu Tai.
Thus, Lian Yun quickly ran outside the cave and directly pulled Zhou Tong inside.
