The appearance of the exit was the best news for the Six People so far. As they made their way back, they couldn't help but wonder what would happen if the exit disappeared again. 0

Now that the exit had appeared, the tense expressions on their faces began to soften into smiles. Lin Dahai even caught a whiff of food drifting from the fourth floor, urging the others to hurry along. 0

Watching the people ahead enter the hallway, Jiang Liu suddenly asked, "Why didn't you eat any of that food when we were on the fourth floor?" 0

Wang Ke's expression momentarily froze, but he quickly regained his composure. "I smelled something familiar." 0

Familiar smell? 0

Jiang Liu wanted to ask more, but Wang Ke strode toward the stairway, leaving Jiang Liu with no choice but to follow. 0

Returning to the fourth floor, the familiar hall reappeared before the Six People. Seeing the distant dining table, Lin Dahai felt a surge of excitement; his stomach had begun to protest after all their experiences, emitting hungry growls. 0

He decided he would feast heartily so he could have enough strength to face whatever might come next. Without a second thought, he abandoned the others and started running toward the dining table. 0

However, just as he was about to reach it, he halted his hefty form, unable to accept what lay before him. 0

All the meat that had been laid out on the table was now completely gone. The massive table was left with only a few sets of cutlery, as if someone had cleared away the food after they had left. 0

But who could have taken it away? 0

Lin Dahai wasn't alone in his shock. When Xu Meng, Sun Ting, and Xu Hai reached Lin Dahai's side and saw the scene, they all froze in place, unable to comprehend why all the food had vanished. 0

Wang Ke and Jiang Liu approached as well. Upon seeing what was on the table, Wang Ke looked momentarily stunned but quickly seemed to sense something was off; his brow furrowed in concern. 0

"Where... where did the food go?" Lin Dahai turned around and asked Wang Ke with a terrified expression. 0

"Could it be that someone else did this?" Xu Hai suggested. 0

"Someone else?" Lin Dahai stared wide-eyed at Xu Hai. "Come on, besides us, who else is here?" 0

"How is that impossible? You all came in after us; why couldn't there be others who came in after we left?" Xu Hai countered. 0

Lin Dahai was momentarily speechless, unsure of how to respond. After all, Xu Hai was speaking the truth; they had indeed arrived after Xu Hai and his group. So why couldn't there be others who came in after they left? 0

"Then where are the people? Why haven't we seen anyone since we arrived here?" Lin Dahai retorted. 0

"Alright, both of you don't have any proof to back yourselves up, so let's stop this," Xu Meng interrupted, turning to Wang Ke. "What do you think is going on?" 0

Wang Ke stared at the utensils on the dining table. "We might have come to the wrong place; this may not be the fourth floor we visited before." 0

"How is that possible? We've only seen this one exit; how could this not be the fourth floor we were at before?" Xu Meng exclaimed in shock. 0

Lin Dahai and Xu Hai also looked at Wang Ke in disbelief. 0

Wang Ke seemed lost in thought as he slowly pulled out the dining knife he had taken during the dissection of the mannequin. Upon seeing him take out the knife, Xu Hai and Sun Ting tensed up, recalling their earlier experience. They cautiously moved closer to the dining table. 0

Wang Ke ignored their movements and focused on the knife. "When we left before, I took a knife from the table. I remember clearly how many utensils were there and their arrangement, but now, there isn't a single utensil missing from the table." 0

"Could it be that someone reset the utensils?" Xu Meng speculated. 0

"That shouldn't be possible. Even if the quantity is the same, the arrangement of the utensils could never be identical," Wang Ke replied confidently. 0

Jiang Liu looked at the knife in Wang Ke's hand and then at the props on the table, puzzled about what was happening. Could it really be as Wang Ke suggested—that they had arrived at a different fourth floor? And what about that familiar scent he had noticed earlier? 0

The atmosphere fell into silence. Sun Ting observed Wang Ke deep in thought and said, "I think it's a bit too hasty to conclude that we've come to the wrong place based solely on this." 0

"Exactly. Relying solely on this would be too arbitrary," Xu Hai agreed with Sun Ting's perspective. Given the current situation, he felt that Sun Ting was likely his only ally in this team, so he would support whatever she said. 0

"You both make valid points; we can't just rely on this to say we've come to the wrong place," Wang Ke conceded without arguing against Sun Ting's view. He surveyed their surroundings. "In any case, we're not going to the fifth floor anymore; let's see if we can find any clues here." 0

Upon hearing Wang Ke's suggestion, no one objected; perhaps they all wanted to know if they had indeed come to the wrong place. 0

Due to Ma Chao's death, there hadn't been much change in team assignments; only Jiang Liu reluctantly teamed up with Wang Ke. The three teams began searching in different directions. 0

As he watched the other two teams head off in different directions, Jiang Liu quietly asked Wang Ke, "Why split everyone up?" 0

"Your observation is sharp," Wang Ke replied, glancing at the backs of the two teams. "I don't trust them." 0

"Don't trust them?" Hearing Wang Ke's explanation, Jiang Liu chuckled bitterly. "I suppose I should consider myself among those you don't trust." 0

Wang Ke lowered his head to look into Jiang Liu's eyes and said, "You're right; you are no longer one of the people we trust. However, compared to them, you seem to be the most normal one." 0

Jiang Liu was puzzled by Wang Ke's statement and didn't respond, waiting for further explanation. 0

"Don't understand?" Wang Ke smiled. "In unfamiliar environments, people tend to trust those they are familiar with. That's why Lin Dahai and Xu Meng chose to trust me, someone they know. But that doesn't mean I trust them. On the contrary, I had my doubts about their identities from the very beginning." 0

"Doubts about what?" Jiang Liu asked. 0

"Don't you think it's too coincidental that so many people are involved in this incident? I, Xu Meng, and Lin Dahai know each other; Ma Chao, Sun Ting, and Xu Hai know each other. Two teams that were originally evenly matched, yet you appeared in this team. That seems a bit unreasonable." 0

"So you abandoned the two people who have always supported you and chose me, someone who seems out of place?" Jiang Liu mocked. 0

"In supernatural events, nothing is absolute. I never trusted them from the start, and I suspect they never trusted me either. So your term 'abandon' doesn't apply to me." 0

Wang Ke clearly didn't care about the sarcasm in Jiang Liu's words and continued, "Moreover, there's something I've never shared with anyone else." 0

"What is it?" 0

"When I woke up, I received a call from myself." 0
