Before long, Yi Tianchen entered the territory of the Cunning Ring Serpent. Hearing the sharp shouts behind him, countless thoughts flashed through his mind, and he quickly made up his mind. He began to run while searching around but found nothing of interest.
Continuing to sprint through the Bush, after an unknown amount of time, Yi Tianchen suddenly shouted in alarm as a hint of urgency appeared in his eyes. Beneath his feet, a deep pit had unexpectedly opened up. At that moment, as Yi Tianchen leaped into the air, he found no place to land and fell into the pit that was four or five meters deep with a loud crash.
"Damn it!"
Unable to hold back a curse, Yi Tianchen felt a surge of anger. At such a critical moment, falling into a pit was truly an inauspicious start!
But soon, Yi Tianchen's eyes lit up with excitement as he spotted something ahead. In front of him was a cave over a meter wide. Pulling out his map for a look, Yi Tianchen couldn't help but laugh heartily; this was exactly the entrance to the Snake Den he had been searching for!
During his earlier run, Yi Tianchen had been looking for this entrance to the Snake Den. With so many pursuers behind him, he knew that simply running aimlessly would not give him much chance to shake them off. However, he could lead them into the Snake Den.
Now armed with the map given by the Appraiser and fully aware of the specific layout of the Cunning Ring Serpent within the Snake Den, Yi Tianchen could easily use them against his pursuers.
Perhaps he could even leverage the power of King's Guild to eliminate the Cunning Ring Serpent King!
Unfortunately, there were no signs anywhere in this Vast Forest, which made Yi Tianchen feel somewhat anxious. Just then, an accidental misstep sent him directly to the entrance of the Snake Den. It truly was a case of finding something without searching for it!
"Quick! That kid is down there! I saw him jump!" A player's excited shout rang out from above as if all credit for this discovery belonged solely to him.
Yi Tianchen looked up and through the dense branches and leaves; indeed, he could see a player calling out to others. With a slight smile, Yi Tianchen turned and dove into the Snake Den. After opening the map and confirming the safest route, he quickened his pace.
I must say that aside from its commendable human-like settings for NPCs, Zero Era has done an impressive job creating underground spaces or closed maps. Even though Yi Tianchen was in an underground cave during daytime, visibility remained quite good.
According to information on Zero Era's official website: this type of map changes with time; if it were night now, the cave would be engulfed in darkness!
Soon enough, about five minutes had passed. By this time, Yi Tianchen had already traversed at least one hundred meters along the cave.
However, since this was a muddy tunnel deep underground, the ground beneath Yi Tianchen's feet became extremely slippery. If he wasn't careful, he could easily fall. Gritting his teeth, Yi Tianchen proceeded slowly; had he known it would be such a dreadful place from the start, perhaps he wouldn't have come at all!
After walking a few dozen meters, Yi Tianchen was pleasantly surprised to discover a vast and empty underground space before him, measuring as large as a basketball court!
Moreover, countless vines climbed up the muddy walls, filled with lush green leaves. About thirty meters above, the cave's ceiling loomed, where numerous roots of surface vegetation hung down, allowing faint rays of light to filter through.
Yi Tianchen was slightly astonished and quickly pulled out his map. Glancing at it, he couldn't help but feel a surge of joy; he had now stood in the most densely populated area of the Cunning Ring Serpent. In other words, this place was about to become a battlefield—no, it should be called a graveyard, a burial ground for the King's Guild!
According to the markings on the map, Yi Tianchen soon found several Cunning Ring Serpents among the dense vines. However, to his surprise, these Cunning Ring Serpents appeared not only extremely lethargic but also significantly smaller. As he locked onto a target, its attributes immediately surfaced---

"So they are just cubs!" Yi Tianchen exhaled in relief but soon revealed a wicked smile as an evil plan began to form in his mind.
The densely distributed Cunning Ringed Serpent Cubs before him were non-aggressive due to their lazy nature; as long as they were not provoked, they posed no threat. However, once stirred, countless cubs could instantly transform into formidable killers.
Yet at that moment, Yi Tianchen faced a significant challenge!
These Cunning Ringed Serpent Cubs were all clinging to the air, using the vines and roots to secure themselves while dangling about ten meters above the ground. What Yi Tianchen needed to do was bring the Cunning Ringed Serpent Cubs down from their perch—after the members of the King's Guild entered.
Thus, Yi Tianchen had to devise a method that ensured his safety while maximizing the number of Cunning Ringed Serpent Cubs he could bring down to attack the incoming players from the King's Guild.
After carefully observing his surroundings for a moment, Yi Tianchen immediately thought of a rather simple solution.
Yi Tianchen grabbed a vine and swiftly climbed up, carefully tying it to the vine where the Cunning Ringed Serpent Cub was resting. He then placed the vine at the entrance of the hall, about fifteen centimeters off the ground. With the entire vine dragging a considerable amount of mud, it was hardly noticeable when laid on the ground.
After completing this step, Yi Tianchen pulled several more vines and set up an intricate web in a section of the hall he had entered.
To be on the safe side, Yi Tianchen connected all the vines together, ensuring that if one was tripped, it would trigger a chain reaction. As long as one got caught, under the force, the other vines would pull together, causing the Cunning Ringed Serpent Cub hanging in mid-air to fall.
Once everything was arranged, Yi Tianchen felt slightly surprised. Logically, they should have realized he had entered the cave and would have chased after him. Yet, there was not even a hint of movement.
After pondering for a moment, Yi Tianchen did not give up; instead, he found a slightly drier spot to rest for a while.
During this time, Yi Tianchen looked at the map again, focusing on the marked location of the skull. Looking up, he noticed a horizontal cave about twenty meters from the cave's bottom, clearly covered with vine roots that concealed it very well.
That was precisely where the Cunning Ring Serpent King was hiding!
Moments later, several shouts from players suddenly broke the silence. Yi Tianchen's heart skipped a beat, and a smirk appeared on his lips as a hint of ruthlessness flickered in his eyes.
"It seems like the show is about to begin!" Yi Tianchen felt a surge of excitement.
