The team advanced along the road littered with corpses, each step heavy and arduous. What once felt like a warm and cheerful town now resembled a hell on earth. Buildings on either side of the street lay in ruins, and countless bodies were scattered across the ground, bloodied and mangled, a sight too horrific to bear. The air was thick with the stench of blood, suffocating in its intensity.
Li Ming and Chen Yao led the group, carefully navigating through the desolate streets. Each member's heart was filled with immense pressure and fear, but they knew they had to persevere and complete this daunting mission.
"This place... it's like a living hell," a soldier murmured softly, his face pale, fear and sorrow flickering in his eyes.
"Everyone hold on! We must complete our mission!" Li Ming encouraged loudly, determination flashing in his gaze.
Chen Hao walked at the front of the team, his eyes fixed on the human remains scattered on the ground. Suddenly, his attention was drawn to a familiar badge. Crouching down, he examined the corpse closely, and when he saw the insignia on the uniform, a sharp pain pierced his heart.
"This is... the badge of the Second Squad," Chen Hao whispered, his voice filled with anger and grief. He reached down to pick up the badge, gripping it tightly in his hand, feeling its cold metallic touch as waves of pain and resentment surged within him.
Li Ming approached and saw the badge in Chen Hao's hand; his expression grew even more serious. "They... they are already..."
"Yes, the Second Squad... wiped out," Chen Hao replied quietly, tears glistening in his eyes. He took a deep breath, striving to regain his composure before standing up and carefully placing the badge into his pocket. "We cannot let their sacrifice be in vain; we must complete this mission."
"We will succeed," Li Ming said firmly, determination shining in his eyes.
The team continued forward, their hearts heavy with pressure and tension. Each soldier gripped their weapons tightly, their gazes filled with courage and resolve. No matter what challenges lay ahead, they would give their all to protect this city.
"Everyone stay alert and be ready for battle!" Chen Hao commanded loudly. The soldiers responded in unison, their eyes fierce with unwavering determination and bravery.
As the squad delved deeper into the town's devastation grew increasingly severe. Buildings lining the streets were nearly all collapsed; corpses covered the ground, blood staining it crimson while the air was thick with the smell of blood and decay. Each step felt overwhelmingly oppressive and terrifying.
"Everyone stay vigilant and be ready for battle!" Chen Hao ordered quietly, tension and worry flickering in his gaze.
A thick, malevolent aura began to envelop the entire town, seemingly omnipresent and suffocating. This dark energy was powerful and insurmountable, filling everyone's hearts with unease and fear.
Li Ming and Chen Yao walked at the front of the group, their heartbeats quickening, palms sweating, gripping their weapons tightly as they remained vigilant of their surroundings. They understood that this dark energy signified that greater dangers awaited them ahead.
Suddenly, they arrived at Town Square, where a damaged Fountain Statue stood in the center. Perched atop this statue was a burly man. He had a massive build, bulging muscles, and wore a cruel smile on his face. With one hand, he tossed a severed head while casually resting the other on the statue, coldly watching the group approach.
"It seems you finally made it," the man's voice was deep and hoarse, laced with mockery and disdain.
Li Ming and Chen Yao's hearts tightened; they gripped their weapons even tighter, determination and caution flashing in their eyes. The other soldiers quickly formed a defensive line, aiming their weapons at the man.
"Who are you?" Li Ming shouted, trying to mask his inner tension.
"Me? I'm just the master of toys," the man laughed heartily before tossing the severed head toward Li Ming.
Li Ming swiftly sidestepped to avoid it; the head rolled on the ground with a dull thud. When it came to a stop, Li Ming recognized it as the head of the Captain of the Second Squad, filled with pain and anger.
The man suddenly leaped down from the statue with great force, shaking the ground so violently that several soldiers stumbled and fell. Dust flew everywhere, creating chaos in the square. The man slowly rose, revealing a black dragon tattoo on his chest that shimmered with an eerie light, as if indicating his deep connection to the Black Dragon Gang.
"Hahahaha!" Feng Tianlong laughed loudly, his voice echoing like thunder across the square, his eyes glinting with cruelty. "You sent this bunch of pathetic fools to deal with me? Even Master Han isn't here; you just sent a moron wandering around with a Chaos Pearl... and a Hidden Clan Assassin... Hahaha, how laughable! I, Feng Tianlong, have been underestimated like this!"
Li Ming and Chen Yao exchanged glances filled with vigilance and tension. They knew that this man before them was no ordinary enemy; his power and threat far exceeded any opponent they had faced before.
"Who are you?" Li Ming shouted again, attempting to conceal his anxiety.
"I? I am your nightmare!" Feng Tianlong said coldly, his voice dripping with contempt. "Do you really think these people can stop our plans? Today, I will show you what true power looks like!"
"Everyone be careful, this person is extremely dangerous!" Chen Yao shouted, gripping his dagger tightly, ready to face the impending battle.
"No matter what we face, we will not back down!" Li Ming declared loudly, a glint of determination flashing in his eyes.
"Hahaha, how ridiculous!" Feng Tianlong laughed again, his body beginning to emanate a powerful dark Spiritual Energy. The ground trembled beneath them, and the air around grew increasingly cold. The dark Spiritual Energy spread rapidly like a tangible force, enveloping the entire square in an eerie gloom.
"Come on, let me see what you are capable of!" Feng Tianlong said coldly, swinging the massive axe in his hand as he charged toward Li Ming and his team.
The axe sliced through the air with a streak of black light, carrying immense force. Li Ming and Chen Yao quickly moved to meet it, their eyes filled with unwavering resolve and courage. They knew this was a life-and-death battle; no matter the difficulties they faced, they had to give their all to protect the city and complete this daunting mission.
"Let's go together; we can't let him succeed!" Li Ming shouted, his sword gleaming with cold light as he faced Feng Tianlong's attack.
"You ants are simply overestimating yourselves!" Feng Tianlong sneered as he brought his axe down heavily, instantly knocking back several soldiers. His strength was overwhelming; each attack carried an immense pressure that made it hard to breathe.
"Is this your strength? How disappointing!" Feng Tianlong taunted, his gaze sharp as he coldly surveyed Li Ming and Chen Yao. "You so-called heroes are nothing but a joke!"
Li Ming and Chen Yao gritted their teeth; they knew they had to give everything they had to confront this formidable foe. Li Ming concentrated all his Spiritual Energy and swung his sword at Feng Tianlong, trying to find a flaw in his defense.
"No matter how difficult it gets, we will not back down!" Li Ming shouted, determination shining in his eyes.
