As Laya's thoughts raced, the situation outside spiraled out of control.
The guards fired their laser guns frantically, but it was all in vain.
With a powerful thrust of its eight legs, the White Spider sliced the man's laser gun in half. In an instant, his hand was left mangled and bloody, and he let out a scream as he collapsed to the ground.
Seeing him so weak, the White Spider seemed to lose interest and turned to spray venom into the manor's interior.

First, she needed to stop Liendel from rampaging further.
Laya closed her eyes, her expression heavy. She had a way to handle the situation, but it was one she truly did not want to use.
Finally, she took a deep breath and, using the Mental Link, issued a command to the Queen: "Liendel, calm down and follow me."
The forced command triggered Liendel once more, the crimson hue in his eyes intensifying.
"Queen, how dare she..."
This time, he had to... In the next moment, the White Spider froze, its blood-red eyes fixated on the seemingly fragile yet audacious Laya. She had actually wrapped her arms around his most dangerous forelimb, exposing herself to the White Spider's potential wrath.
Then, a deep voice resonated.
"I'm sorry for making you go through something you despise."
In truth, she had known from their first meeting that Liendel loathed her Mental Link. At first, Laya felt a bit disheartened, but she understood his reaction was only natural.
The Brain Region was the most private part of a living being, yet it was easily invaded by outsiders who could even touch the core of its spiritual essence. Anyone would feel threatened in such a situation.
So she silently resolved never to link their spiritual essences again, but today she had done just that. Liendel must be feeling terrible right now.
She could sense the pain and despair within his Psychic Power, and part of that hurt was caused by her.
The Mental Link was bidirectional; Liendel could also feel Laya's inner turmoil.
The enormous White Spider had completely frozen, and with Laya's gentle Psychic Power continuously healing it, it was gradually regaining the sanity of Liendel. He could clearly feel the constant apologies and worries being transmitted through the Mental Link.

Once Laya fully calmed Liendel's Psychic Power, he immediately transformed back into his original form and knelt gracefully on one knee.
"Zerg Main Fleet Tempest Legion's commander Liendel, here to pay my respects to the Queen."
Laya blinked in surprise, momentarily stunned. What had just happened? Although Liendel and Aivino had previously referred to her as Queen, there hadn’t been much respect in their tone. But now it was clearly different; he had suddenly become so serious.
Liendel knew this wasn’t the right place for such a conversation and understood that his sudden change in attitude might seem strange to the Queen. Yet he couldn’t hold back any longer; he was eager to apologize to her and pledge his loyalty.
"Queen, I am truly sorry. I previously judged you with my narrow-minded thinking and nearly harmed you several times; I deserve the gravest punishment."
Liendel abruptly lifted his head, his golden eyes shining even brighter, burning with a reckless fervor. "From now on, I will protect you well, Queen, becoming your most loyal subordinate. Your will is my will; the direction you move in is my direction."
