The entire killing process was almost instantaneous, leaving the two players nearby stunned, their faces drained of color. Yi Tianchen's sharp skills had far exceeded their limits, snapping the last thread of their composure.
"Shit, this guy's a pro! Be careful!" one player shouted, quickly joining forces with the other in an attempt to leverage their numbers against Yi Tianchen.
"Idiot!" Yi Tianchen scoffed, charging forward once more. He had no mercy for those who dared to offend him.
Moreover, these were members of King's Studio. From the moment he agreed to join Mist of Time, they had become his sworn enemies. Besides, Enhanced Cunning Serpent was currently being held up by three other players, leaving Yi Tianchen free to deal with the remaining two.
With his sword drawn, the killing intent surged...
"To the left!" one player yelled, only to be met with another's terrified shout: "No, it's to the right!"
As they argued back and forth, Yi Tianchen merely sneered. After a series of swift movements, he struck with lightning speed. To their shock, despite taking several hits, they couldn't even graze a hair on Yi Tianchen. By this point, his assault was reaching its climax.
In a flash, Yi Tianchen dashed forward and slashed at one player's neck. Without even moving his body, he switched his Rotten Sword from his right hand to his left with uncanny speed. A sweeping strike followed, hitting the other player and causing him to scream in pain as he stumbled backward in panic.
"What the hell is this kid? Is he human or a ghost? What kind of operation is this? He's like a shadow!" The two players stared at Yi Tianchen in horror, huddling together.
"Those who offend me shall die!"
With those cold words, Yi Tianchen shot forward like an arrow released from its bow. With a swift motion of his sword, he effortlessly dispatched both players, collecting a staggering 129 Copper Coins from them. Adding to the 113 Copper Coins dropped by the Swordsman Player earlier, Yi Tianchen now had a total of 242 Copper Coins—equivalent to 2.4 Silver Coins.
"Didn’t expect to find such a treasure!" Yi Tianchen smiled faintly, tossing the Copper Coins in his hand before stowing them away in his inventory.
After eliminating the three players, Yi Tianchen immediately shifted his focus back to Enhanced Cunning Serpent. To his surprise, despite being entangled by those three sudden attackers, Enhanced Cunning Serpent's remaining Health Points had dropped by over 19 percent.
The Enhanced Cunning Serpent was on the brink of death, as if it had already stepped into the gates of the underworld.
If it had feet, that is...
"MD, you two hold off the BOSS, that guy is mine!" one of the Berserker players shouted, breaking away from the Enhanced Cunning Serpent and lunging toward Yi Tianchen.
"Another one?!"
Yi Tianchen shook his head. The three of them were already struggling to deal with the Enhanced Cunning Serpent, and now one had split off; this was setting the stage for the other two to be eliminated.
With a smile, Yi Tianchen shifted his stance just as the opponent's axe came crashing down nearly against his chest. This left the attacker quite stunned; how could someone maintain such composure in the face of an enemy's assault?
"Stealing kills without even checking who you're up against!" Yi Tianchen spat out fiercely. Without any hesitation, he swung his sword down onto the opponent's forehead.

Immediately afterward, he crouched low to evade the swinging axe and thrust upward, causing his opponent to stumble. He then followed up with a flurry of strikes. Coupled with the damage already inflicted by the Enhanced Cunning Serpent, his opponent let out a muffled groan before collapsing straight down, turning into a burst of white light before even hitting the ground.
"What the hell, only 7 coins!"
Picking up the dropped Copper Coins, Yi Tianchen felt somewhat speechless; he couldn't believe how stingy it was.
Back in the present, while Yi Tianchen was systematically taking down his opponents, the two players holding off the Enhanced Cunning Serpent were not faring any better. With one less person, the serpent's sharp attacks became deadly, especially its Venom Attack, which left them in agony.
However, it was evident that these two players had some resources. In just a minute, they had each consumed three bottles of First-Level Life Potion.
Yet, this did not lessen the brutality of the battle...
"Hisssss!"
As their Health Points continued to dwindle, the Enhanced Cunning Serpent grew increasingly irritable. Coupled with the earlier torment from Yi Tianchen, its rage erupted. With a swift flick of its tail, it struck one player squarely on the forehead, delivering a triple critical hit that resulted in an instant kill.
"Damn... I'm no match for you! If you have the guts, don't run! I'll be back!" The last player shouted in panic before choosing to flee.
However, not only would the Enhanced Cunning Serpent not let him escape, but even Yi Tianchen, who was watching from the sidelines, would not allow him to leave easily. It was one thing to arrive without a greeting; it was another to leave without a word—clearly showing no respect for Yi Tianchen as the host!
Sure enough, just as this player was frantically running away, he suddenly tripped and fell flat on his face. At that moment, the Enhanced Cunning Serpent closed in and unleashed a spray of venom.
"Fuck you..." The player glanced back at Yi Tianchen, who had tripped him, but before he could finish his sentence, he was silenced by a lethal kiss from the Enhanced Cunning Serpent.
"It seems that the outcome will be decided between us!" Yi Tianchen said calmly as he watched the Enhanced Cunning Serpent re-target him after losing its previous target. His eyes held a chilling intensity. "Less than 8% left; can’t I take you down?"
With a cold shout, Yi Tianchen charged forward and struck decisively at the serpent's weak spot, causing a dazzling spray of blood to erupt. He then smoothly slid away, seemingly effortlessly avoiding the serpent's counterattack.
Weak Point Attack! -72! MISS!
Watching the high-floating damage numbers and the "MISS" label, Yi Tianchen felt a surge of excitement. This was something he had concluded after observing the battle between the Enhanced Cunning Serpent and the other two while taking down four opponents. Now, through practical experience, the results were indeed impressive.
After this, Yi Tianchen consumed his last Health Potion and adopted a close-combat tactic combined with evasive maneuvers, continuously wearing down the Enhanced Cunning Serpent's Vitality. His Rotten Sword seemed to have a mind of its own, relentlessly striking towards the Enhanced Cunning Serpent.
"Chop! Chop! Chop..."

One damage number after another floated up, like a series of exhilarating doses, constantly stimulating Yi Tianchen.
