I never expected that after all the hard work, I would discover that Cai Wenwu's cousin was this crazy woman. Bai Zhuo felt a sense of dissatisfaction; had he known, he wouldn't have exerted himself so much.
"Wu, how do you know this con artist, and why did you give him your gun?" Cao Yu asked coldly, living up to her reputation as Cao Lengleng, capable of freezing anyone with her words.
Cai Wenwu clearly didn't know how to respond to his cousin. "Sister, he... he's my good friend. Let's talk about this outside; it's too dangerous here."
"We can't get out," Cao Yu replied.
"What happened?"
The injured Wang Bin explained, "The tremors from earlier were too strong; the entrance is blocked, and we can't meet up with Yu Jie and the others."
"Damn it! If I catch that Liu guy, I'll make sure he pays!" Cai Wenwu smashed a nearby vessel in frustration and cursed, "That old bastard used the traps in the tomb not only to steal my gun but also blew me up with my own grenade!"
Everyone fell silent for a moment, realizing that the tremors in the ancient tomb were caused by the grenade. Bai Zhuo touched the grenade on his tactical vest; it seemed that dealing with that Five Element Ba required avoiding heavy weapons and explosives.
"What do we do now?" Kagura Keiha asked Bai Zhuo.
For some reason, Bai Zhuo seemed to have become the focal point for everyone; even Major Cai Wenwu looked at him. Bai Zhuo shrugged, "What are you looking at me for? We can only wait for rescue..." Just then, an unusual sound came from the entrance of the cave. Bai Zhuo was startled and quickly raised his Thunderwood Sword, cursing, "Damn it, just when you think you're safe!"
Everyone turned to look at the entrance connecting to the cave, where a figure slowly approached—it was the terrifying Five Element Ba!
Kagura Keiha frowned. "It's this thing... My Corpse Servant was eaten by it while trying to save me." Cao Yu, having witnessed the monster's terrifying nature, instinctively hid behind Bai Zhuo.
"Intruders of the Royal Tomb shall die!" The Five Element Ba spoke human words, its deafening roar echoing throughout the hall.
"Royal Tomb?" Tomb Raider Wang Tao was taken aback. "Whose emperor's tomb is this grand? Even the Qin Emperor's Tomb isn't this impressive!"
"It's here!" Kagura Keiha shouted as he threw out his most familiar Thunder Emperor Talisman. "Illumination Technique - Exorcism Arrow! Thunder God Summons!"
Crackling Lightning enveloped the Yellow Talisman as it shot straight towards the Five Element Ba. After not seeing him for several days, Bai Zhuo was astonished to find that Kagura Keiha's strength had increased so much. With a look of surprise, Bai Zhuo teamed up with Kagura Keiha and launched the Soul-Restraining Talismans in their hands. However, before the two talismans could even come within five meters of Bai Jiang, they were inexplicably ignited, the talisman paper turning to ash and dissipating into the air.
"How is this possible!"
"Fire!" Black Tiger shouted without hesitation as he raised his large sniper rifle and fired at the Five Element Ba. The gunshot echoed like thunder, lingering in the hall long after it was fired, leaving only a buzzing sound in Bai Zhuo's ears.
Firing such a large sniper rifle at close range, even the Five Element Ba could not withstand its impact. The bullet, trailing a long flame, struck Bai Jiang right between the eyes! Bai Jiang was sent flying ten meters away, crashing hard against the wall and kicking up clouds of dust that obscured everyone's view.
"We did it!" Black Tiger exclaimed joyfully, but Bai Zhuo immediately shoved him aside. Black Tiger fell to the ground, and in his terrified gaze, a basketball-sized fireball struck Bai Zhuo in the waist, sending him hurtling away!
"Brother Bai!" "Bai Zhuo!"
Bai Zhuo fell to the ground motionless after being hit by the fireball. Although Cao Yu disliked Bai Zhuo, witnessing his selfless act stirred something within him. Cai Wenwu rushed over to help Bai Zhuo up and saw blood trickling from his mouth, his face pale; it looked like he was in dire straits.
"Brother Bai, you can't die! This is something I asked you to do today; if you die, how am I supposed to explain this to Uncle Hu?"
Just when everyone thought Bai Zhuo was on the brink of death, he suddenly coughed a few times and regained consciousness. He cursed as he pulled out a pouch of incense from his jacket pocket. "I didn't expect this pouch to have protective properties; damn it! If it weren't for Qi giving me this thing, I would have been done for today." The pouch had blocked one of Bai Jiang's heavy strikes, dissipating into starlight like that piece of jade given to him by the female ghost.
Kagura Keiha let out a sigh of relief; he knew that if Bai Zhuo were to perish, he and the remaining "ordinary people" would definitely fall victim to the Five Element Corpse's grasp. "It's coming!"
Clearly, the bullet from the sniper rifle hitting Five Element Corpse did not pose any threat; instead, it only made Five Element Corpse angrier.
"You have violated royal law; your entire clan shall be punished!" Five Element Ba roared. Facing Five Element Ba, even if there were two more Bai Zhuos, it would be futile. Out of nowhere, Five Element Ba conjured a massive flaming cleaver and charged towards Bai Zhuo and the others. In an instant, it was right before them; they were in grave danger.
"There's no need for many tricks; South Needle must be sharpened! Do not question the teachings of Three-Seven; subdue all demons! Urgent Command!" A slender blood-red Ink Fighting Thread shot towards Five Element Ba at incredible speed, instantly binding Five Element Corpse.
As soon as the blood-red Ink Fighting Thread made contact with Five Element Ba, it crackled like firecrackers and emitted blinding sparks of electricity while filling the air with a nauseating burnt smell.
Five Element Ba let out a series of wails!
"Master... Zheng Ming! What are you doing here?" Bai Zhuo exclaimed in surprise as he spotted him not far away. He never expected to encounter him in this ancient tomb.
Zheng Ming, with a massive coffin strapped to his back, wore a serious expression and ignored Bai Zhuo. He tightened his grip, causing the Inkstone in his hands to spin and release numerous red Ink Fighting Threads that ensnared the Five Element Ba tightly.
The threads twisted around more and more, quickly wrapping the Five Element Ba into a true "Blood Zongzi."
The scene fell into silence. Everyone stared nervously at the "Blood Zongzi." One minute passed, then two, with no movement. Zheng Ming furrowed his brow, wondering if it could be this simple.
"Heart!" Bai Zhuo shouted angrily, prompting everyone to retreat several steps and hide. Sure enough, the "Blood Zongzi" suddenly expanded; the Ink Fighting Threads could no longer restrain it and exploded, scattering sparks like bullets.
The Five Element Ba was thoroughly enraged by the ants before it, conjuring a flaming bow out of thin air and roaring, "I am Wang Jinwei! Offend me, and I will annihilate your entire clan!"
"Damn it, whose Royal Tomb is this?!" Bai Zhuo cursed again from behind a rock.
Zheng Ming sneered, "You dare to explore a tomb without even knowing whose ancestor's grave it is?"
"And what about you? Do you know?" Bai Zhuo retorted.
Zheng Ming threw out two talismans, causing the Five Element Ba's movements to falter slightly. Only then did he set down the coffin on his back. "Hah... Provocation won't work on me. But out of kindness, I'll tell you—this is the Tomb of King Wu Zhao!"
