The next morning, as dawn broke, the team gathered once more, preparing to enter the cave. The fatigue from the previous night still lingered, and everyone moved with a slight heaviness as they organized their gear. Some of the simple tents had been taken down, but a few supplies and equipment remained in place as backups for their return. Raymond meticulously checked every detail before selecting two or three mercenaries to stay at the camp for support and guard duty. The mercenaries wore expressions of tension, yet they carried out their orders steadily, weapons at the ready. 0

Raja stood at the entrance of the cave, a deep and ancient opening that seemed to swallow the surrounding light, making it appear like an endless abyss. He whispered something under his breath again, his tone filled with awe and caution, as if praying to some unseen force. 0

Finishing his prayer, he turned to look at Isabella and the other team members, his face serious and solemn. Raja nodded and then spoke in a low voice, "The path inside the cave is fraught with danger; you must be careful. I will return in two days to bring you back to the tribe." 0

Isabella nodded silently, understanding that this journey into the cave would be filled with unknowns and dangers, but she hesitated not at all. She knew this was a crucial step in the Light Activation Project, and no matter the cost, they had to move forward. 0

However, what surprised everyone was Kumos's unusual energy at that moment. He had shed the fatigue of the past two days and was filled with excitement and anticipation. Kumos stood at the front of the group, his gaze fixed intently on the dark cave entrance as if it held secrets he could not wait to uncover. 0

"This is the moment we've dreamed of," Kumos murmured to himself, his eyes sparkling with an indescribable light. "All the answers are down there, in the depths of darkness..." 0

His strange behavior caught Jonas's attention. Jonas observed Kumos quietly, feeling a twinge of unease. Kumos's sudden change was too abrupt; this unusual excitement was starkly different from his usual demeanor. Last night he had been engulfed in an unexplainable fatigue and doubt, but now he seemed brimming with boundless energy and enthusiasm, as if the darkness of the cave was not terrifying but rather an alluring unknown waiting to be explored. 0

"Kumos, are you ready?" Jonas asked softly, cautiously studying him. 0

Kumos turned to Jonas with a peculiar smile on his face and replied, "Of course! I've been waiting for this moment for a long time." 0

Jonas frowned slightly but ultimately chose not to press further. He knew there was no time to question Kumos's sudden change; their current mission was far more important. Regardless of anything else, he had to ensure that the entire team could safely enter the cave and return. 0

As final preparations were completed, under Raja's watchful eye, the team began moving toward the cave entrance. The darkness at the mouth of the cave loomed like a massive maw, silently awaiting their arrival. Each person's footsteps were heavy yet steady, filled with a mix of unknown fear and anticipation. 0

The team delved deeper into the cave, entering this ancient and mysterious darkness. The entrance quickly swallowed them up; external light faded away until only their portable lighting equipment emitted a faint glow to illuminate their path forward. 0

The air inside the cave was unusually damp, and with every step, they could feel the ground beneath their feet was slick and difficult to navigate, as if it had been soaked for years. Each person moved cautiously, trying to avoid slipping. As they ventured deeper, drops of a viscous liquid occasionally fell from above, cold to the touch and oddly slippery. These droplets landed on their shoulders or cheeks, inducing a wave of nausea, suggesting that this liquid was not merely water but mixed with some unknown substance. 0

The interior of the cave was unexpectedly deep, and the space was much more spacious than they had anticipated. Unlike those narrow natural tunnels that felt oppressive, this cave appeared remarkably open. The passageway stood about twice the height of a person and was at least two meters wide, allowing them to walk relatively easily, even side by side. This unexpected spaciousness took them by surprise, as if this cave had not formed naturally but had been deliberately sculpted by some force. 0

Jonas walked at the front of the group, his light illuminating the path ahead, though that beam seemed insignificant in the depths of the cave, as if swallowed by endless darkness. He carefully observed his surroundings; the cave walls were covered in thick moss, and irregular cracks occasionally revealed themselves, seemingly hiding unknown secrets. 0

A musty odor permeated the damp air, mingling with an indescribable scent of decay. This smell was unsettling, as if the cave had been silent for thousands of years, burying countless unknown secrets. Each person felt an inexplicable pressure stemming from their fear of the unknown and some mysterious force hidden within this ancient cavern. 0

Isabella followed closely behind Jonas, scrutinizing the structure of the cave. The spaciousness made her feel a twinge of confusion; its formation was entirely different from her past experiences. She pondered whether this meant there were traces of human intervention behind this cave or perhaps remnants of an ancient civilization. 0

Leading the way was Mocus, his eyes still gleaming with an unusual light. His steps were brisk, almost impatient as he pressed forward, as if drawn deeper into the cave. He seemed unconcerned with the caution of his companions; his attention was wholly captivated by the darkness within the cave, where something appeared to be waiting for him. 0

As the group continued deeper into the cave, the damp atmosphere grew heavier, creating a sense of oppression. The dripping water above persisted intermittently; each drop felt like an ominous omen warning them of the dangers and uncertainties lurking within this cavern. Their footsteps echoed through the cave, starkly contrasting with the surrounding silence, as if this place had been asleep for countless centuries and was only now awakened by their presence. 0
