As Chen Hao watched Feng Tianlong turn and charge towards Li Ming, a tightness gripped his heart. He knew this was a critical moment; he had to stop Feng Tianlong. Without hesitation, he raised his rifle and aimed for the back of Feng Tianlong's head, striking down with all his might.
With a resounding thud, the butt of the rifle connected heavily with Feng Tianlong's skull, producing a dull sound. The momentum of Feng Tianlong's advance towards Li Ming halted abruptly, his body shuddering slightly.
Feng Tianlong slowly turned around, a glint of menace flashing in his eyes as he fixed a fierce glare on Chen Hao. "How dare you..."
"Fuck you! Bastard!" Chen Hao shouted, his eyes filled with rage and determination. He lifted his rifle again and unleashed the entire magazine at Feng Tianlong's face.
The bullets rained down like a storm, striking Feng Tianlong's face with a series of crisp impacts. He did not flinch or evade; he allowed the bullets to hit him, leaving only faint marks on his skin before bouncing off as if they had struck steel.
"Is this your counterattack?" Feng Tianlong sneered, contempt and cruelty flickering in his gaze. His face bore no scars; the bullets posed no real threat to him.
"You bastard!" Chen Hao yelled furiously, swinging the rifle butt once more to smash it against Feng Tianlong's head. Again, Feng Tianlong did not dodge; he let the rifle strike him. The impact produced a dull thud against his skull, but he merely smiled slightly, a cruel glint in his eyes.
"You've got some strength, but to me, it's like a mere tickle," Feng Tianlong said disdainfully as his hand shot out like lightning, gripping Chen Hao's rifle tightly.
"Ah!" Chen Hao gasped in surprise, trying to break free, but Feng Tianlong's grip was too powerful—his hand clamped down like an iron vice, rendering Chen Hao immobile.
"Let me show you what true power is!" Feng Tianlong mocked coldly as he suddenly yanked Chen Hao and the rifle aside. Chen Hao crashed heavily to the ground, blood spitting from his mouth as he felt as if all his bones were about to shatter.
"This bastard..." Chen Hao gritted his teeth, enduring the pain as he attempted to rise again, but Feng Tianlong was already advancing towards him.
"I'll make sure you die quickly," Feng Tianlong said coldly as he delivered a brutal kick towards Chen Hao, the force so strong that Chen Hao couldn't react in time.
"Ah!" Chen Hao was sent flying, crashing into the wall like a cannonball. The wall crumbled upon impact, dust swirling around him. Pain coursed through his body as he realized his insides had been severely jolted.
Feng Tianlong strode forward, dark Spiritual Energy swirling around him; each step radiated an overwhelming pressure as if he were an invincible demon god.
Laughing maniacally, he raised his massive axe once more, preparing to deliver a fatal blow.
"Chen Hao, be careful!" Chen Yao shouted loudly, her eyes filled with urgency and concern.
Chen Hao slumped against the wall, his face covered in blood, the gun he had been holding now weakly tossed aside. He took a deep breath, enduring the pain coursing through his body, and pulled out a small knife from his chest. He knew this was his last chance, his final gamble.
His vision was somewhat blurred, but he remained focused on Feng Tianlong. The opponent swung a massive axe with great force, aiming for Chen Hao's head, ready to deliver a fatal blow. In that critical moment, time seemed to slow down as Chen Hao concentrated all his strength, twisting his body to evade the deadly strike just in time.
"This is my opportunity!" A surge of hope filled Chen Hao's heart; he knew he had only this one chance. His heartbeat quickened, and the adrenaline temporarily dulled his pain. He gathered all his strength in his hand, gripping the knife tightly, and lunged it toward Feng Tianlong's abdomen.
The knife glinted ominously as it pierced toward Feng Tianlong. Chen Hao felt a rush of hope, as if he could already see the dawn of victory. A determined glint flashed in his eyes as he pressed down harder, putting all his weight behind the small blade.
However, when the knife made contact with Feng Tianlong's belly, he heard a despairing crack.
"Snap!"
Chen Hao felt the blade shatter against Feng Tianlong's abdomen as if it had struck steel. The front half of the knife broke upon hitting Feng Tianlong's skin, leaving only the handle in Chen Hao's grasp.
"This... how is this possible..." Chen Hao murmured to himself, disbelief and despair flickering in his gaze. He was overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness, as if the entire world had collapsed around him. He realized he had no strength left to resist.
Feng Tianlong glanced down at the broken knife with a look of disdain and mockery in his eyes. "Did you really think such a trick could hurt me?"
Despair filled Chen Hao; he understood he had reached his limit. Feng Tianlong sneered as he raised the massive axe, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Chen Hao. A cruel light flickered in his eyes as if he reveled in this brutal game.
"You bastard!" Chen Hao shouted angrily, trying to rise again, but the pain immobilized him. His eyes widened as he stared fiercely at Feng Tianlong, filled with unwillingness and rage.
Chen Yao stood nearby, her heart racing with anxiety and fear as she saw Feng Tianlong closing in on Chen Hao. She knew she had to act immediately; otherwise, Chen Hao would face an irreversible fate.
"I can't let him succeed!" Chen Yao shouted internally as she suddenly surged forward with all her might. At the same time, she gripped her dagger tightly; Spiritual Energy erupted from her hands as blades of wind shot forth toward Feng Tianlong.
"Stop!" Chen Yao yelled loudly as the wind blades sped toward Feng Tianlong, but he remained unfazed. With a cold laugh, dark Spiritual Energy quickly coalesced around him, forming an impenetrable barrier that deflected all the wind blades away.
Seeing that her wind blades couldn't penetrate Feng Tianlong's defense only heightened Chen Yao's urgency; yet she maintained her speed, determined to save Chen Hao at the last moment.
However, it was too late. Feng Tianlong's massive hand gripped Chen Hao's head like an iron claw. A glimmer of cruelty and mockery flashed in his eyes as he forcefully slammed Chen Hao's head into the wall.
"Ah—!" Chen Hao let out a painful scream as the impact echoed through the air, the wall crumbling instantly, dust flying everywhere. His body trembled from the violent force, his eyes tightly shut in agony, blood streaming down from his forehead, staining his face.
Feng Tianlong's laughter reverberated in the air; he reveled in it all, a cruel light flickering in his eyes. "You ants are truly laughable."
Chen Hao's consciousness began to blur, but he still tried to struggle, weakly raising his hands to grasp Feng Tianlong's arm. A flash of unwillingness and anger crossed his eyes; he knew he could no longer fight, but he refused to give up.
"You bastard... I won't let you succeed!" Chen Hao gritted his teeth, forcing out those words with difficulty, his voice filled with despair and rage.
Feng Tianlong sneered, raising his massive axe high, its cold gleam flashing. He looked at Chen Hao with contempt and cruelty. "Today, you will meet your companions."
The giant axe sliced through the air with a chilling light before coming down with force. A final glimmer of determination flickered in Chen Hao's eyes; he knew he could not escape, but he hoped that Li Ming and Chen Yao would complete their mission and protect the city.
"No—!" Chen Yao cried out in despair, her gaze filled with tears and pain. She rushed forward towards Feng Tianlong, desperately seeking revenge.
"You beast!" Chen Yao shouted, her dagger shimmering with Spiritual Energy as she thrust it fiercely toward Feng Tianlong's chest.
Feng Tianlong let out a cold laugh, effortlessly swatting aside Chen Yao's attack. His strength was as overwhelming as a landslide; Chen Yao could not budge him even slightly.
"You ants are truly laughable," Feng Tianlong said coldly, a hint of disdain and cruelty flashing in his gaze. "Today, you all shall die!"
