Chu Ping looked at Xu Ya's expression, trying to discern any signs of deceit. However, after a while, he couldn't detect anything unusual on her face. 0

At that moment, Xu Ya also noticed that Chu Ping's expression was somewhat strange. She asked, "What I said is true; I absolutely did not lie to you." 0

Chu Ping was uncertain whether to believe Xu Ya's words. He had complete faith in Lin Yun, as they had shared life-and-death experiences together. He had no doubts about Lin Yun and didn't want to question her. But looking at Xu Ya's face, he couldn't find any trace of lying. If Xu Ya was deceiving him, then she would undoubtedly be a master liar. 0

Internally conflicted, Chu Ping pondered whether to trust Xu Ya. After a moment, he asked a question: "Alright, let's assume what you said is true. However, Lin Yun is currently missing, and I can't safely trust your words." 0

"What should we do then? I really haven't lied to you," Xu Ya replied anxiously. 0

"Don't be so worried. Since Lin Yun is already missing, the only thing we can do now is quickly find a way out and escape this library." 0

Before Chu Ping could finish his sentence, Xu Ya suddenly pulled a book from her pocket and exclaimed, "Oh right! I found your book! Is this the one?" 0

She presented the front cover of the book to Chu Ping. Upon seeing the title, which was indeed the book they needed—Escape—Chu Ping's expression turned excited as he asked Xu Ya, "How did you find this book?" 0

It was no wonder Chu Ping reacted so enthusiastically; even Lin Yun, who was hiding around the corner, nearly stepped out upon hearing that Xu Ya had found it. Fortunately, Chu Ping's figure blocked Lin Yun from view; otherwise, she might have been discovered by Xu Ya. 0

"I saw a book lying in the corridor on my way back. I went over to take a look and realized it was the one you needed," Xu Ya explained. 0

"That simple?" Chu Ping asked in surprise. 0

"Yes," Xu Ya nodded. 0

Chu Ping nearly spat out blood in frustration when he thought about how their group had lost most of its members in search of this book and how it had come down to just the two of them without finding it. Yet this elusive book had somehow been carelessly discarded in the corridor. It was no wonder that Chu Ping felt a wave of annoyance after hearing Xu Ya's words. 0

After a period of frustration, Chu Ping felt a flicker of doubt in his heart. In the past few hours, he and Lin Yun had searched every corner of the library; it was impossible for a book to be lying on the ground without either of them noticing. 0

It couldn't be that both of them were inattentive, unless Xu Ya was lying. That left only one possibility: the book titled "Escape" that Xu Ya was holding must have appeared in the corridor during this time. But why had the path they had been desperately searching for suddenly manifested in the corridor? Even more bizarre was that it had been found by Xu Ya. 0

Moreover, Lin Yun had also returned through this corridor; why hadn't Lin Yun seen this book, only for it to be discovered by Xu Ya who had joined them midway? 0

As Chu Ping's mind grew more chaotic, he decided not to dwell on the issue any longer and turned to Xu Ya. "Throw me the book; I want to see if I can find a way out." 0

This was also a test to see if Xu Ya truly had no ulterior motives. To his surprise, Xu Ya showed no hesitation and tossed the book directly to him. 0

Chu Ping received the book, somewhat incredulous that Xu Ya had so easily handed it over. Yet the heavy weight in his hands confirmed that this was all real. After a brief moment of distraction, he quickly regained his focus and glanced at the cover of the book. 0

The book titled "Escape" featured an iron door on its cover, with "000" inscribed on it. Chu Ping didn't pay much attention to that; he simply opened the pages for a quick look. However, he was taken aback to discover that every page inside was blank—there was no content whatsoever. 0

How strange! Why did this book have no content? Could it be that the clue to escaping this library wasn't within the book itself? 0

Chu Ping pondered this but didn't have time to think it through before Xu Ya's voice interrupted him again. "I've looked at the contents of the book too; it's all blank pages." 0

Chu Ping closed the book and thought for a moment. "Since there’s nothing inside, it means the clue isn’t in the text but rather in the book itself. But what do we need to do to leave here?" 0

"Could it be as simple as putting the book back on the shelf?" Xu Ya suggested suddenly. 0

Upon hearing this, Chu Ping nearly slapped himself in frustration. How could he have overlooked such a simple solution? 0

A library is a library; if they found a book there, according to library rules, they should return it to its shelf. He prided himself on being an experienced Escaper, yet he hadn't thought of something so straightforward. 0

The more he thought about it, the more convinced he became that Xu Ya might indeed hold the key to their escape from this Interdimensional Supernatural Incident. Excitement surged within him; after experiencing life and death several times, he was about to break free from this place. Chu Ping could hardly wait to return the book to its shelf. Just as he was about to speak up, he suddenly remembered that Lin Yun was still hiding in a corner behind him and quickly changed his mind. 0

"We're going to put the book back on the shelf right now, and I guess if Lin Yun hadn't run into trouble, she would have probably made it back to where we were just now." 0

Xu Ya felt that there was something more to Chu Ping's words after hearing them, but since they might be able to escape from here soon, she didn't dwell on it too much and nodded in agreement. 0

Meanwhile, Lin Yun, who had been hiding in the corner, understood what Chu Ping meant and immediately ran back. 0

On the way back, Chu Ping kept a bit of distance from Xu Ya. Although Xu Ya decisively entrusted him with the key to their escape, he still couldn't bring himself to fully trust her. His earlier doubts lingered in his mind, and he didn't want to regret any hasty decisions he might make. 0

When they reached the bookshelf where the three of them had initially separated, Xu Ya indeed found Lin Yun waiting for them. The moment she saw Lin Yun, her expression was filled with joy. Seeing Xu Ya's joyful expression finally eased Chu Ping's mind, allowing him to start believing Xu Ya's words. 0

Since neither of them spoke and they were close to leaving the library, Chu Ping didn't want to think too deeply anymore. Glancing at the category of the book in his hand, he said to both of them, "Let's put the book back first. We can discuss everything once we escape from here." 0

Xu Ya had originally wanted to ask Lin Yun why she had left but had no choice but to suppress her curiosity upon hearing Chu Ping's words. She followed closely behind him toward a bookshelf. 0

As they approached a shelf, Chu Ping looked up at the classification of the bookshelf and realized it matched the category of the book he was holding. Without hesitation, he placed it back on the shelf. However, just as he did so, he suddenly heard a terrible scream from behind Lin Yun, followed by an overwhelming wave of fear. 0

What happened behind him? 0

The thought barely crossed his mind when a pitch-black darkness enveloped him, and his consciousness began to fade. 0
