Big Head shook his head again. "I don't know either. Grandpa never tells me when he goes out. But even if he were here, he probably wouldn't want to see you."
"Why?" This time it wasn't Gu Chen who asked; I couldn't help but blurt it out.
Big Head seemed a bit annoyed by the previous conversation. He shot me a glare and snorted coldly. "Because Grandpa rarely sees guests, especially outsiders. If Liu Ge hadn't said you were brought by Mingyue, I wouldn't have let you in."
Seeing his serious expression, I had no reason to doubt him. Plus, he looked too honest to be lying.
However, my initial confusion only deepened as he mentioned Mingyue again. I became even more curious about her relationship with them or with this Mu Family.
Why did she bring us here? And why didn't she come along but got off halfway instead?
These questions left me feeling quite puzzled. So I looked at Big Head and softened my tone. "Big Head, can you tell me what your relationship is with that girl Mingyue?"
"What relationship?"
Big Head paused for a moment upon hearing this, then asked, "What do you mean by our pure relationship?"
I was instantly at a loss for words. Mingyue, in both appearance and demeanor, could undoubtedly be called a goddess, and she belonged to the type of high and cold goddesses. Every time I saw her, she wore a proud expression on her face and had never smiled even once.
Looking at Big Head again, I realized he was even more ordinary in appearance than I was. Although he had a simple and honest demeanor, it was nowhere near the level of someone like Mingyue.

"Yeah, is there a problem?" Big Head replied earnestly.
"No," Zhou Zhen shook his head in response, then glanced at me and Gu Chen with a somewhat complicated expression.
At that moment, Liu Xin curiously asked, "How come you guys didn't know Mingyue's last name is Mu?"
I shook my head and said, "She only told us her name was Mingyue; she never mentioned her last name or her connection to the Mu family."
"Oh, so that's how it is," Liu Xin finally understood.
However, we were all puzzled. Since Mingyue was a descendant of the Unloading Gate lineage and her last name was Mu, what about this person from the Mu family?
And Big Head—was he really as simple and honest as he appeared?
I couldn't help but scrutinize him closely but found nothing unusual about him.

Then Gu Chen looked at Big Head and smiled kindly, saying, "Since we can't see your grandfather, let's leave for now. We can come back another day when we have time to bother you."

"What else do you want to do?" Gu Chen coldly retorted.
I quickly replied, "What about Mu Yan?"
This time, Gu Chen didn't respond. Instead, he shot me a glare and simply said one word: "Leave."
I was a bit confused but was pulled along by Zhou Zhen as we walked out.
Liu Xin and Big Head followed behind us. Liu Xin curiously asked, "Bro, is Mu Yan really your girlfriend?"
I nodded and said, "Yes."
I spoke quite firmly. Although Mu Yan was a ghost, given our relationship, calling her my girlfriend was not an exaggeration at all.
Liu Xin nodded and then looked at me with a somewhat complicated expression. He sneakily pulled me aside. I was puzzled and frowned slightly as I glanced at Gu Chen and Zhou Zhen but still followed him to the side.
He leaned in close to my ear and whispered, "Bro, meeting is fate. Let me give you a friendly reminder today: it's best if you stay away from the Mu Family; otherwise, it could be detrimental to you."
"What do you mean?" I asked in a low voice.
“Shh.”
He quickly made a gesture for silence, then glanced at the distant Big Head, Gu Chen, and Zhou Zhen, whispering, “Don’t ask too many questions; just remember what I said.”
I have a bit of a flaw: once I learn something, I tend to stubbornly dig deeper until I get to the bottom of it. So, I insisted on asking him to tell me why.
With no other choice, Liu Xin said, “I observed you closely. Your forehead is dark, indicating that there is something wrong with you. However, the dark energy is gathering and not dispersing, so there isn’t any immediate danger. Yet since you entered the Mu Family, the redness on your face has faded, the purple energy has not appeared, and instead, a Killing Intent is gathering—this is a sign of great misfortune. That’s why I warned you.”
After saying this, Liu Xin didn’t say anything more and directly followed Gu Chen and the others.
I stood there for a long time, my expression grim.
Just then, my phone in my pocket rang. Startled, I pulled it out and saw that it was a call from Xiao Juan. I didn’t think much of it and answered.
Xiao Juan’s voice came through quickly; she told me that He Si had woken up and urged us to hurry back to the hotel. The situation seemed a bit complicated and was not as simple as what He Si had said before falling unconscious.
