Upon reaching the third floor of the hospital, the maze-like corridors finally disappeared, and rooms began to appear on both sides, looking more like a hospital than the second floor. 0

Seeing the environment return to normal, the four of them breathed a sigh of relief. Wang Ke glanced at the half-open doors of several patient rooms. "Everyone, stay close. Let's search each room one by one to see if we can find any clues." 0

Now that Wang Ke had taken charge of the group, even though Jiang Liu was reluctant, he had no choice but to follow them into the room. 0

The layout inside was reminiscent of a patient room; aside from a solitary iron bed, there was nothing else. After searching several rooms without any discoveries, they moved on. 0

As they reached the fourth patient room, a piercing scream suddenly echoed from outside. The voice was filled with terror and despair. 0

Jiang Liu couldn't understand why he could detect so much emotion from just one scream. Before he could react, he saw Wang Ke, closest to the door, sprinting out. The others, slightly slower to react, quickly followed Wang Ke's lead toward the source of the scream. 0

The scream rang out only once and then fell silent. Normally, in such a bustling corridor, it would be nearly impossible for anyone to pinpoint where the sound came from. Yet Wang Ke seemed to know exactly where it originated. He turned down several corridors before finally stopping in front of a dimly lit passageway. 0

Jiang Liu and the others caught up with him. Lin Dahai approached Wang Ke and asked anxiously, "Why did you stop?" 0

Wang Ke stared down the corridor, his brow furrowed. "The sound came from here." 0

Seeing Wang Ke's confident expression made Jiang Liu want to ask how he knew that and why he was so sure. However, noticing Lin Dahai and Xu Meng's expressions, he held back his impulse. 0

"Do you know which room it came from?" Lin Dahai asked nervously as he looked down the corridor. 0

Wang Ke shook his head. "I don't know. I can only confirm that it came from this area; beyond that, I can't say." 0

"Do you think it could be those three who left early?" Xu Meng suggested. 0

"That's possible. From the sound, it seemed like a woman. So one of those three who left early might have encountered something... but," Wang Ke's tone shifted, "we've been moving quickly, and I didn't hear any other screams or footsteps while running here. That's a bit strange." 0

"Could something have happened to them that caused someone to get separated?" Xu Meng analyzed. 0

"The likelihood is low. But since we've been led here now, going back might bring unexpected dangers. It’s better to see what happened instead. Everyone stay alert and avoid getting too close to any room doors." 0

The three nodded in understanding. 0

As they walked down the dimly lit corridor, the four of them kept a wary eye on the tightly shut doors on either side, fearing that at any moment, a ghost might burst through and drag them inside. 0

"Wait a minute!" 0

Wang Ke, who was leading the group, suddenly raised his hand to signal them to stop. 0

"What is it?" Lin Dahai asked nervously. 0

"I found a bloody handprint next to one of the doors!" Wang Ke pointed toward a door ahead. 0

Jiang Liu followed Wang Ke's gesture and indeed saw a bloodstain in front of one of the doors. The handprint looked fresh, the vivid red blood appearing almost sinister. 0

The three of them exchanged glances, silently asking Wang Ke what they should do next. After contemplating the bloodstain by the door, Wang Ke quietly suggested, "Stay close to the wall." 0

The four of them pressed against the cold wall and cautiously moved forward. When they reached the door, everyone held their breath, afraid to disturb whatever terrifying spirit might be inside. 0

Strangely enough, just like when they passed by the corpse on the second floor of the hospital earlier, nothing happened. They managed to slip past the door unscathed. 0

Once they had passed that door, an odd sense of familiarity washed over Jiang Liu again, as if he had seen this scene somewhere before. 0

Lin Dahai noticed Jiang Liu standing there in a daze and opened his mouth to silently say something, but was met with a glare from Wang Ke. 0

After glaring at Lin Dahai, Wang Ke turned back and pulled Jiang Liu away from where he stood. It wasn't until they had distanced themselves from that eerie room that he whispered, "What's wrong? Why are you zoning out again?" 0

Jiang Liu looked back at the distant room. "I was wondering if I should open that door." 0

"Are you crazy? Open the door? Aren't you afraid of letting a ghost out?" Lin Dahai muttered under his breath. 0

Wang Ke gestured for Lin Dahai to calm down and turned to Jiang Liu. "Why do you have that thought?" 0

"I don't know... I just feel like there might be something at that door," Jiang Liu replied, unsure how else to explain his intuition. 0

After hearing Jiang Liu's words, Wang Ke frowned, seemingly displeased with his response. "Do you often rely on your instincts?" 0

"I have survived several incidents relying on my intuition," Jiang Liu replied. 0

"Oh! It seems you're quite confident in your instincts," Wang Ke raised an eyebrow, his tone shifting. "I don't like putting myself in danger, but I'm a gambler. As long as the odds are fifty-fifty, I'll take the bet. So now tell me, what do you think our chances of survival are once we open that door?" 0

Jiang Liu looked at Wang Ke's serious face and suddenly found this person quite intimidating. He believed that if Jiang Liu felt there was a fifty percent chance they would survive, he would definitely go back and open that room. 0

For the first time, Jiang Liu felt completely overshadowed by this guy. Gritting his teeth, he said, "You win. Let's keep moving." 0

Wang Ke seemed pleased with Jiang Liu's response, revealing a few white teeth in a smile. "Since you lost, I don't want to see you acting on your intuition from now on. We are a team now, and whatever happens, we all need to bear it together." 0

Jiang Liu nodded to show he understood and prepared to step forward, only to see Wang Ke still standing in front of him with no intention of moving aside. He looked at Wang Ke with suspicion. 0

Wang Ke met Jiang Liu's gaze. "Before we go, there's something I need to clarify with you, and also for both of them." 0

Seeing that Wang Ke had something important to say, Lin Dahai and Xu Meng immediately became serious. 0

"Earlier, I mentioned that there might have been seven people involved in this supernatural incident, which means there were three individuals who formed their own team. As it stands now, there may only be two left, and they should be not far ahead of us. So I want to make it clear to the three of you: if we encounter those two later on, I hope you'll keep your distance from them. If the situation allows, you can choose to abandon them!" 0
