Jiang Liu suddenly remembered that at the moment night fell, he seemed to have noticed something had changed! Unfortunately, the darkness interrupted his thoughts, and now he couldn't recall what it was, only that something had changed! It was likely a crucial hint! 0

What exactly had changed? He was certain he had forgotten some key clues! First Night: Death; Second Night: Fear of Death! There was one male and one female. Could it be that the ghost killed based on gender? But that didn't make sense! There were only two women here, which didn't fit this killing pattern. Or perhaps it was based on a counting pattern? Number 5 died after Number 7; if it followed this counting method, then tonight's victim could very well be Number 9, Malice! 0

With this thought, Jiang Liu turned his gaze toward Malice's face not far to his right. 0

No, it couldn't be that simple. Moreover, since Number 8 died accidentally, the order could very well have been disrupted. So this speculation was unlikely. The survivors were me, Number 0: Pride; Number 1: Jealousy; Number 3: Rage; Number 4: Sloth; Number 5: Greed; Number 6: Gluttony; and Number 9: Malice. The ghost must be among these people! But so far, he still hadn't figured out the order in which the ghost killed! 0

"I just thought of a question!" Jealousy, who had been silent for a long time, finally spoke up. 0

"What question?" Jiang Liu looked at Jealousy, eager to know what she had discovered. 0

"It started when you misled us with your earlier remarks about the masks. I have this idea, but I'm not sure if it's correct." Jealousy bit her nails, her eyes fixed on the patterns on the Black Round Table. "Because my idea contradicts your initial point that there is one ghost among us! The mysterious voice randomly selects one person from us to be the ghost, but you suggested that there might have been a ghost arranged among us before we entered this Death Game. If that's the case, then the randomness claimed by that mysterious voice would contradict itself! If there is already a ghost, how could they randomly select someone to be the ghost? Unless..." 0

At this point, Jealousy paused and scanned the other attendees seriously. "Unless there isn't just one ghost among us as we initially thought! I’ve always questioned the number of ghosts! I've played Murder Games before, and generally, there need to be at least two ghosts for the game to continue; otherwise, it would create problems within the game itself! This is completely illogical! More importantly, that mysterious voice claimed there was only one ghost!" 0

Jealousy's words completely jolted Jiang Liu awake! He understood now why he initially suspected someone but later observed that they had no motive to kill anyone. Moreover, if Jealousy was right and there were two ghosts from the start—one True Ghost and one False Ghost—then identifying the False Ghost wouldn't end the game at all; the rules required them to find the True Ghost! 0

Damn these rules! They misled me completely! The game rules I understood at first were off! What happens if we identify incorrectly? What about identifying correctly? I should have realized this sooner; the hint was already quite clear. If I had noticed back then, we could have exposed the False Ghost's identity directly. The False Ghost might not even die! 0

Jiang Liu shared his thoughts with the others present, and once again they were shocked. Rage directly asked, "So you mean we need to identify two ghosts instead of just one?" 0

"Well! However, I believe the False Ghost does not pose much of a threat to us, because I suspect that the one committing the murders is the True Ghost! As for the False Ghost, he might not even know who the True Ghost is! Moreover, it’s very likely that the False Ghost is on the True Ghost's death list!" Jiang Liu said calmly, casting a discreet glance at someone present before continuing, "But! Another question arises!" 0

"What question?" Jealousy was pleased that his viewpoint was validated. Jiang Liu's affirmation made him feel a flicker of gratitude. In such circumstances, having someone confirm his thoughts was undoubtedly a sign of trust! So when he heard Jiang Liu mention another issue, he was the first to inquire. 0

"The purpose of the game in arranging a False Ghost for us?" 0

"What do you mean? Didn't you say earlier that the False Ghost was just a misdirection for us? Isn't that right?" 0

Everyone was puzzled. It had been Jiang Liu who proposed the idea of misdirection earlier, and now he was asking about the game's purpose in arranging a False Ghost—wasn't this contradictory? Wasn't he just shooting himself in the foot? 0

"Uh... maybe I didn't make myself clear." Jiang Liu looked at everyone and scratched his head. "What I mean is, besides being a misdirection, the False Ghost might also be hinting at something for us!" 0

"Still not following?" 0

"Sigh, let me put it another way!" Jiang Liu thought for a moment and asked a guiding question: "What do you think would happen if we identified the False Ghost?" 0

"Just like yours; if we identify correctly, the False Ghost would be fine!" Rage immediately shared his opinion. 0

"Exactly! The False Ghost is very likely to be unharmed! But!" Jiang Liu suddenly slowed down his speech, emphasizing each word as he continued, "Do you think the game would be so boring as to present an identification result where no one dies?" 0

"You mean... something even more terrifying could happen?" Jealousy asked nervously. 0

"Yes, it's very possible that this is a dead end deliberately set by the game, waiting for us to trigger it." 0

"Dead end!" Jealousy said, a hint of surprise in her tone. "What will happen?" 0

"I don't know," Jiang Liu replied, shaking his head. "But we can deduce it bit by bit. First, we need to clarify the difference between the killing methods of False Ghost and True Ghost!" 0

"Killing has different methods?" Rage chuckled. 0

"Yes, in fact, the deaths of Lust, Joy, and Fear have already hinted at this. The methods of killing by ghosts are also different." 0

At this point, Jiang Liu closed his eyes. This was a way of thinking he hadn't used in a long time. By shutting his eyes, his senses were no longer influenced by the outside world, and his mind replayed every detail from the beginning of the events to now as if time were flowing backward. 0

It was quite perverse, wasn't it? However, this inhuman way of thinking had severe side effects—so severe that he could potentially lose himself! Therefore, Jiang Liu would not easily resort to this method unless it was absolutely necessary. Fortunately, he was naturally intelligent and had not used this approach for years; this was the first time he had done so in a long while. There was no choice! The hints in this game were too complex, and there were too many traps! He had to use this method to re-observe the entire incident. 0
