Hearing the meaning of Liu Ming's corpse, Wang Xing fell into deep thought once again.
Seeing Wang Xing frowning, Liu Ming sighed inwardly and asked him, "What do you think a corpse is?"
"Of course, it's what remains after a person dies," Wang Xing replied without hesitation. However, halfway through his answer, he froze, followed by a look of terror directed at Liu Ming, unable to believe this assumption.
Noticing Wang Xing's fearful expression, Liu Ming understood that Wang Xing had already guessed the way out. He decided not to hide it any longer and directly revealed the answer. Rather than addressing Wang Xing, it was more for the two newcomers nearby. After all, Wang Xing's expression had already indicated that he had figured it out, while the puzzled looks on the two newcomers' faces showed they were still confused.
"The body after a person dies is a corpse! And 'it' wants us to find the corpse, which is actually our own bodies!"
This answer struck like a bolt from the blue, leaving Zhang Lin at a loss for how to react!
An extremely absurd thought flashed through his mind!

Although Zhang Lin's academic performance in school was not outstanding, getting accepted into the renowned H University indicated that his intelligence was above average.
But why was someone like him unable to comprehend the conversation between Wang Xing and Liu Ming?
It's simple!
Zhang Lin's thinking had already been constrained by the framework of reality!
So when he suddenly faced this terrifying and inexplicable supernatural event, his mind couldn't escape the real world like Wang Xing and Liu Ming; he could only soar within a framework.
Previously, Liu Ming did not provide an answer to everyone directly, partly because he wanted to train Wang Xing's independent thinking, hoping that the next time he encountered such a supernatural event, he wouldn't be as lost as he was now.
When Liu Ming met Wang Xing, he had experienced an Interdimensional Supernatural Incident, the same type of supernatural event that Jiang Liu had recently gone through in the Edge World.
That supernatural incident had dealt a tremendous blow to Liu Ming!
Baffling mission events! Invisible death warnings! And absurd ways to survive!
These filled his heart with fear and despair regarding Interdimensional Supernatural Incidents!
Among more than twenty veteran Escapers, only he survived in the end!
If it hadn't been for a highly intelligent old man who revealed a way to survive just before his death, the outcome of that supernatural incident could have ended in total annihilation, and Liu Ming would not have made it out alive.
Therefore, in every subsequent supernatural incident, he would subconsciously encourage newcomers to think independently. However, this behavior led newcomers to mistakenly believe that Liu Ming despised them, thinking they were dragging him down and wanting them to perish early in these events.
Over time, Liu Ming became disheartened and stopped explaining himself to others.
It wasn't until later during another supernatural incident that he was saved by Wang Xing, a newcomer encountering such events for the first time, that he quietly began training him.
In the following supernatural incidents, the two survived many times together!
As for why he decided to train Zhang Lin, another newcomer facing supernatural events for the first time?
Because Liu Ming had high hopes for Zhang Lin. After the panic of the First Night, his performance among all the newcomers was the best, even comparable to some who had already become Escapers.
There was also Zhang Lin's emphasis on love.
Knowing full well that following either of the two elderly people to search the Haunted Building would be better than bringing along a rookie who was nothing but a burden, he still chose his girlfriend.
This made Liu Ming have a favorable impression of Zhang Lin.
Although in this supernatural incident, the chances of good people dying were the highest, it was better for him to slowly train Zhang Lin than to experience the supernatural with a selfish person only focused on survival. At least he had a good impression of Zhang Lin now!
"If we go by your logic, does that mean we have to kill someone ourselves in order to escape this Haunted Building?"

Wang Xing's voice trembled at this point, and he could barely suppress his disappointment and anger towards Liu Ming.
Standing behind Wang Xing, Zhang Lin instinctively grabbed Shuangshuang's hand upon hearing his words and began to step back, preparing to distance herself from the two elderly men.
"Don't show such anger. I haven't reached the point where I would lose my humanity just to survive."
Liu Ming looked calmly at Wang Xing's fiery eyes, feeling a hint of disappointment in his heart.
He never expected that after going through so many life-and-death situations together, Wang Xing would doubt him like this!
It was no wonder; this kind of behavior had always been what Wang Xing hated most. His anger stemmed from the fear of becoming someone who would stop at nothing for survival!
With that thought, Liu Ming's disappointment faded away, and he forced a bitter smile. "After all we've been through together, do you really not know what kind of person I am?"
Hearing this, Wang Xing was momentarily taken aback before recalling Liu Ming's character from the past. He felt a bit embarrassed, realizing he had overthought things. "I guess I was wrong! But if you know my personality, why would you say something like that? You know I would never do such a thing!"
"Of course I know!" Liu Ming shot Wang Xing a middle finger. "But right now, this is the only way I can think of to survive. And in this situation, we don't need to turn on each other to escape the Haunted Building!"
Watching the two newcomers distance themselves further, Liu Ming mocked Zhang Lin. "Why are you moving so far away? Afraid I'll kill you and then carry your body out?"
Zhang Lin, who had been ready to flee, found herself calming down after hearing Liu Ming's words.
She stopped retreating and fixed her gaze on Liu Ming. "If you want one of our bodies, I can assure you that before I die, I'll take one of you down with me!"
The determination in Zhang Lin's eyes caught Liu Ming off guard, stirring memories he had buried deep within himself.
Struggling to hold back tears, Liu Ming managed a strange smile. "Actually, I have another way to ensure that all four of us survive, but it depends on whether you're brave enough to try."
