Enemies crossing paths, it was truly a case of enemies crossing paths!
Yi Tianchen felt a wave of speechlessness wash over him. The figures that appeared were none other than the leaders of the King's Guild: Zeng Jian, King's Eternal, Overlord Batyen, and Invincible King.
"Heh, I didn't expect to see you again so soon!" Yi Tianchen smiled slightly and greeted them, provoking Zeng Jian and his group to glare at him with eyes wide open, wishing they could tear him apart right then and there.
However, this was the Identification Center, a genuine Restricted Area where they couldn't act recklessly. Yi Tianchen was well aware of this. Not to mention Zeng Jian and his three companions; even if a hundred more people showed up, he wouldn't have to worry at all—if only this cramped Identification Center could fit a hundred people.
"Yi Tianchen, don't get too cocky. You managed to slip away last time, but let's see where you can run now!" Zeng Jian's face darkened as he fixed his fiery gaze on Yi Tianchen and ominously declared, "I don’t believe you can stay in the Identification Center for a lifetime!"
"Oh really? Then let's have a contest and see who has more patience!" Yi Tianchen coldly retorted before ignoring them and turning to the Appraiser. "Ahem, um... it's quite crowded here; it's not very convenient!"
Although Yi Tianchen was speaking to the Appraiser in front of him, he deliberately raised his voice. Zeng Jian and his group exchanged puzzled glances, but before they could comprehend what was happening, the Appraiser's next words nearly dropped their jaws to the floor.
"Well then, let's talk inside!" The Appraiser glanced at Zeng Jian and the others, called out to Yi Tianchen, flipped over the golden sign on the counter, and walked into the back room.
Yi Tianchen smiled slightly, turned back to Zeng Jian and the others with a provocative gesture, and then stepped into the back room. Moments later, an incredulous roar erupted from outside.
"What the hell? Closed for business? What kind of nonsense is this?"
"What... what is going on here?"
"Damn it! I’m going to file a complaint... I absolutely must file a complaint!"
Not bothering to pay attention to the commotion outside, Yi Tianchen was unexpectedly surprised to find that this small back room was quite extraordinary. Although it wasn't very large, it was neatly arranged with two wooden shelves displaying an array of peculiar items.
Though Yi Tianchen had no idea what those things were, he had every reason to believe that these collectibles were anything but ordinary!
"Bring it out!" The Appraiser sat down on a chair and looked at Yi Tianchen as he spoke.
"Mm!" Yi Tianchen responded, pulling out the sealed bow.
"What a treasure, what a treasure!" With just one glance, the Appraiser suddenly stood up from his chair. After taking the bow from Yi Tianchen's hands, he caressed it lovingly, murmuring repeatedly, "It's just a pity that it has suffered significant damage!"
Feeling the excitement in the Appraiser's voice, Yi Tianchen's heart soared. What could possibly be so extraordinary that it would excite an expert who had seen countless treasures?
"Master, do you know this bow?" Yi Tianchen asked eagerly, his voice trembling slightly.
"I don't know anything about bows or arrows; I only know this is a precious item!" The Appraiser chuckled.
"I'm stunned!"
Yi Tianchen nearly blacked out for a moment. It suddenly dawned on him that although he was an appraiser who had seen countless treasures, he was not an archer. In his eyes, the category of treasures was simply too broad.
"Master, can you break the seal on this bow?" Yi Tianchen asked again with hope, as this was his only breakthrough at the moment.
"Tsk tsk... No!" The Appraiser decisively replied with two words and then added, "However, based on my years of experience with treasures, this bow is definitely not an ordinary item!"
"Not... not an ordinary item?" Yi Tianchen struggled to escape from the Appraiser's helpless "no," feeling his words get tangled as he questioned, "Not ordinary? Could it be a divine artifact?"
The Appraiser stroked his grizzled beard, his gaze intense: "Absolutely!"
"Uh..."
Yi Tianchen sat there dumbfounded, gasping for breath. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
A divine artifact!
What is a divine artifact? That's the pinnacle of equipment in the hierarchy!
As any player would, facing such a scene would be hard to resist. Moreover, this was on the very first day of the game!
No! To be precise, it was five hours, thirty-eight minutes, and seven seconds into the official start of the game!
"An artifact on the first day? This has never happened in Online Game!" Yi Tianchen stood there, muttering to himself, his shock erupting like a volcano, uncontrollable and overwhelming.
But soon, he snapped out of his astonishment and began to ponder a question. From the Appraiser's words, he had received a very certain answer: the bow in his hands was indeed extraordinary. However, the words "sealed" weighed heavily on his heart like a mountain.
Whether from past experiences or personal speculation, anything marked with this label was bound to have a legendary story behind it. As for how to unseal it, that was filled with twists and turns, even fleeting opportunities.
"Master, is there really no way?" He lifted his head and once again fixed his gaze on the elderly Appraiser before him, a surge of eager anticipation rising within him.
"Well," the Appraiser pondered for a moment before slapping the table. "There is a way, but I can't guarantee it will work!"
"What is it?" At that moment, Yi Tianchen felt like he had been adrift at sea for three days and nights when suddenly he spotted a small island not far ahead; his eyes filled with burning hope.
"Um, I have an old friend named Kahn. He's a blacksmith who has made some achievements in the field of weapon forging; he might give you some hints. It's just..." The Appraiser's tone darkened as he shook his head. "It's just that the last time I saw him was three hundred years ago; I don't know if he's still alive!"
"Three hundred years?" Yi Tianchen was taken aback, sighing at how long-lived these old men were. He then asked, "If he's still around, where can I find him?"
"I don't know. The Dreamland Continent is vast and boundless; after three hundred years apart, I have no idea where he might be now." The Appraiser sighed heavily as he spoke.
"Moreover, my blacksmith friend has a bit of a temper and doesn't like dealing with strangers. If you ever find him, please send my regards. Just tell him that his old friend, the Appraiser he hasn't seen in three hundred years, misses those Wasteland Years!"
"Wasteland Years?"
Yi Tianchen felt speechless; hearing the first half of the sentence was like falling into an ice pit, while the second half seemed to grasp at a glimmer of hope.
These four words were clearly an obscure term; however, what they represented remained unknown to Yi Tianchen at that moment.
After listening to the Appraiser's words, Yi Tianchen suddenly realized that the Appraiser seemed to have aged a decade in an instant, his murky eyes reflecting a sense of helplessness towards the vicissitudes of life.
Thus, he did not ask any further questions.
"Thank you, Teacher! I will remember everything!" Yi Tianchen said solemnly, bowing at a ninety-degree angle while gazing at the Appraiser.
"Alright, you can go out now. I need to rest for a bit!"
"Please rest assured, I'll handle those people outside!" Yi Tianchen chuckled, a hint of mischief flashing in his eyes.

After bidding farewell to the Appraiser, Yi Tianchen stepped out of the back room and stood directly at the counter, swiftly flipping over the "Closed for Business" sign.
"Damn, finally out! Seriously! Even NPCs can be lazy!" complained a newly arrived player impatiently.
"What? He's a player!" Zeng Jian glared at Yi Tianchen, still shocked by what he had just witnessed. How could a player act like this?
"Is this kid out of his mind?" another player who didn't recognize Yi Tianchen grumbled. "He's a player? You look more like a player!"
"MD, I am a player!" Zeng Jian couldn't help but roar back, while the followers of King's Eternal were already caught up in the chaos.
"Hey, hey, hey! Are you guys going to appraise or not? If not, I'm clocking out!" Seeing them bicker endlessly, Yi Tianchen slapped the counter and shouted.
"I'll appraise! I'll appraise!" A player shot Zeng Jian a glare and approached the counter with a grin, placing a pair of shoes on it. "Big brother, please appraise this Fine Iron Weapon for me!"
"I'll appraise you an artifact instead!" Yi Tianchen said with a speechless smile, teasing him.
"Hey, that would be even better!" The newcomer continued unabashedly.
Yi Tianchen's expression turned serious. "Enough nonsense, the appraisal fee is 10 Silver Coins!"
"What... is it really that expensive? Sir, could you... maybe lower the price a bit?" The newcomer looked at Yi Tianchen with hopeful eyes, forcing the words out.
"Heh, dear player, if you agree to lower the item's Grade, I would be more than happy to appraise it for free!" Yi Tianchen mimicked the tone of an Appraiser, and he did it quite convincingly.
However, he truly had no ability to lower the Grade. The price he quoted was just a random figure, completely a matter of willingness to take or leave.
The player’s eyes widened as he caught on to Yi Tianchen's implication. With a pained expression, he promptly tossed out 10 Silver Coins.
Yi Tianchen was momentarily taken aback; it seemed this guy was quite wealthy after all!
After accepting the Silver Coins, and under the eager gaze of the player, Yi Tianchen began preparing for the appraisal. Meanwhile, Zeng Jian and the others looked on with skepticism and astonishment, clearly eager to see what would unfold.
"Damn it, I want to see what tricks he can pull off!"
