Ma Hao's Mother insisted on giving me money. After I refused several times, she finally agreed. 0

"But, Teacher Lin, are you really not planning to terminate the pregnancy?" Ma Hao's Mother hesitated to ask. 0

"You heard me before; I will not terminate my child," I said firmly. 0

Ma Hao's Mother sighed, "Alright." With that, she left. 0

That evening, Ma Hao's Dad came to see me. He brought a lot of supplements with him. 0

"Teacher Lin, I'm sorry my wife has caused you trouble," Ma Hao's Dad sighed. "Rest assured, I've talked to her; she won't bother you again." 0

"Mr. Ma, thank you for your understanding," I nodded. "If there's nothing else, you can head back now." 0

However, Ma Hao's Dad showed no intention of leaving. He pulled up a chair and sat down beside my bed. 0

"Teacher Lin, actually I've wanted to meet you for a long time," he said. "I was always busy with work before and didn't have the time; now seems like a good opportunity." 0

I frowned as he continued speaking as if he hadn't noticed my discomfort. 0

"My marriage with Ma Hao's mother was a business arrangement..." 0

"I actually don't love her that much," he said. "A long time ago, there was a woman I really liked, but she left me for some reason. So after I married Ma Hao's Mother, we weren't very affectionate." 0

"Later, I found out that Ma Hao's Mother was pregnant with my child, and that's how Ma Hao came to be." 0

"After Ma Hao was born, I kept wondering whether I should keep this child. If I kept him, the woman I liked before would never come back. But if I didn't keep him, I just couldn't bear to let him go..." 0

"Stop!" I couldn't help but interrupt him. "Mr. Ma, this is your family matter; it has nothing to do with me. Talking to me about this is actually pointless." 0

Ma Hao's Dad smiled lightly. "You'll understand in the future." 0

"What do you mean?" I looked at him in confusion. 0

Ma Hao's Dad stood up and looked down at me. "Teacher Lin, I'll make it worth your while." 0

With that cryptic statement, he left. 0

"He said he would make it worth my while?" When Gao Xiang returned, I told him about the incident. 0

Gao Xiang frowned. "What kind of benefit is that?" 0

I shook my head. 0

Gao Xiang sighed. "Actually, Ma Hao is quite pitiful too." 0

"It seems he is a rich second generation, having everything he wants, but what is the reality?" 0
"He has become a tool for his parents to benchmark against Ex-Wife." 0
"However, in the midst of misfortune, there is a silver lining; he hasn't inherited his parents' madness, which is a good thing." 0
I nodded. 0
A few days later, I was discharged from the hospital and returned home. 0
But as soon as I got home, I received a call from the principal. 0
"Teacher Lin, it's best if you don't come to school for now." 0
I was taken aback. "Why?" 0
"Your situation has spread around the school." The principal sighed. "You should lay low at home for a while." 0
"My situation?" I asked in confusion. "What situation?" 0
"Haven't you seen the forum?" 0
I opened my computer and clicked on the link the principal had sent me. 0
It was a post titled "Let's Expose That Mistress Who Seduced Someone Else's Husband." 0
The content detailed how I had seduced Ma Hao's Dad, complete with photos of him talking to me in the hospital. 0
The post was written with such heartfelt emotion that it made my heart ache. 0
"Teacher Lin, I know you're not that kind of person," the principal said. "But this post has gone viral. You should stay away for now and come back once this blows over." 0
