Jiang Yuandong didn't expect Chen Jing to discover that his expression darkened after being exposed. "Chen Jing, I have never said that I like you."
Chen Jing sneered, "I thought you should at least feel a little sorry for me."
He suddenly regretted coming out with Jiang Yuandong today, at least he wouldn't have discovered that his sincerity over the years had been trampled on by others.
Chen Jing felt that there was nothing more to talk about, stood up and said, "You saved me, and I've been following you for so long, so let's call it even. Don't worry, I won't bother you anymore. Whoever you like or pursue has nothing to do with me."
He lifted his foot and left, just in time to see Zheng Yu walking towards him. Without stopping, he said, "Let's go." Zheng Yu hurriedly followed.
He didn't wait for Chen Yue, sent a message to Chen Yue, saying he was leaving first, and asked him to go home by himself, then turned off his phone.
Chen Jing didn't go home, just walked aimlessly, turning at intersections, with Zheng Yu quietly following two steps behind him.
Chen Jing didn't know how long he had been walking, or how far he had gone, until his feet ached and he finally stopped.
The street lights were already on, and the fountain in the square had started spraying water. He found a flower bed to sit by, and Zheng Yu also stopped a couple of steps away from him.
Chen Jing looked at his hesitant expression and asked directly, "What do you want to ask? I'll tell you everything." After a pause, she added, "This is your only chance."
Ask whatever you want to ask, and I'll answer just this once.
Zheng Yu took two steps towards him, finally bridging the distance of two people for a day.
He squatted in front of Chen Jing and looked into his eyes, asking, "You know I'm not afraid of the sun, so why do you still bring an umbrella when you go out?"
Chen Jing was stunned for a moment, then took a surprised breath.
Zheng Yu pursed her lips and said, "Didn't you say you would answer anything?"
"I didn't expect you to ask me this."
He thought Zheng Yu would ask him what he and Jiang Yuandong talked about, or how the two of them met, or why he likes Jiang Yuandong.
"He even had the answer prepared in his heart.
"Not answering?" Zheng Yu thought for a moment and said, "Then I'll ask a different question. After walking for so long, aren't your legs sore?"
Is he comforting himself?
Chen Jing suddenly laughed from the bottom of his heart, "Sour, I'm so tired, I can't take another step."
You see, isn't this terrible? Isn't there someone to accompany you?
Zheng Yu stood up and walked to Chen Jing, "Ah, what a pity. If you had met me, I would have carried you back today."
"Can you carry it?"
"Do you look down on me, young master?"
Chen Jing raised an eyebrow, "Then I have to thank you."
"This young master doesn't need your thanks," Zheng Yu snorted, not saying it out loud, but feeling quite pleased inside.
" Zheng Yu, can you help me with something?" Chen Jing asked, touching the scar on his hand.
"Of course," Zheng Yu said without hesitation.
"You don't even ask what help I need? Aren't you afraid I'll trick you?" Chen Jing joked.
Zheng Yu turned to look into his eyes and said seriously, "I'll help with anything, even if it means you'll trick me."
The fountain next to it instantly sprayed out, refracting colorful light and shadow under the illumination of the lights.
Zheng Yu's gaze was firm and serious, as if making a sincere promise.
At this moment, Chen Jing felt as if her heart had stopped beating. She didn't know when the seed had been secretly planted, quietly sprouting and breaking through the soil.
