I hadn't fully processed what was happening when Mao Shiba and Zhou Zhen turned around, grabbed my hand, and started running back in the opposite direction. 0

Mao Shiba was so fast that I couldn't keep up with him. As he pulled me along, I stumbled and nearly fell to the ground. 0

Fortunately, Mu Yan was right beside me. She grabbed my other hand and floated forward, lifting me off the ground. With her help, I managed to match Mao Shiba's speed. 0

In fact, I was even faster. 0

At that moment, an absurd thought crossed my mind: having a ghost girlfriend might not be such a bad thing after all. The most basic point was already evident—there was no need for me to struggle to run on my own; they were literally carrying me through the air. 0

But while imagination is beautiful, reality is always harsh. 0

Just as Mu Yan had lifted me off the ground for only a short distance, I suddenly felt a chill creeping up my back, accompanied by heavy panting sounds coming from behind us. 0

I couldn't help but look back, and what I saw nearly scared me to death. 0

I screamed, "Ah! A ghost!" 0

Perhaps I was too frightened at that moment; otherwise, I wouldn't have shouted that. What was following us wasn't a ghost at all but a Zombie. 0

Its withered face was stiff and dry, with hard fangs protruding like daggers from its mouth. Under the moonlight, they glimmered with a chilling light. Its hands were rigidly stretched out in front of it, fingers extended straight. 0

The nails on its ten fingers were several centimeters long and also emitted a faint glow, sending shivers down my spine at just one glance. 0

More importantly, at the instant I turned around, I realized that it was only inches away from me. I could almost feel its cold nails reaching toward my face. 0

In the next moment, an immense force hit me. Mu Yan threw me away, and I landed hard on the ground. 0

"Ouch!" 0

I got up from the ground and couldn't help but let out a cry of pain; my backside felt as if it had been smashed like a watermelon. 0

As I groaned in pain, I cursed Mu Yan in my heart. This devil was truly unreliable, just throwing me out like that. 0

If I were any older, this fall could have shattered my bones. 0

But when I turned to look back, all my complaints vanished in an instant. 0

Not far behind me, a hideous and grotesque Fellow was fighting against Mu Yan, Mao Shiba, and Zhou Zhen. 0

This ugly Fellow was the very creature that had scared me half to death when Mu Yan had dragged me away. Now that I looked closely, it seemed somewhat familiar. 0

Cloud Ghost General. 0

I was instantly stunned, staring at the grotesque creature battling with Mu Yan and the others, my face filled with disbelief. 0

Because this ugly Fellow was indeed the Cloud Ghost General; I could be certain of that—there was no way I could mistake it. 0

However, to say he was the Cloud Ghost General now would be a huge understatement compared to before. 0

With sharp fangs like daggers and claws several centimeters long glinting coldly, these features were something the previous Cloud Ghost General did not possess. 0

Wasn't this exactly what we often see on television as a Zombie? 0

Could it be that the Cloud Ghost General had turned into a Zombie? 0

This thought suddenly surged through my mind. 0

However, there was no time to ponder further. At that moment, Zhou Zhen was violently thrown away like a kite with its string cut, landing not far from me. 0

I hurried over to help him up and asked, "Uncle Zhou, are you okay?" 0

He shook his head and replied, "I'm fine." 0

But judging by his grimacing face and flushed cheeks, it was clear he had taken quite a hard hit. 0

I pointed at the terrifying Fellow still fighting with Mu Yan and asked, "Uncle Zhou, doesn't that look a bit like the Cloud Ghost General?" 0

"What do you mean by 'looks like'? It is what it is," Zhou Zhen replied, looking exasperated. 0

Upon hearing this, I realized my earlier suspicion was correct. Could it be that the Cloud Ghost General had really turned into a Zombie? 0

Zhou Zhen's next words confirmed my thoughts. He said that the Cloud Ghost General could no longer be called a Ghost General; instead, it had been transformed into a Zombie through a corpse-reviving technique. 0

Moreover, this Zombie was even more ferocious than a typical one, and since it was a Jumping Zombie, it was incredibly formidable. 0

"Look closely at its eyes," Zhou Zhen pointed to the Cloud Ghost General, now a Zombie. 0

I looked over curiously and gasped, "Its eyes seem to be red." 0

Zhou Zhen explained, "It's not that its eyes are red; rather, they are filled with blood energy concentrated in its gaze. This is due to being nourished with enough Yin Blood through a corpse-reviving method." 0

I had no idea what Yin Blood nourishing meant; all I knew was that staring into those blood-red eyes in the darkness was terrifying. 0

That fear came from deep within, making my heart race. 0

"Mu Yan!" 0

Suddenly, I exclaimed as Mu Yan was violently thrown away. Fortunately, she wasn't injured and gracefully landed on the ground. 0

She glanced back at me, her icy demeanor softened by a hint of tenderness, then she prepared to rush back in to help Mao Shiba. 0

While engaged in a life-and-death struggle with the Zombie Cloud Ghost General, Mao Shiba shouted, "Get back! You're getting in my way!" 0

His harsh command startled Mu Yan for a moment, but then she seemed to get angry and lifted her foot as if she were determined to charge forward again. 0

At that moment, Zhou Zhen said beside me, "Mao Shiba is worried about injuring her with his runes. You need to get her back quickly." 0

Hearing this, I nodded slightly. Earlier, I had found it strange why Mao Shiba and Zhou Zhen were only using talismans against the Zombie transformed from the Cloud Ghost General. 0

Now I understood; it was because they were concerned about Mu Yan. 0

Seeing Mu Yan about to charge forward again, I hurriedly shouted, "Mu Yan, come back! Otherwise, Mao Shiba's talismans might hurt you!" 0

At my shout, Mu Yan turned to glance at me, snorted coldly, and finally ran back. 0

With Mu Yan no longer in the way, Mao Shiba could truly unleash his fists and feet. 0

In the night, I could see him holding one talisman after another, chanting incantations as he fought against the Zombie that the Cloud Ghost General had become. 0

However, the Zombie was incredibly powerful after its transformation. It seemed that Mao Shiba's talismans did not inflict much damage; when a talisman struck its body, it merely sparked without causing significant harm. 0

Every time he was violently knocked back by Mao Shiba, he would instantly bounce back with incredible speed. Even if Mao Shiba wanted to escape, it was exceedingly difficult. 0

"This is bad; this Jumping Zombie is even more formidable than a regular Jumping Zombie. Without powerful talismans or magical artifacts in hand, Eighteen stands no chance against him." 0

Seeing Mao Shiba in such peril, Zhou Zhen grew anxious and turned to me, saying, "Xiao Lin, you all stay here and don't go anywhere. I'm going to help." 0

I nodded and said worriedly, "Uncle Zhou, be careful." 0

Zhou Zhen nodded and charged forward, quickly entering the battlefield. 0

Although I couldn't help directly, watching their intense battle made me sweat for both Mao Shiba and Zhou Zhen. 0

Suddenly, Zhou Zhen shouted loudly, "Eighteen, grab his arms!" 0

Without hesitation, Mao Shiba circled behind the Zombie transformed from the Cloud Ghost General. He leaped up and tightly wrapped his arms around its neck while his legs coiled around its arms like ropes, securing himself firmly. 0

However, the Cloud Ghost General as a Zombie was ferocious and incredibly strong. It continuously tried to shake Mao Shiba off, but he refused to let go. No matter how much it struggled, he used all his strength to cling on. 0

Zhou Zhen moved swiftly; seeing an opportunity arise, he flipped his hand to take out his dark yellow Bagua Mirror. Chanting an incantation, he bit his middle finger and pressed the blood onto the Bagua Mirror. In a flash, he inscribed a mysterious rune and leaped into the air directly toward the Zombie that was once the Cloud Ghost General. 0

In the next moment, the Bagua Mirror burst forth with a blood-red golden light, striking down fiercely upon his head. 0

The Cloud Ghost General, now transformed into a Zombie, let out a deep, guttural roar as Zhou Zhen's Bagua Mirror hit him. It seemed to cause him great pain, sending him flying backward and crashing hard to the ground. 0

However, Zhou Zhen and Mao Shiba were also violently thrown back once again. 0

But Mao Shiba was determined; as he fell, he quickly got back up and rushed to Zhou Zhen's side, shouting, "Uncle Zhou, let me borrow the Bagua Mirror!" 0

Without hesitation, Zhou Zhen handed the Bagua Mirror over to Mao Shiba. 0

With the Bagua Mirror in hand, Mao Shiba charged toward the Zombie Cloud Ghost General. He pulled out a rune from his pocket and carefully folded it into a long strip, swirling it in the air before him while chanting an incantation. 0

"Five Elders summon the Deity, Supreme One stands tall; Commanding the jade script, turning bare hands into true swords. Borrowing the power of the moon above, drawing on the earth's energy below; Command..." 0

At that moment, Mao Shiba appeared exceptionally solemn. The incantations flowed like sacred sounds. As his voice fell, the rune in his hand instantly transformed into a ball of flame, which then gathered at the center of the Bagua Mirror. 0

Mao Shiba flipped the Bagua Mirror up and down in a flash, unleashing a blinding light that shot directly at the Cloud Ghost General, who had just bounced back up from the ground. 0

"Boom!" 0

Accompanied by heavy, labored breaths and roars, it seemed as if a golden sword emerged from the Bagua Mirror, crashing into the Cloud Ghost General's chest and leaving a large hole that ignited in flames. 0

His body was once again violently knocked backward. 0

"Damn it! I refuse to believe this won't finish you off," Mao Shiba said with a disheveled grin as he put away the Bagua Mirror. 0

Seeing that the Zombie Cloud Ghost General had fallen to the ground and no longer moved, Zhou Zhen couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. 0

"Is he done for?" I asked in disbelief. 0

Zhou Zhen nodded and replied, "What you just saw was an extremely high level of Daoist Arts used by Eighteen. With my artifact as a medium to channel the earth's energy and moonlight power, he should be finished." 0

But just as he finished speaking, an unexpected turn of events occurred. 0

The Fellow, which had originally been lying on the ground seemingly motionless, suddenly sprang to life, letting out an angry roar as it charged directly at Mao Shiba. 0

Due to the close distance and Mao Shiba having relaxed, he had not anticipated that this Cloud Ghost General transformed into a Zombie would be so ferocious. 0

Despite suffering such severe injuries, it was still able to rise and close the distance in an instant. 0

Instinctively, Mao Shiba attempted to use the Bagua Mirror in his hand to cast a spell, but in an instant, sharp claws pierced through the Bagua Mirror, shattering it into pieces. 0

Suddenly, Mao Shiba found himself in unprecedented danger. 0

At that moment, the Zombie transformed from the Cloud Ghost General resembled a furious beast, launching a frenzied attack. 0

"Hmph." 0

A cold snort suddenly echoed through the air. Just at this critical moment, a shadow darted in like lightning from afar. 0
