The seventh floor looked just as it had the night before, with the old brown wooden door still quietly ajar. 0

Since Jiang Liu was new to the events of the night, he had no clear understanding of what they had experienced the previous evening. Therefore, when he saw Liu Ming and the others react to the open door, their expressions were somewhat strange, and a hint of confusion flashed in their eyes. 0

The space on the seventh floor was not large; a few flashlights easily illuminated the entire area. Wang Xing surveyed the surroundings but found nothing particularly noteworthy. 0

The others soon noticed the same situation, feeling somewhat disheartened. 0

Although they had known before arriving on the seventh floor that there was a high probability of an extra level appearing, seeing it firsthand still left them feeling a twinge of disappointment. 0

As expected, that additional floor could not be so easily discovered by them. 0

"What should we do now? This is the only room on the seventh floor we haven't checked!" Wang Xing asked Liu Ming. 0

"The room hasn't changed either; I just stood at the door and looked in!" Liu Ming replied to Wang Xing, then glanced at Jiang Liu and continued, "Since the extra floor isn't on the seventh floor, that leaves us with only one possibility: the Haunted Building must be on one of the lower levels!" 0

After Liu Ming finished speaking, everyone instinctively turned to look down the hallway behind them. 0

"I don't know if you've noticed something!" Just as Wang Xing suggested they all go back downstairs and retrace their steps, Zhang Lin suddenly spoke up. 0

"What is it?" Wang Xing asked, puzzled. 0

"When we went upstairs earlier, I specifically counted. We started from the first floor! Logically, if an extra floor suddenly appeared among the other levels, we should have noticed! But strangely enough, I calculated the number of floors we passed through, and it was exactly six floors—no more, no less!" 0

"Are you sure you didn't miscount?" Wang Xing questioned skeptically. If this phenomenon had been suggested by Liu Ming, he might have believed it; however, coming from a newcomer diminished its credibility significantly. 0

"He is not wrong. When we came up, I specifically noted the floor number, and it matched his. We only went up six floors, yet we ended up on the seventh!" 0

During this supernatural event, Liu Ming had hypothesized many times and thought of various ways to find a way out. Although he hadn't shared his thoughts with the others, he had been paying close attention to the number of floors they had passed while going upstairs. 0

"Indeed, it can't be that easy for us to find an extra floor!" Wang Xing sighed and asked, "So what do we do now? Should we retrace our steps and carefully observe the surroundings in the corridor?" 0

"That's all we can do for now!" Liu Ming nodded in agreement with Wang Xing's suggestion. 0

This time, the five of them descended slowly. 0

They took about five or six minutes for each floor, meticulously observing their surroundings to see if anything unusual appeared while also counting the floors they descended. 0

However, to their despair, when they reached the sixth floor, they found themselves back on the first floor again! 0

It was as if this haunted building only had seven floors, and there was no extra floor at all! 0

How could this happen? They had clearly only descended six floors; why were they back on the first floor? 0

The reality of the situation left everyone's faces looking somewhat grim. 0

They had gone down very slowly and had been serious about observing their surroundings during their descent. 0

Even the scenery around them looked exactly the same as it did last night; nothing had changed at all! 0

Yet they still couldn't find where that extra floor was! 0

The mood among them grew increasingly agitated. 0

[Could it be that I overlooked something? But that can't be! All five of us were carefully observing during our descent; there's no way we could have missed any changes in that area!] 0

Jiang Liu felt a surge of impatience as he glanced back at the dark corridor behind him. He was convinced that the problem lay within that hallway. 0

There must have been some changes in the corridor that they had overlooked! 0

But where exactly had the change occurred? 0

"How about we walk through it again?" Wang Xing suggested, desperate for a solution. However, Liu Ming quickly dismissed the idea. 0

Liu Ming bit his nails, his gaze fixed on the depths of the dark corridor. "We were already very careful when we went downstairs. Even if we walk through it again, we won't discover anything new. Instead, it would be better for everyone to stay on the first floor and think about where the problem might be." 0

"I actually have a thought!" Zhang Lin interjected at that moment. 0

"What thought?" 0

"Earlier, Jiang Liu, our greatest danger might have been when we entered that extra first floor. If this guess is correct, then it wouldn't make sense for us to be unable to find the floors. So I suspect that there’s something we missed!" 0

The others present, except for Shuangshuang, were quick thinkers and soon grasped Zhang Lin's point. Liu Ming continued to gnaw at his nails. "That's true; 'it' wouldn't issue a mission with no chance of survival. The question is what have we forgotten?" 0

[Forgotten places? Or places we didn't notice!] 0

"Hey, could it be that we're experiencing a ghost wall? Or perhaps that extra layer isn't a floor at all but rather a room? After all, our mission last night set a trap for us in its wording!" 0

Wang Xing looked at Liu Ming excitedly, hoping for confirmation. 0

"I can't rule out that possibility, but I lean more towards another theory." 0

At this point, Liu Ming didn't finish his thought but turned his gaze toward Jiang Liu. "I want to hear your suggestion!" 0

The sudden appearance of Jiang Liu might not have caught the attention of the others, but Liu Ming, who had experienced an Interdimensional Supernatural Incident, understood that those who survived such events either had extraordinary luck or possessed a mindset far beyond the ordinary. 0

Although Jiang Liu currently acted like a newcomer who knew nothing, Liu Ming was still curious about his thoughts on the mission and wanted to observe what kind of person he truly was. 0

"I haven't experienced any real supernatural events, so I can't really express my views on some aspects," Jiang Liu shook his head in refusal. 0

"That's fine. Even if you're wrong, it doesn't matter. After all, everyone has different perspectives. What if you bring up something none of us have thought of?" 0

Hearing the probing tone in Liu Ming's voice, Jiang Liu decided to stop deflecting. After a moment of thought, he said, "I'll share my thoughts on the supernatural incidents I've encountered before and see if it sparks any insights." 0

"In the two supernatural incidents I previously experienced, the tasks were merely commands for us to do certain things. Unlike our current mission, the Alternate Dimension Incident didn't present textual traps and offered many hints! Although these hints were often hard to notice. For example, during a hotel incident I went through earlier, the way out had already appeared before us; we all noticed it but didn’t take it seriously. More importantly, there wasn't just one way out in the Alternate Dimension Incident!" 0

To Liu Ming and Wang Xing, Jiang Liu's words seemed to have no effect whatsoever. 0

This mission lacked hints, but based on their previous experiences, the way out was likely hidden within the content of the mission itself! 0

After finishing his statement, Jiang Liu fell silent. He knew that what he had just said wouldn’t help their current situation at all; after all, this was his first experience with a real supernatural event, and he had no relevant experience. 0

However, Zhang Lin, who had been listening intently to Jiang Liu's words, suddenly brightened her eyes as if she had thought of something! 0
