"Draw the monsters? Or is more better?"
Li Tielong paused for a moment, but quickly understood Yi Tianchen's intention. With this realization, he felt invigorated and was about to respond when he heard Hero Does Not Question Origin and Not a Master almost in unison say, "We'll go draw the monsters too, haha..."
Clearly, these two had also grasped Yi Tianchen's plan right away. Liu Yuhan smiled slightly, turning back to shoot a few arrows while saying, "Be careful. Draw the monsters quickly, split into three directions to surround them, and let's take them all out at once!"
"That sounds great!"
The three were overjoyed, and as they agreed, they dashed off like they were covered in oil, as if they would lose track of the monsters if they delayed even a moment longer.
On the other side, as Rage time ended, the Dark Magic Tree Demon King immediately fell into a weakened state, deflating like a punctured balloon. Upon seeing this, everyone erupted in cheers and immediately began launching Fireballs at it.
Death Entanglement Lv-2! Blade Break Slash Lv-2! Hell Combo Lv-1!
At the same time, Yi Tianchen veered off and charged directly at the Dark Magic Tree Demon King. With several high damage numbers popping up in succession, the Dark Magic Tree Demon King's aggro was instantly locked onto Yi Tianchen. The damage dealt by the mages paled in comparison to Yi Tianchen's.
"Roar..."
The Dark Magic Tree Demon King continued to roar and swung its Wolf Fang Club at Yi Tianchen. Thus, Yi Tianchen led the Dark Magic Tree Demon King forward while a group of mages chased after it. However, it was clear that Yi Tianchen was the one truly controlling the situation.
Because of this, Yi Tianchen attracted most of the firepower. Fireballs whizzed past him and exploded around him; if it weren't for the System's specific settings, the Black Magic Forest would have long been engulfed in flames.
Meanwhile, Liu Yuhan took advantage of the situation to launch her own attacks. The accuracy of archers far surpassed that of mages, and with her sharp speed—especially after reaching level 30 and gaining stealth—dealing with these low-health and low-defense cloth armor classes was not only easy but also had an element of cruelty to it.
However, soon enough, some shifted their focus and began to concentrate fire on Liu Yuhan. Yet they overlooked a critical factor: while both mages and archers engaged from a distance, their speed and accuracy were not on the same level—it was practically akin to seeking punishment.
Moreover, Liu Yuhan was a skilled player on the leaderboard; as she moved with precision and unleashed powerful shots, every arrow seemed deadly. Everyone could only see a graceful figure darting like the wind ahead of them, unable to catch her while occasionally taking a hit or two that left them barely standing.
This situation continued for several minutes until someone finally recognized the undeniable gap between them. Several mages redirected their efforts and stopped engaging Liu Yuhan to continue pursuing Yi Tianchen instead. For them, dealing with Yi Tianchen was much easier than with Liu Yuhan.
Under the strange, towering tree, Grassroots Crow suddenly revived, but his first words after coming back to life were filled with disbelief and turmoil: "MLGBD, Falling Leaves, that kid is actually the First Person on the Level leaderboard? What the hell!"
This revelation came from players who had previously attacked Yi Tianchen. Knowing Yi Tianchen's true identity was not good news for Grassroots Crow. Faced with the aura of the First Person on the Level leaderboard, he found himself deeply conflicted about whether to fight or not.
However, there were now fewer than ten players standing beside Grassroots Crow. This meant that aside from those who had died and not revived, there were still twenty or thirty players chasing after Yi Tianchen and his group, and whether they were being killed or not remained uncertain.
"President, what should we do? This enemy seems a bit too much for us!" someone reminded him.
Hearing this, Grassroots Crow wore a bitter expression, his heart tangled in confusion. The situation had unfolded too suddenly; not only was the truth beyond his comprehension, but the specific outcome was also developing in a direction he found hard to accept.
"Let's catch up and see what’s going on."
After a moment of hesitation, Grassroots Crow couldn't make a final decision. However, his words were clear enough: they would first assess the situation and decide based on what they found. If things looked favorable for them, they could strike; otherwise, they would just let it be.
With that said, under Grassroots Crow's lead, the remaining Mage Players surged forward in pursuit of Yi Tianchen and his group, shouting various taunts at them along the way.
After nearly three minutes of chasing, Grassroots Crow's group finally spotted Yi Tianchen in the distance. They saw him alone leading the weakened Dark Magic Tree Demon King around while a dozen mages relentlessly attacked, most of their spells missing their target.
"President, the BOSS has entered a weakened status; we can't let this kid take such a big advantage!" one player said through gritted teeth, his gaze clearly hostile.
Another quickly agreed: "Exactly! We have an absolute advantage right now. This kid used our brothers' hatred to draw in the BOSS's rage and took down ten or twenty of our guys; we can't just let it go like this."
"That's right; we absolutely cannot let it go like this," everyone shouted in unison.
Grassroots Crow furrowed his brow. Seeing that they indeed held an advantage stirred his emotions. At this moment, Yi Tianchen's group was isolated and scattered, making it difficult for them to pose a significant threat to his ranged class. With the Dark Magic Tree Demon King as a distraction, it was truly a golden opportunity.
"Kill!"
At this command from Grassroots Crow, several Mage Players immediately charged forward. Once they entered the effective range of their skills, a series of obscure incantations rose into the air—Fireball, Lightning Bolt, Frost Spell, and several other abilities were instantly hurled toward Yi Tianchen.
"Good, I was afraid you wouldn't come!"
A cold smile crept across Yi Tianchen's heart as he continued to weave left and right through the forest, luring the Dark Magic Tree Demon King into a depression. It was described as a depression, but it was merely a lower area; in the context of the entire forest, it was just a pit on flat ground.
"Kill! Avenge our fallen brothers!" The crowd continued to shout.
Watching Yi Tianchen from afar, Grassroots Crow felt an inexplicable sense of unease rising within him. Ever since he learned about Yi Tianchen's identity, he had been burdened with an unshakeable feeling of dread, especially now as he observed Yi Tianchen skillfully taunting the Dark Magic Tree Demon King.
Suddenly, screams erupted from the surrounding woods. Having spent half a day immersed in the Black Magic Forest, Grassroots Crow knew all too well that these screams were coming from the Dark Magic Imps.
Turning his head to look, Grassroots Crow's heart sank. A massive swarm of Dark Magic Imps was surging toward the center like a tide—thick and dark, numbering in the dozens or even hundreds. The sight resembled a locust swarm passing through, enough to terrify anyone with a weak heart.
"Damn! This move is truly a conspiracy! Ruthless, really ruthless!"
