Grandma Jiang nodded slightly and said, "In that case, I will help you in a few days."
Xiao Juan said nothing more. Although she had wiped away her tears, the corners of her eyes were still slightly red.
"Let's go inside," Grandma Jiang sighed and turned to walk into the house.
Xiao Juan softly replied with an "mm" and lowered her head, following behind.
"Lin Hao, what's up with those two? They ignored me when I greeted them," Liu Man said as she entered the room after arranging everything.
I shook my head and didn’t say much.
Noticing my gloomy expression, Liu Man paused for a moment and then muttered helplessly, "What a strange bunch."
About an hour later, the person Liu Man sent to pick up Mingyue arrived.
Upon entering the house and seeing Grandma Jiang and Xiao Juan, Mingyue clearly hesitated for a moment.
Xiao Juan merely glanced at her before lowering her head again, while Grandma Jiang completely ignored her.
My mother quickly stepped forward to greet Mingyue. After she acknowledged her, Mingyue walked directly into the room. When she saw my current state, her face instantly turned cold.
"What happened?"
Earlier, Mingyue hadn’t asked during our phone call, and I hadn’t mentioned it either, so she was unaware that Yang Yi had come. Seeing me like this left her stunned in place.
I forced a smile and said, "It's all because of Yang Yi."
"He actually chased me all the way here," Mingyue said, a hint of frost flashing across her face.
I nodded and replied, "Yeah, he really came quickly."
"How's your injury?" Mingyue asked again, her tone seemingly indifferent.
I said, "Aside from my arm, I'm fine. Just some superficial wounds, nothing serious."
After a brief silence, Mingyue's voice turned somber. "Yang Yi cannot be left alive."
I was taken aback and looked at Mingyue. "Don't do anything reckless."
Although Yang Yi had been shot in the leg by my father, he was still a terrifying individual with formidable strength in every aspect. Mingyue was no match for him; if she recklessly sought out Yang Yi, it would only put herself in danger.
Seemingly understanding my concerns, a cold glint flashed in Mingyue's eyes. "Don't worry, this time I have confidence."
"You have confidence? What kind of confidence?" Her words caught me off guard.
At that moment, Grandma Jiang, who was sitting nearby, suddenly interjected. "The Unloading Gate has its defenses; this is not a remote mountain forest with no one around. As someone from the Unloading Gate, she naturally has her own means."
"What do you mean by that?" Grandma Jiang's words only deepened my confusion.
"You should ask her yourself," Grandma Jiang snorted coldly.
I immediately turned my gaze to Mingyue, my face filled with curiosity.
Mingyue fell silent for a moment before saying, "Indeed, as she mentioned."
Then she looked at me and asked, "Your master must have told you about General Fa Qiu, Tomb Raider, Mover of Mountains, and our Mountain Unloading Warriors, right?"
I nodded; Gu Chen had indeed given me a brief explanation.
Mingyue continued, "That's right. The so-called Fa Qiu has seals, Tomb Robbers have charms, Moving Mountains has techniques, and Mountain Unloading has armor. Our Mountain Unloading Warriors, aside from being strong and skilled in Tomb Robbing, are most renowned for this armor."
I frowned slightly; Mingyue's words still left me confused and somewhat bewildered.
"Give me a day," Mingyue said without further explanation, her gaze steady on me.
"What for?" I asked, taken aback.
"To help you find Yang Yi," she replied firmly.
"You can find Yang Yi?" I was surprised again.
"It's not that I can; it's that I will definitely find him," Mingyue said with confidence.
Seeing her assured expression, I nodded slowly and said, "If you can really find him, that would be great. Second Uncle is also here; we can deal with him then."
Grandma Jiang coldly chuckled and said, "I'm afraid by then you won't even need Mao Guoxue."
After saying that, she ignored me. I was curious but had no choice but to remain silent.
Mingyue looked at me and said, "I will be back before dark tomorrow."
"You’re leaving?" I asked in surprise. "You just got here, and it's almost dark. Where are you going?"
"I told you, this time I will not let Yang Yi go." After saying that, she ignored me and turned coldly towards the door, striding out.
"Bright Moon."
I called out, my mind still in a muddle, but as soon as I tried to move, the pain in my body made me grimace, so I had no choice but to lie back down.
"Don't worry, what she said she will definitely do. Just lie there honestly and wait for her to come back with a large group tomorrow," Grandma Jiang said coldly upon seeing my state.
But her words only deepened my confusion.
A large group? What large group?
I wanted to ask Grandma Jiang, but she muttered coldly to herself, "I really don't understand what’s so good about you that so many people are revolving around you."
Her voice was low and not directed at me, yet I heard it clearly and felt too embarrassed to ask further.
After Mingyue left, the house fell into silence.
Grandma Jiang and Liu Man sat quietly on either side, not saying a word.
Xiao Juan nestled beside Grandma Jiang, seeming like a different person compared to usual. She was no longer chatty; instead, she appeared gloomy, her head lowered as if lost in thought about something in her Dao Heart.
Seeing her like this made me feel somewhat distressed. I knew that her current state was likely related to me in some way.
But I truly didn’t know what to do; I had already said everything I needed to say.
My mom had gone into the kitchen to busy herself with dinner, leaving me alone lying on the bed.
As the sky gradually darkened, Liu Man couldn't help but express her concern, "We don't know what's happened to the two people you brought. They've been gone for so long and haven't returned. The Heavenly Eye is about to turn dark; I wonder if it will be as frightening as last night."
Just as her voice fell, before I could respond, Grandma Jiang suddenly looked up, her gaze fixed on the ceiling, her expression turning somber.
Her sudden and strange behavior caught us off guard, and we all looked up in confusion. The next moment, we heard a series of crisp sounds coming from above.
"Someone's on the roof," Liu Man suddenly pointed at the ceiling, breaking the silence.
However, a glimmer of sharpness flashed in Grandma Jiang's murky eyes as she said, "That's not a person; it's a ghost."
"What? A ghost?"
Grandma Jiang's words startled Liu Man, who gasped in shock, her mouth agape but seemingly too afraid to make a sound as she covered her lips with her hand.
