Horror Chapter 0

The last team, Liu Ming and another newcomer, had finally arrived at the seventh floor, the highest level of the Haunted Building. 0

The seventh floor of the Haunted Building was different from the other six. Instead of classrooms, it only had a single worn-out brown wooden door standing quietly in front of Liu Ming. 0

He pushed against the old wooden door but found it wouldn’t budge; it must have been locked by someone. 0

At that moment, Liu Ming took out his phone and turned on the flashlight to examine the door. 0

Behind him, the newcomer kept glancing around at the surrounding darkness, clearly frightened by the atmosphere. With a trembling voice, he spoke to Liu Ming, who was inspecting the door. 0

“Liu Ge! Do you think a ghost might suddenly jump out here?” 0

“I don’t know if a ghost will jump out, but I do know there are definitely ghosts here!” Liu Ming replied casually as he crouched down to inspect the lock on the door with his phone's light. 0

Upon hearing Liu Ming’s response, the newcomer seemed even more terrified, looking around at the dark corners. 0

He felt an odd sensation, as if a ghost in a red dress were standing in some invisible corner, watching him and Liu Ming with malice. His legs couldn’t help but tremble, and his mind was in a state of tension! 0

“The lock doesn’t look very sturdy; we could give it a try!” Liu Ming suddenly said while still crouched down. 0

Startled by Liu Ming's sudden voice, the frightened newcomer instinctively asked, “Try what?” 0

Liu Ming stood up, turning his back to the newcomer. 0

"Step back a few paces and let's kick the door open together!" 0

"What? Kick the door open? Liu, are you joking?" The newcomer couldn't quite believe Liu Ming's words. 0

"Enough with the nonsense. Just kick it!" Liu Ming said impatiently. "I need to check if there are any bodies behind that wooden door!" 0

"Kick! I'll kick it!" 0

The newcomer, not daring to defy Liu Ming, stepped back a few paces and ran toward the wooden door to kick it. 0

After kicking it five or six times, they heard a loud crash! The wooden door was kicked open by the two of them! 0

In that instant, as the door swung open, a chilling gust of wind rushed out from inside the room, blowing over both of them and causing them to shiver involuntarily. 0

Liu Ming remained calm, clearly having experienced such eerie situations many times before. He raised his phone and pointed it into the room. 0

However, the newcomer was not so composed. The cold wind hit him, and his legs turned to jelly; he nearly collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down his face uncontrollably. 0

The light from the phone illuminated half of the room. 0

The interior was simply arranged, featuring a large table that could seat more than ten people and several chairs. It looked like it was meant for meetings. 0

The white curtain covered the front wall, occasionally billowing and fluttering. 0

Liu Ming guessed that there must be a window behind the curtain, which was simply left open. This explained why a cold breeze had blown out when he opened the door earlier. 0

Turning to look at the newcomer, he suddenly realized that the newcomer was nowhere to be seen. This startled Liu Ming, and he thought to himself, Where did they go? Could they have been dragged away by a ghost? That’s impossible! I didn’t hear a thing! 0

Just as he was about to call out loudly, his peripheral vision caught sight of a dark object at the doorway, right beside him! Startled, Liu Ming nearly kicked it away, quickly shining his phone's light on it. To his surprise, it was the newcomer who had just vanished! They were simply crouched down next to him, which was why he hadn’t noticed them at first! 0

Damn it! You almost scared me to death! 0

Liu Ming cursed under his breath. Just as he was about to scold the newcomer to vent his frustration, he noticed that the newcomer had lifted their head, tears streaming from their eyes. 0

"What the hell! Why are you crying? Did you see a ghost?" Liu Ming asked nervously as he glanced around. 0

"N-no, it's not that. I'm just scared," the newcomer hurriedly explained. 0

Upon hearing this explanation, Liu Ming instinctively felt like kicking them a few times. However, just as he lifted his foot, something seemed to dawn on him. He lowered his foot and sighed. "Get up quickly! Isn’t it embarrassing for a big guy like you to be crying?" 0

Hearing Liu Ming's reprimand, the newcomer quickly wiped their tears and stood up, fearing that if they upset Liu Ming, they would be left alone in this place! It would be better for them if they were killed outright! 0

"Hey, don’t cry next time. Have you ever heard the saying that men don’t shed tears easily?" Liu Ming asked with irritation. 0

"Yeah, I’ve heard it!" The newcomer nodded vigorously, their face still streaked with tears. 0

"Since you've heard it, don't act like a scared girl. The ghost hasn't even appeared yet, and you're already terrified. What will you do if it suddenly shows up? Will you die of fright, or faint?" Liu Ming mocked. 0

The newcomer nodded in shame, unable to respond. Liu Ming patted the newcomer's shoulder and said, "Remember, in this hellish place, ghosts have no sympathy. Once you show a weakness, you might be the next one to die! So remember what I told you: relying on others is not as good as relying on yourself!" 0

"I understand! I'll remember!" The newcomer raised their head and nodded firmly after hearing Liu Ming's words, vowing not to be scared like that again. Suddenly, they felt that Liu Ming, who had always seemed disdainful of them, wasn't as terrible as they had thought. Anyone who could comfort others in such a situation couldn't be all bad. After this incident, the newcomer's impression of Liu Ming improved significantly. 0

"By the way, Liu Ge, have you found the body?" After gathering their emotions, the newcomer leaned forward to peek into the room and asked, trying to convey that they were no longer afraid. 0

"Nope, it's empty inside. Just a big table and a few chairs—nothing else!" 0

Liu Ming looked at the newcomer amusingly as they hesitated to look into the room. "Alright, stop pretending! Let's hurry to the next floor!" 0

The newcomer blushed and pulled their head back, nodding repeatedly like a chick pecking at food, eager to leave this haunted place. 0

"Let's go!" 0

After Liu Ming said that, he turned and headed downstairs, with the newcomer quickly following behind. 0

But just as the newcomer passed by the wooden door! 0

A pair of pale, terrifyingly thin arms suddenly reached out from the darkness behind the door and grabbed the newcomer's neck! 0

Before they could even speak, those ghastly arms pulled them into the pitch-black room! 0

"Bang!" 0

The wooden door slammed shut again with a loud sound! 0

Hearing the noise, Liu Ming quickly turned around, only to find that the newcomer who had been following him was gone, and the wooden door had closed for some unknown reason! 0

Before he could react, a ghostly woman in white suddenly appeared at the window, floating in mid-air, looking at him with an extremely malevolent gaze. The sudden appearance of the ghostly woman made Liu Ming's heart skip a beat! 0

Liu Ming quickly regained his composure and realized what had happened. 0

It seemed that the newcomer was beyond saving! And now there was a ghostly woman in white in front of him! What bad luck! 0

With gritted teeth, he had no choice but to dash down the stairs in a panic! 0

Strangely enough, when the ghostly woman saw Liu Ming running down from the seventh floor, she slowly vanished as if she had never appeared at all. 0

The quiet seventh floor fell into complete silence once more! 0
