"The mystery of the mirror has been solved, but how did you know that Qian Lin and Zhao Jing were disguised as ghosts?" Wang Chao asked again.
"Actually, you just need to simulate the behavior of Lin Mei Mei and Zhao Jing when they were in the bathroom to understand," Jiang Liu replied. "If I needed you to accompany me while I used the restroom, what would you do?"
"Of course, I would turn around. I'm not a pervert; why would I want to watch someone else in the bathroom, especially someone of the same sex?" Wang Chao answered without hesitation.
"I think at that moment, Lin Mei Mei and Zhao Jing acted just like you said. When Zhao Jing was in the bathroom, Lin Mei Mei turned away. From what I know, Lin Mei Mei is inherently wary of others, so while she turned away, she would subconsciously look for something to keep an eye on Zhao Jing's every move. At that time, the mirror in the restroom was undoubtedly a great surveillance tool. I suspect that Lin Mei Mei saw Zhao Jing's true form in the mirror. Wang Chao trusted Jiang Liu's deduction completely. From their first encounter, he had this impression of him. Before Wang Chao could complete his sentence, a scream from Lin Mei Mei came through the phone, sounding as if she had been startled by something. Wang Chao's eyes instantly turned red as he shouted into the phone, "Lin Mei Mei, what happened to you?"
After calling out for a while, there was still no response from Lin Mei Mei on the other end. Wang Chao yelled into the phone, "We're coming right over! You have to hold on!" and started running towards the stairs.
At that moment, Jiang Liu grabbed the nearly frantic Wang Chao and pointed to the suddenly opening elevator doors. "Take the elevator!"
Wang Chao didn’t have time to question why Jiang Liu had suggested taking the stairs earlier; saving Lin Mei Mei was more important. He rushed into the elevator and pressed the button for her floor.
