Immediately after, Yi Tianchen dashed forward. Taking advantage of the Scruffy Wolf’s momentary instability, he brought down his Serpent Shadow Sword with precision, striking hard against the wolf's spine. However, the hardness of its bones caused a slight numbness in his hands.

In an instant, the struck Scruffy Wolf glowed with a green light as six damage numbers popped up in succession, causing a significant chunk of its Health Points to vanish.

Yi Tianchen paused for a moment. "It's you!"
He dashed forward, suddenly halting his steps, executing a sharp left turn to evade the Scruffy Wolf's first attack—MISS!
Sliding past, he swiftly countered with an upward thrust of his sword.

The Scruffy Wolf immediately retaliated, swinging its front paws with the intent to tear Yi Tianchen apart. But by then, Yi Tianchen had already slipped away, deftly moving to the wolf's rear. He thrust his sword into the center of the wolf's raised hindquarters.
Yi Tianchen froze for a moment. "Oh no, I struck the wrong spot!"
Sure enough, the Scruffy Wolf shot him a resentful glance that sent a shiver down his spine, nearly causing him to drop the Snake Shadow Sword in his hand.
"Slash..."
Unfazed, Yi Tianchen swung his sword, blood splattering as a notification rang in his ears—

"Finally level 10!" Yi Tianchen let out a long breath as he heard the notification.
Reaching level 10 meant that Yi Tianchen had finally earned the qualification to leave the novice village. However, before he could do so, he needed to return and find the legendary Elder Villager. He had to complete a trial mission to obtain the Courage Trial Certificate in order to successfully join any Main City.
After picking up a Copper Coin, Yi Tianchen started running back, carefully avoiding any monsters in several Monster Zones along the way. For him, the most important thing right now was to quickly obtain the Courage Trial Certificate and head to the city to learn new skills. Once he had skills, leveling up his Speed would become much easier.
Upon returning to the small village, Yi Tianchen used the local mini-map to directly locate the village chief. The chief was an old man who looked to be in his seventies or eighties, with a long white beard, standing at the center of the village and kindly watching every player that passed by.
"Chief, I want to leave this place!" Yi Tianchen approached and got straight to the point.
Seeing Yi Tianchen, the chief was momentarily taken aback, but then his eyes lit up as he nodded and chuckled, "Young adventurer, your growth has proven your strength. "Just tell me what it is; I can do it!" Before the Elder Villager could finish speaking, Yi Tianchen interrupted. The Elder Villager was too long-winded; it was clear he was just trying to introduce the mission, so why not get straight to it?
"Haha, good! Before we begin, you can decide on the difficulty of the trial you wish to accept!" The Elder Villager stroked his beard thoughtfully and said, "There are four levels of difficulty: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Legendary. What difficulty will you choose?"
