"Eighth Person?"
Hearing Yi Tianchen's unexpected yet certain words, both The Terminator of Regrets and Not a Master were taken aback, a hint of disbelief flickering in their eyes. Clearly, there were only seven people present; how could there suddenly be an eighth? Who was this Eighth Person, and where were they hiding?
Yi Tianchen suddenly had this thought for three reasons.
First, although the Three Major Guilds surrounded the area, their mutual checks and balances meant they would not act hastily, providing the other two Guilds with a reason to intervene. This created the necessary conditions for the Seven People to whittle down the BOSS to its last bits of health.
Second, the control of Rage. Yi Tianchen's earlier speculation about the archer in Fifth Position turned out to be quite logical; they were essentially providing double insurance for the BOSS's Rage. If the Vitality dropped below 10% and the chance to trigger failed, the Five Hit Combo would undoubtedly activate Rage.
Third, the element of surprise. This was the core of the entire strategy and a direct guarantee of whether it could be successfully implemented. By unexpectedly pushing the BOSS—this hot potato—onto one of the Guilds, chaos could be created on-site.
With these three points in mind, Yi Tianchen quickly clarified his thoughts and logically proposed the existence of this "Eighth Person."
How could this person exist?
The intention was already clear: taking advantage of the Three Guilds' reluctance to act hastily, they would wear down the BOSS to trigger its Rage. If that failed, there was still the archer in Fifth Position ready to trigger a Five Hit Combo with 100% certainty.
In other words, it was a foregone conclusion that the BOSS would enter Rage.
Once in Rage, its aggro would become erratic. If any of the Seven People chose one of the Guilds as a target, they would inevitably become that Guild's focus of fire. Conversely, if the Seven People became targets themselves, did that not mean that the BOSS would be spared from attack?
Once the BOSS went on a rampage, how could the other two watching Guilds stand by? Thus, a full-blown melee would ensue. Moreover, since there was only one BOSS, it would naturally prioritize eliminating its opponents while in Rage Status.
It was evident that at this moment, the BOSS had already been isolated. If someone were to attack from the shadows, catching everyone off guard while the BOSS was already low on health, their chances of success would be significantly high—especially with someone else providing support on-site.
And that person was none other than Yi Tianchen's so-called Eighth Person!

Southern Wilderness City, Central Square.
The entire acquisition operation lasted nearly two hours. During these two hours, Liu Yuhan and her eight companions managed to acquire materials worth 3,000 gold coins. Although the game had fully launched, it was still early in its stages; thus, material demand was far less than supply, which helped drive prices down.
Therefore, even though Liu Yuhan promised that the initial transaction price would increase by 10 percent over the market price, it still seemed relatively low compared to the later material prices. Materials, after all, are something that will never depreciate; the more, the better.
However, in the early stages of material acquisition, Liu Yuhan's approach was quite bold compared to many other Guilds. Mist of Time had only recently been established and had yet to solidify its combat strength, let alone its crafting professions. Such a large-scale acquisition and commitment was indeed a risk.
Typically, a studio prioritizes developing combat strength from its establishment to registering as a Guild. As a great leader once said many years ago, "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun." Without a sufficiently strong combat force as a foundation and guarantee, the development of a Guild will inevitably be limited.
From the perspective of crafting profession players, what they seek is also a studio that guarantees strong battle capabilities. It is well known that in the wild, there is never a shortage of competition for various materials; the strong oppress the weak has been true since ancient times.
However, among the choices available to crafting profession players, two crucial factors stand out: first is the reserve of various materials within the Guild; second is the sales of their own products. Insufficient raw materials make it difficult or impossible to sell manufactured products, which is undoubtedly the most fatal issue for crafting profession players.
Thus, it can be seen that Liu Yuhan's acquisition action has an undeniable gap. With the mercenary group newly established and not fully forming a combat team, how can they safeguard their future promotion to Guild status? This is a problem that must be considered and resolved.
But...
As someone with three years of experience in Guild formation and management, would Liu Yuhan really be unaware of this?

"She is digging her own grave!"
In King's Guild, many held this opinion. From the moment they learned that Liu Yuhan and others were aggressively acquiring materials, it became a unified understanding. Even King’s Eternal, the Vice President, merely frowned for a moment before accepting this notion.
"She can't be that foolish; there must be some conspiracy behind this!"
Zeng Jian slammed his hand on the table, his eyes filled with an indescribable struggle. Liu Yuhan had once been the Vice President of King's Guild, and Zeng Jian had every confidence that there was something hidden behind this acquisition action.
But what exactly was it? Zeng Jian currently had no way of knowing.
In contrast, Divine Silence Dust Fate, who was also observing Mist of Time, sensed something unusual from this acquisition action.
"Could it be that our people have been suspected? Is this some sort of deliberate act? But what benefit would that bring them?"
"It’s impossible. The people we sent in this time were all from civilian backgrounds, with no prior experience. There’s no way they could be suspected so quickly."
"Then tell me, what is the purpose of 'Light Cold Evening Snow'?"
"I... I don’t know for now."
As veteran members of the Divine Silence Guild, Divine Silence Breeze and Shenji Mingyue expressed great surprise and confusion over Liu Yuhan's sudden acquisition actions, but soon they delved into a discussion filled with differing opinions, yet they still couldn't reach a unified conclusion.
"Mist of Time, this is bound to be a tricky opponent!" Divine Silence Dust Fate sighed, causing both Divine Silence Breeze and Shenji Mingyue to shudder.
"President, have you already understood the intentions behind 'Light Cold Evening Snow'?" Shenji Mingyue asked.
Divine Silence Dust Fate smiled slightly without elaborating, but a hint of mystery and severity flashed in his eyes as he softly inquired, "How is the progress on the guild's reputation?"
"It’s not going very smoothly. The members responsible for reputation are searching for bosses every day, but their results have been poor. Accumulating ten thousand points of reputation is really too much," Divine Silence Breeze replied with some bitterness. The reputation gained from defeating a single boss is not substantial, and accumulating ten thousand points is indeed a time-consuming task.
"Let’s hope... he won’t get ahead of us!"
