It was a morning like any other when Brother Luo's words shattered the tranquility: Tong Wei was missing. 0

Tong Wei was European, another pilot aboard our ship, who had joined us from the Black Sea and had been with us as we entered the Atlantic. 0

But how could he suddenly disappear on such a large vessel? He Si looked at Brother Luo and asked if he had checked elsewhere. 0

Brother Luo shook his head, stating that he had searched all the places he could think of but found nothing. This made Gu Chen furrow his brow slightly. 0

The commotion outside broke the silence, and we all got up to see He Si and the others in heated discussion. I asked, "Fourth Brother, what happened to the master?" 0

"Tong Wei is missing," He Si replied. 0

"Tong Wei is missing? Shouldn't he be in the control room?" I was puzzled by this news. 0

Brother Luo then explained, "Last night, I asked Hou Guli to take over for him, thinking he could use some rest. I never expected that by this morning, we would have searched the entire ship and still not find him." 0

"There are no other ships around, and he's not on board. That doesn't make sense," I said, my brow furrowing further. 0

However, my words seemed to trigger something in Gu Chen's mind. He turned directly to Brother Luo and asked, "Brother Luo, are there any spare lifeboats or similar equipment on this ship?" 0

Brother Luo paused for a moment before nodding vigorously. "Yes, I've seen them." 0

"Let's go check," Gu Chen said decisively. 0

Brother Luo nodded again and quickly led the way. He Si and I exchanged glances before hurrying after Gu Chen, while Mu Yan and Mingyue stayed close by my side. 0

Brother Luo mentioned that there were lifeboats at both the stern and in the leisure area on the deck. We first arrived at the leisure area on the deck, but the lifeboats there remained intact. 0

We followed Brother Luo to the stern of the ship, and upon arrival, he seemed momentarily stunned. 0

"What’s going on?" Gu Chen asked, noticing his unusual expression. 0

"A lifeboat is missing," Brother Luo replied after a careful inspection, looking up at Gu Chen with a somewhat grim face. 0

His words caused Gu Chen's expression to darken as well. After a brief silence, he said to Brother Luo, "Go tell Hou Guli to slow down and see if there's any chance of finding Tong Wei nearby." 0

"Okay, I'll do that right away." Without hesitation, Brother Luo turned and left. 0

At that moment, Gu Chen's face was heavy with concern. The fact that one lifeboat was missing clearly indicated that Tong Wei had likely taken it and left the ship. 0

But where could he have gone in this vast sea? 0

And why would he leave the ship? This raised some curiosity. 0

The ship slowly cruised across the surface of the ocean. From morning until night, we searched for any sign of Tong Wei. However, as darkness began to fall, we still hadn’t found anything—not even a glimpse of the lifeboat, let alone Tong Wei himself. 0

"Could he have left on his own?" He Si said from the edge of the deck. 0

"Maybe," Gu Chen replied lightly, shaking his head. "Let’s just go back." 0

We nodded in silence. We had tried our best but found nothing; there was nothing more we could do. As we turned to head back into the cabin—after all, the wind on the sea was strong, especially at night—I suddenly froze in place. My gaze shot forward, and I stood there with my mouth agape, pointing and shouting in shock. 0

With a loud shout, I instantly drew all their attention. Before anyone could ask more, He Si exclaimed, "What a huge ship!" 0

Brother Luo looked equally shocked, filled with confusion. Just moments ago, the sea had been empty, and now this massive vessel had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. 0

"It's not a ship; it's a Mirage," Gu Chen said seriously, his gaze fixed on the direction of the enormous cruise liner. 0

"Mirage?" I couldn't help but frown slightly as I looked again. 0

The massive ship felt too real to be just an illusion, but I had heard of Mirages before. As it turned out, the enormous vessel before us was indeed not a real ship but a Mirage, just as Gu Chen had said. 0

In the next moment, it slowly began to fade from our sight, sinking into the ocean at a visible pace. 0

"Alright, everyone head back," Gu Chen said nonchalantly about the appearance of the Mirage. After another brief statement, he turned and walked into the cabin. 0

I nodded and followed him back. 0

However, out of curiosity—or perhaps in awe of the spectacular sight of the Mirage—I couldn't help but glance back one more time. 0

This glance proved to be significant; I found myself momentarily frozen in place, mouth agape as my eyes were drawn to the scene before me. 0

The massive ship that had just vanished now bizarrely reappeared on the surface of the sea. 0

What was even more strange was that there were now many lively figures aboard that enormous vessel, bustling with laughter and conversation. 0

There were men and women of various ages; the men looked dashing while most of the women were dressed like socialites, chatting in groups and engaging in animated discussions. 0

But what was strange was that even though the distance wasn't very far, I couldn't hear a single word of their conversation; it was as if the sound had been completely cut off. 0

What intrigued me even more was that most of those people didn't seem to be Chinese, but rather from other countries, and the ship they were on was vastly larger than the one we were on. 0

Could this be another Mirage? 0

As I gazed at the scene before me, feeling both eerie and shocked, doubts began to arise in my mind once again. 0

Yet, I couldn't help but be drawn to it, my feet moving uncontrollably toward the edge of the ship, where a lifeboat happened to be located. 0

At that moment, a strong desire surged within me, an uncontrollable urge to explore that massive cruise ship. 0

I quickly reached the side of the lifeboat, and just as I was about to climb aboard and untie the ropes, a hand suddenly grabbed me from behind with great force. 0

I turned around to see Gu Chen looking at me with a serious expression. 0

He Si, Mu Yan, Mingyue, Brother Luo, and others had also stopped in their tracks, their gazes fixed on me with furrowed brows. 0

It seemed they were puzzled by my actions. 0
