Chapter 77: Malice from the Center
The fifteen individuals did not hear Lian Yun's remark, "We just need to live in the moment."

Back on the surface, Murong Ying spoke first: "There are two herbs we hope you can help us obtain. We'll head back to the East District and clear some obstacles for you!"
With that, she led her team eastward, disappearing from sight almost in the blink of an eye.
"Should there be any mistakes in the growth of the Cloud Emperor, you are the only one to ask!" Jiang Ao warned Zhou Tong with a serious expression before leading the team away into the western horizon.
Zhou Tong initially felt quite frustrated, thinking, "What does Jiang Ao have to do with how the Cloud Emperor grows?" However, he soon began to feel a sense of pride.
This was simply how his lord was; even those who were 'unrelated' were cared for and valued immensely.
Nevertheless, Zhou Tong was strong-willed and quickly calmed his mind. He then looked at Lian Yun and said, "Although the plan will be adjusted, it won't affect my originally scheduled itinerary!"
Lian Yun nodded, and then the six of them swiftly moved forward.
However, unlike their previous journey, the formation of the group naturally adjusted. Jia Shuren and Sister Bear fell slightly behind, allowing Zhou Tong to take the lead. Chen Tao stayed back while Meng Zhigui moved a bit closer. Thus, Lian Yun was protected in the center by five people, forming a shape reminiscent of an arrowhead.
Although Lian Yun felt somewhat helpless about this arrangement—believing that if danger arose, he should be the one protecting everyone—he did not stop Zhou Tong's team from acting this way.

In the evening, once Lian Yun had absorbed enough energy, Zhou Tong took him out to continue exploring Fengdu Night.
However, regarding certain situations and scenes, he refrained from explaining or analyzing them for Lian Yun, as if he wanted Lian Yun to grasp them on his own.
