"Hahaha... Want to blame someone? Here they come!"
Li Tielong's excited voice still echoed, while Yi Tianchen and the others were thinking of giving him a good beating before dealing with these small monsters. Looking at the densely packed Dark Magic Imps in front of them, it truly reminded them of the old saying: once you attract attention, it can be overwhelming!
"Line up and go for a wave!" Yi Tianchen ordered.
Upon hearing this, Liu Yuhan and the others had mixed feelings about the tactic. A wave strategy relies heavily on guiding and gathering the Monster Horde, which they had already accomplished. Next, they needed a strong tank to draw fire, and Li Tielong was more than capable of that.

"Damn! They're using a wave strategy to farm monsters!" one person shouted.
"What are you shouting about? I see it," said Grassroots Crow, his eyes wide as he stared at Yi Tianchen and the others from beneath a dead tree. He smugly added, "See? I told you there was something fishy going on. A wave strategy... Who can pull that off? No one! Damn it, that's true skill!"
"And have you noticed their numbers? They came with ten people, but now there are only eight left. Two assassins are missing; they're probably watching us. Maybe those two assassins are lurking right beside us," Grassroots Crow continued.
"President, what should we do? They just contacted us, saying if we can stop them from completing their mission, we'll get double the commission once it's done," someone said cautiously.
"Double?"
Grassroots Crow frowned but quickly relaxed, chuckling as he said, "So what if it's a wave strategy? So what if they're skilled? As long as we take down the boss, won't they have worked for nothing? Pass the word down; tell the brothers to guard the boss spawn point and be ready to strike."
A group of people moved stealthily, already considering Yi Tianchen and his team as easy prey. Meanwhile, Yi Tianchen's figure flickered as he moved unpredictably, always leading the monsters by their noses. He jumped left and slid right, with Dragon's Roar shimmering with golden light, each strike sending blood flying.
Behind Yi Tianchen, Hero Does Not Question Origin, Not a Master, and Stinky Fish were particularly enthusiastic. Their weapons swung frequently as they followed Yi Tianchen's path of slaughter. Through their teamwork, they quickly cleared a small area of monsters, gaining experience points at an impressive rate.
At the back, Liu Yuhan continued to unleash a carpet of powerful ranged attacks. Due to her distance advantage, her arrows flew faster than anyone else's, consistently hitting targets before Yi Tianchen could and drawing the monsters' aggro first.
With the monsters' attention shifting to Liu Yuhan almost immediately, Yi Tianchen and his frontline companions gained safe conditions for their kills. Before the Monster Horde could close in on Liu Yuhan too much, they fell one after another at their feet—killing efficiency was remarkably high!
After about ten minutes of battling this large group of small monsters stirred up by Li Tielong, they were finally defeated. Yi Tianchen and his team were utterly exhausted, leaning against trees while gasping for breath and occasionally shooting Li Tielong deadly glares.
Li Tielong couldn't help but shiver all over as he looked up at the sky. "The weather is nice today!"
Yi Tianchen smiled lightly and asked Liu Yuhan, "The target number should have been reached, right?"
"It's already exceeded by 43!" Liu Yuhan replied, pausing for a moment before adding, "They are already in action. Shouldn't we discuss a strategy as well?"
"President, Fallen Wood Boss, I'm a bit puzzled. Why aren't these guys coming to find us? What are they doing huddled together over there? What kind of action is this?" Hero Does Not Question Origin glanced at the nearby area, which was occupied by numerous Mage Players from the Grassroots Heroes Association.
Yi Tianchen smiled slightly. "Their goal is to steal our BOSS, and they clearly know where the BOSS will respawn."
Hero Does Not Question Origin was taken aback. "I understand now. The place they are guarding is where the BOSS will respawn, right?"
"Correct."
Yi Tianchen stepped forward a few paces and frowned slightly. "It seems this will be a tough battle! Everyone, get moving and don't give them any opportunities. Magic classes are our nemesis; if they seize the chance, it could be a fatal threat to us."
"How do we get moving against the Fallen Wood Boss?" Not a Master asked.
Liu Yuhan took over the conversation. "Zero Era is different from traditional games; magic classes don't have targeting. Although their damage output is high, their hit rate isn't very good. We can keep moving and use the trees for cover to prevent them from locking onto us."
Everyone nodded when suddenly a voice shouted from ahead, "BOSS! The BOSS has respawned!"
Upon hearing this, Yi Tianchen and the others looked up to see a blinding white light rising, followed by a roar that shook the mountains and forests. In less than ten seconds, a strange creature appeared—jet black with a tuft of green leaves on its head, wielding a spiked Wolf Fang Club.
"This is the Dark Magic Tree Demon King?" Li Tielong exclaimed.
"Hahaha... Brothers, it's time to get to work." Another loud shout came from Grassroots Crow standing under the large tree. With that command, over a dozen Mage Players immediately launched an attack on the Dark Magic Tree Demon King, unleashing a barrage of sizzling Fireballs.
Yi Tianchen glanced around; the enemy's formation was already set up with fifteen mages forming a firepower blockade circle around the Dark Magic Tree Demon King, who had just respawned within their firing range. Meanwhile, Grassroots Crow and the remaining thirty-one Mage Players were taking a wait-and-see approach.
"This time we act individually but with a unified goal: to disrupt their offensive formation," Yi Tianchen said with a serious expression. He then turned to Stinky Fish and asked, "Stinky Fish, do you have any spare swords? The more useless, the better!"
A moment of confusion passed as Stinky Fish quickly checked the package, pulling out a rusty, battered iron sword. "This... is a beginner's sword..."
"Haha... you're still keeping this thing?" Yi Tianchen laughed heartily, instantly recognizing it as the new player weapon given by the System to Swordsman Players upon entering the game, known as the Rusty Iron Sword. He took it and swung it casually, praising, "Good, this thing is just perfect."
"..."
Once again speechless, not only Stinky Fish but even Liu Yuhan and the others wore expressions of surprise and confusion. What was he thinking? At a time like this, why would he choose to mess around with a beginner's sword instead of using the top-ranked Dragon's Roar from the Equipment List?
Yi Tianchen smiled without explaining, a mysterious glint appearing in his eyes as he instructed, "Prepare to move out. Be careful."
"You be careful too," Liu Yuhan replied helplessly. Since he was unwilling to elaborate, they could only wait for action. But deep down, she understood that Yi Tianchen was up to something again, and any scheme would naturally involve risks—risks that could even lead to being knocked out.
Nodding slightly, Yi Tianchen moved forward.
