As the Student Sister desperately searched for a way out, the door that had been wide open silently closed. The temperature in the room gradually dropped, transforming it into a vast refrigerator, with the Student Sister trapped inside like a frozen item. 0

By the time she noticed, the temperature had already fallen several degrees from its initial warmth. 0

At first, the Student Sister dismissed the change in temperature as a mere illusion, convincing herself that as long as she didn’t pay attention to it, everything would be fine. However, when the temperature approached freezing, she could no longer endure the cold and decided to step outside to ask others if this was indeed an illusion or if she might freeze to death. 0

The moment she saw the tightly shut door, fear surged within her. 0

“Wasn’t the door open? Why is it closed? Who closed it?” 0

“Help! The door won’t open!” 0

The Student Sister shook the doorknob with all her might, desperate to escape. But it felt as though someone had welded the knob shut; no matter what she tried, it wouldn’t budge even slightly. 0

Her terrified cries echoed through the silent corridor beyond the door. Strangely, all the other rooms that had been open were now firmly closed, devoid of any signs of life. 0

After calling out for some time without receiving a response, the Student Sister's heart sank to the depths of despair. Her once beautiful black hair now hung messily around her shoulders like a bird's nest, and her eyes, usually bright and clear, were now bloodshot from tears. 0

Inside the room, apart from her occasional sobs, there was an eerie silence that felt almost suffocating. 0

The scene shifted back to Room 10. 0

Jiang Liu lay quietly on his bed, staring blankly at the Flower Panel. His mind was a chaotic whirl of thoughts that left him feeling wide awake. He recalled what Li Lin had said to the Student Sister earlier that afternoon. 0

“Don’t run out of your room recklessly. Calmly look for a way out. Treat any supernatural occurrences as mere illusions.” While those words seemed wise and caring from an elder towards a newcomer, Jiang Liu sensed another meaning beneath them. 0

Li Lin didn’t want the Student Sister to leave her room! 0

From the moment he learned that the Student Sister was being targeted by a ghost, Jiang Liu had hoped to glean some clues through her experiences. Yet having lived under the Red Star for nearly twenty years, he found himself unable to stand idly by due to his conscience. Just as he hesitated, Li Lin made his decision. 0

"Indeed, those veterans like Li Lin have no sympathy for newcomers! I wonder if Li Jing will make it through tonight?" 0

Jiang Liu felt a chill from Li Lin's actions. While everyone is selfish in the face of death, sacrificing others' lives for one's own survival was something he found hard to accept. 0

Lost in thought, he didn't know how much time had passed. 0

Suddenly, Jiang Liu sensed an unsettling silence around him. Normally, even if nothing were happening tonight, it shouldn't be this quiet—so quiet that he could hear his own breathing. 0

"Something's wrong?" 0

A bad premonition washed over him. He got out of bed only to find that the door was closed. 0

He turned the doorknob but it wouldn't budge, so he gave up. Suppressing the rising fear within him, Jiang Liu began to think about possible escape routes. Thankfully, he had experienced similar situations before and knew what to do when faced with sudden circumstances. 0

It would be a lie to say he wasn't afraid; even the elders would feel some fear in such situations. Jiang Liu just concealed his emotions well and didn't express any unnecessary feelings. If Li Lin were here now, he would surely admire Jiang Liu's composure. In just a short time, Jiang Liu had already surpassed many elders! Given time, his future was limitless! 0

"Hello! Is anyone there?" 0

Jiang Liu called out tentatively but received no response. He stopped speaking and pinched his nose as he began to think. 0

"There's no one outside, and my room's door is locked. It seems the ghost's target is me!" 0

With this thought, Jiang Liu couldn't help but smile bitterly in resignation. Just moments ago, he had been wondering if Student Sister would survive tonight, only to find that the ghost was after him instead. He just didn't know if he could make it through the night! 0

Like Student Sister, Jiang Liu began searching his room for anything unusual. After a long search, he found that aside from the Black Clock not ticking, everything else in the room was exactly as it had been during the day—no changes whatsoever. 0

He glanced at the still Black Clock on the wall and then at the eerie Giant Mirror nearby. Jiang Liu couldn't help but think of how the White-Collared Man shattered mirrors. After all, aside from these two oddities, he hadn't noticed anything particularly strange in the room that might have made him anxious. 0

Fortunately, after such a long time, nothing bizarre had occurred in the room, which eased his mind and allowed him to focus on finding a way out. 0

Suddenly, a sound echoed through the silence—"Snap!" 0

Just as Jiang Liu was at a loss for what to do, a sound of something shattering echoed down the corridor, causing his heart to race. The suppressed fear surged back into his mind. 0

He tried to lower his breathing, straining to hear what the noise in the corridor was. The surrounding environment had quieted down to the point where he could hear his own heartbeat. 0

Unfortunately, after that initial sound of something breaking, there was no further noise. After listening for a long time, the silence outside became eerily unsettling. After some thought, Jiang Liu realized that staying cooped up like this wasn’t a solution. He approached the door again and tried turning the doorknob. To his surprise, what had felt like a solid iron block before now turned easily, and the door swung open. 0

It seemed he really couldn’t escape this time! 0

Looking at the door that had opened just a crack, Jiang Liu felt a mix of amusement and despair. 0

The open door meant that whatever ghostly presence was involved in this supernatural event wanted him to go out rather than stay inside. If he chose to remain in the room now, something terrifying would likely happen within those walls. 0

Taking a deep breath, Jiang Liu slowly pushed the door open. For some reason, the door that usually made no sound now emitted a sharp, piercing creak that made his heart race even faster. 0

In this terrifyingly quiet environment, the sound of the door echoed through the corridor. The lights above flickered as if malfunctioning, casting an ominous shadow. 0

Standing in the corridor, illuminated by the flickering lights, he noticed that all the other doors that had been ajar were now tightly closed. When he reached Room 104, where the White-Collar Man resided, he turned the doorknob but found it locked. It seemed he wouldn’t be able to enter. 0

Just as he pondered what to do next, a shrill “squeak” echoed from deep within the corridor. 0
