With a clear purpose in mind, Yi Tianchen moved with remarkable speed. Nearly half an hour passed in the blink of an eye as he traversed a sparse forest from north to south, revealing before him a vast gorge formed by towering mountains.
The steep mountains on either side were densely covered with overlapping trees, creating a thick quilt of bushes across the surface of the terrain. Between the two mountains lay a depression that resembled a dry riverbed, winding and twisting into the distance, seemingly without end.
System Notification: Congratulations! You have discovered a new map: Ailan Gorge. You have gained 2000 experience points and an additional 200 reputation points!
"Reputation points!"
At the sound of the notification, Yi Tianchen was momentarily taken aback. Previously, when he discovered the Misty Forest, he had only received experience points. If there was any distinction between the two, it was that one represented an undiscovered area while the other was a System-designated Restricted Area.
Amidst his surprise, Yi Tianchen felt a surge of joy and quickened his pace into the gorge. The terrain here was relatively flat, aside from the occasional pit or scattered stones; small trees were the only embellishments along the way.
Continuing forward, within five minutes of exploration, Yi Tianchen finally encountered the natives of Ailan Gorge. Upon closer inspection, they were towering figures over two meters tall, their bodies wrapped in tattered cloth strips that left large areas of their dark skin exposed.
What astonished Yi Tianchen was that these creatures all had green eyes, glowing eerily as if they were covered in fine fur. In their hands, they wielded steel blades over a meter long, glinting coldly in the light.
"Green-Eyed Giant, Elite Monster, Level 50, Vitality 30,000, Attack 1950-2850. The native king of Ailan Gorge possesses innate brute strength; primary attack method: powerful burst damage to single targets with a high chance to stun."
"A Level 50 Elite Monster—its attack is indeed formidable!"
He sighed inwardly; given the attributes of this Green-Eyed Giant, few would dare to provoke it. However, Yi Tianchen's purpose here was to seek out bosses, and familiarizing himself with these monsters' attack patterns and strengths was essential.
Without hesitation, he raised an eyebrow and soared upward with Dragon's Roar.
"Rustling..."
As his battle boots struck the ground, countless blades of grass shattered beneath him. With leaves flying around him, Yi Tianchen approached at incredible speed while simultaneously unleashing a dark circle that spread rapidly beneath the lumbering Green-Eyed Giant.

As the skill took effect, the chosen Green-Eyed Giant paused in surprise. Turning its head, its two green eyes locked onto Yi Tianchen. It then let out a thunderous roar and charged forward with its Steel Blade raised high, its speed undiminished.
"Roar..."
The Steel Blade sliced through the air, leaving a trail of light at lightning speed, accompanied by a sharp whistle as it descended. The sheer force of it made one gasp in awe.

The glaring indicator shot up as Yi Tianchen had already dodged to the side, his Dragon's Roar sweeping horizontally, grazing the abdomen of the Green-Eyed Giant. After landing the first hit, he quickly executed a small arc and slid away, taking advantage of the Green-Eyed Giant's turn to strike again.
Hell Combo.
Crimson light spread across the broad blade of Dragon's Roar. After successfully landing the first strike, the subsequent attack followed closely, culminating in an upward slash that cut into the Green-Eyed Giant's jaw. With Yi Tianchen's immense strength behind it, the Green-Eyed Giant was forced to retreat immediately.
What an opportunity!
Yi Tianchen thought to himself as he surged forward, delivering a flurry of five consecutive strikes, each one hitting its mark. The momentum from his previous attacks added force to each blow, leaving the Green-Eyed Giant with no chance to retaliate.
Rhythm—this is what they call controlling the pace of battle!
By continuously attacking, he forced his target to lose balance while enduring damage, effectively putting it in a passive state. Not only could the target not evade, but its overall defense was also at its weakest. At this moment, as long as he controlled the situation well, a clean kill was entirely within reach.

Having fallen behind right from the start was not something the Green-Eyed Giant would accept easily. It roared in anger and swung its Steel Blade, disrupting Yi Tianchen's assault and granting itself a rare moment to breathe.

Not daring to be careless, Yi Tianchen refrained from pressing his advantage. Instead, he utilized his agility to weave around as the Green-Eyed Giant shifted positions. In no time, he reached behind it and delivered another sharp slash with great force.
Having failed to counterattack consecutively, the Green-Eyed Giant was now furious. As it roared and swung its Steel Blade with relentless precision, even Yi Tianchen could only see a series of cold glimmers—beautiful yet deadly—like falling stars in their brilliance.

Glancing at the remaining Health Points of the Green-Eyed Giant, Yi Tianchen felt his palms tighten. With a surge of determination, he continued to maneuver, launching a flurry of attacks that struck the Green-Eyed Giant with the force of a tempest. The creature howled in pain, and despite several counterattacks, it either missed or blocked his strikes.
"Very good! Now... you can die."
Yi Tianchen smiled confidently. The Green-Eyed Giant's Health Points were dwindling, clearly on the brink of defeat. Any further struggle was merely a formality. After taking a few more sword strikes, the Green-Eyed Giant let out a pitiful cry.

"Not bad for experience!"
Yi Tianchen chuckled, casting a glance at the fallen Green-Eyed Giant. He bent down and picked up four gold coins that had dropped from the grass, weighing them in his hand; they felt quite substantial.
"Next up is you!"
Turning around, Yi Tianchen smiled slightly, his gaze already fixed on another Green-Eyed Giant not far away. As he spoke with authority, he swung his Dragon's Roar behind him and charged forward.
