After an afternoon of exquisite sleep, Yi Tianchen woke up around six o'clock. After taking care of his personal hygiene, he noticed that dinner time was approaching. Instead of logging into the game, he decided to call and order some delicious dishes—four main courses and a soup.
By now, the food had been delivered for nearly twenty minutes, yet Liu Yuhan and the others still hadn’t come out. Feeling helpless, Yi Tianchen pulled out his laptop and immediately logged onto the official website of Zero Era to catch up on the latest updates about the game.
However, one pressing issue troubled Yi Tianchen: his place of residence. Bloodshade Forest was several hundred kilometers away from the nearest Xiliang City, even in a straight line. Given the mountains and rivers in between, it was impossible to reach it on foot.
So, the question arose.
In a location so far from other players, did the concept of a faction system still hold any significance for Yi Tianchen?
With this thought, Yi Tianchen felt a wave of bitterness wash over him. He continued to browse the game’s official website for quite some time but found nothing of value. Just as he was feeling a bit lost, he suddenly heard a creak—the door opened, and Liu Yuhan was the first to step out of the room.
“Tianchen, after resting all afternoon, how do you feel?” Liu Yuhan approached with a smile. Upon seeing the exquisite dishes on the table, she exclaimed in surprise, “Mmm… Mushroom Braised Chicken, Sauerkraut Fish… Ah, these are all my favorites! Tianchen, you’ve worked hard!”
“I specifically ordered these for you!” Yi Tianchen replied with a grin.
As they spoke, Li Tielong came out next, followed by Mu Wanqing and finally Lin Yan. The three quickly gathered around the dining table, revealing their “hungry” expressions.
“Alright, let’s officially start eating!”
Everyone dug in, with Yi Tianchen naturally leading the way. From last night until now, according to normal eating habits, he had gone without two full meals!

Yi Tianchen was momentarily stunned. As the white light dissipated, standing before him was a towering general clad in Black Armor, exuding an imposing presence. The armor shimmered with a faint glow, and a blood-red cape billowed behind him without wind, revealing two cold eyes peering from beneath his helmet.

Notes: The lord stationed by the Blood Phantom Alliance at Thousand Wood Forest Camp, commanding 100 Undead Soldiers. Like a bolt of lightning, it instantly split the chaos. Yi Tianchen could hardly believe his eyes; the text description under the Identification Technique actually mentioned "Guarding Southern Wilderness City."
He quickly opened the map and was surprised to find that this so-called Thousand Wood Forest Camp was located thirty miles west of Southern Wilderness City, adjacent to the Black Forest. He could even see the brilliantly lit Southern Wilderness City through the gaps in the leaves.
"Hahaha... Truly, there is no absolute despair!" Yi Tianchen laughed heartily.
"Little one, are you longing for the moment when you can invade Southern Wilderness City?" Uke, the Lord of Thousand Wood Forest, placed a hand on the hilt of his sword and stepped forward. "However, our timing is not yet ripe. Human scouts are lurking right under our noses, intent on destroying our homeland."

Yi Tianchen was momentarily speechless, realizing he hadn't grasped the current situation at all! He quickly turned around to learn more from this lord.
The Thousand Wood Forest Camp was a territory automatically designated as belonging to the Undead Faction after the System update. It included 101 Undead soldiers, including Lord Uke, two of whom were quite special.
One was responsible for item storage, known as the warehouse manager; the other handled medicine sales, referred to as a mobile apothecary.
The remaining ninety-eight Undead were bona fide soldiers, clad in armor and wielding finely crafted long spears that glinted ominously. Flames flickered in their helmets, and between the gaps in their breastplates, one could even see their gorgeous white bones.
This was Yi Tianchen's home and companions.
After clarifying the general situation, Yi Tianchen immediately notified Liu Yuhan and others. As for that General's Tomb, it had already been discussed before going online; Liu Yuhan would gather other members at Grave Mound Mountain for further investigation to uncover what secrets lay hidden there.
With the official opening of the faction System, Southern Wilderness City no longer restricted Yi Tianchen's entry. Therefore, after sorting out the current basic situation, his first task was to venture into the General's Mansion once again to seek an explanation from Lord Dolan of Southern Wilderness City.
After storing the two pieces of equipment and the Skill Book that were revealed by Sharp Blade Camp and purchasing some potions with his gold coins, Yi Tianchen hurriedly rushed out of the camp. He dashed towards Southern Wilderness City as if he would miss out on the rewards if he delayed even a moment longer.

To Yi Tianchen's surprise, upon arriving at the West City Gate of Southern Wilderness City, he headed straight for the General's Mansion. To his astonishment, the guards who should have intercepted him turned a blind eye as he entered.
Confused and puzzled, Yi Tianchen continued deeper into the mansion, following a familiar path until he soon stepped into the grand hall and met Lord Dolan of South Wilderness City.
At that moment, two notifications suddenly rang out---
