Mocus stood inside the tent, nervously watching the crowd outside. Through the gaps in the fabric, he could see the villagers gathering, being inspected one by one by the Old Witch. The eerie ritual, with the Old Witch occasionally sniffing and touching bones, intensified the unease in Mocus's heart. 0

However, when his gaze fell upon the Old Witch, a sudden surge of anger ignited within him. This emotion came so abruptly that Mocus could barely control himself. In his mind, a deep voice became clearer and more urgent, whispering incessantly in his ear: "Kill her... tear her apart... she is a threat; she must die." 0

Mocus's breathing quickened as he felt his sanity rapidly unraveling; the fire of rage within him threatened to consume him entirely. His eyes were fixed on the Old Witch performing the ritual, his fists clenching involuntarily as if ready to pounce and completely shred her apart. 0

"This... this isn't right..." Mocus desperately told himself in his mind. He tried to resist the dark impulse rising from deep within, but found it nearly impossible to control these mad thoughts. The voice continued to echo in his head, laden with irresistible temptation and commands, pushing him toward the abyss of darkness. 0

Suddenly, Mocus stumbled uncontrollably and fell heavily to the ground. He felt weak in his limbs, gasping for breath as if a boulder were crushing his chest, making it hard to breathe. That invisible force seemed intent on taking complete control of his body and will, plunging him into endless panic. 0

Alison heard movement behind her and quickly turned around to see Mocus sitting on the ground, his expression pained and forehead slick with cold sweat. She hurried over and crouched down in front of him, concern filling her eyes. "Mocus, are you okay?" 0

Mocus looked up at Alison, struggling to respond, but his throat felt blocked as if he couldn't make any sound. A flicker of terror and helplessness crossed his gaze as if seeking relief yet unable to escape this dark power. He felt himself being consumed by some evil presence, while Alison's caring look failed to dispel the gloom in his heart. 0

"Help me..." Mocus silently cried out within himself, but that voice remained trapped in his mind, unable to reach anyone else. He sensed his will rapidly crumbling; that dark force was closing in on him, trying to swallow him whole. He feared he would no longer be able to control this mad impulse and dreaded that he might ultimately succumb to the whispered commands and do something irreversible to Alison or the Old Witch. 0

Alison noticed Mocus's distress; she reached out and gently took hold of his trembling hand, soothingly saying, "Take a deep breath, Mocus; everything will be alright. I'm here; don't be afraid." 0

Seeing Mocus sitting on the ground in pain and unease only heightened Alison's worry. She gently held Mocus's hand with a soft and concerned voice: "Mocus, is something wrong with your body? Did what happened earlier put too much pressure on you?" 0

Mocus took a deep breath, striving to calm himself down. He felt Alison's concern but knew that the dark power within him continued to gnaw at his will. He realized he had to control this fear; otherwise, the consequences would be dire. 0

He slowly raised his hand and gently shook his head, signaling that he was fine: "No, I... I'm okay." His voice was hoarse as if every word required immense effort to utter. 0

Alison's eyes were still filled with doubt as she sensed Mocus's unease, which stirred a subtle worry within her. Just as she was about to ask something more, Mocus suddenly spoke up, his voice tinged with hesitation and anxiety. "Alison, if... a person is subjected to extreme stimulation and overwhelming mental pressure... is there a possibility of experiencing hallucinations?" 0

Alison was taken aback for a moment, surprised that Mocus would ask such a question. She scrutinized his face, trying to understand his thoughts. After a brief pause, she nodded, her tone gentle yet serious. "It is possible. When a person is under extreme stress or fear, the brain sometimes responds to such situations with hallucinations; it's a self-protective mechanism." 0

She paused again before continuing, "These hallucinations can manifest as auditory, visual, or even tactile illusions, making you feel things that aren't really there. Usually, they are temporary, but if the pressure continues to be too great, the situation may worsen." She carefully observed Mocus's reaction, trying to gauge his current state. 0

Upon hearing Alison's explanation, the dark voice within Mocus seemed to grow stronger, mocking his doubts about reality. He began to question whether he was truly experiencing hallucinations or if everything was merely the manipulation of that strange force. Furrowing his brow, confusion and fear intertwined within him, leaving him feeling increasingly helpless. 0

"Hallucinations..." Mocus repeated the word softly, attempting to convince himself that this was just a result of mental strain. Yet deep down, he could not fully believe that everything was merely his imagination. He sensed that the reality of this nightmare extended far beyond his comprehension; this dark power might not just be an illusion but something far more sinister. 0

Alison noticed Mocus's question and frowned slightly, her concern becoming more evident. She cautiously asked, "Why do you suddenly bring this up? Are you feeling something unusual?" 0

Feeling Alison's concern only added to Mocus's panic. He knew he couldn't reveal the turmoil and fear inside him; otherwise, it might raise more questions and worries. Forcing a smile onto his face, he tried to sound casual. "It's nothing; it's just that lately... there's been too much going on. I feel a bit foggy in my head and mentally exhausted." 0

He waved his hand dismissively as if trying to brush off the topic lightly. "You know, we've been through a lot of thrilling experiences; maybe I'm just under a bit of stress." 0

Alison gazed at Mocus with concern in her eyes. She didn't fully believe his evasiveness but chose not to press further. Instead, she gently nodded and spoke earnestly. "Your physical condition seems fine; your pulse and heartbeat are normal. However, if you're feeling anything off mentally, it could indeed be due to the immense stress and overstimulation you've experienced lately." 0

She paused for a moment before softly adding, "These burdens can weigh heavily on your mind and may lead to strange thoughts or feelings. Perhaps you need more rest to allow your brain to relax." 0

Listening to Alison's words, Mocus's unease lingered stubbornly in his heart. He nodded, forcing himself to maintain that faint smile. "Thank you, Alison. I'll keep that in mind; I might just be too tense." 0

Though his words sounded casual, the dark power within him became increasingly clear, as if mocking his escape from reality. He knew he was battling something incomprehensible, and this struggle extended far beyond mere mental pressure. Alison's concern provided him with a flicker of warmth, yet the fear and chaos deep within him could not be so easily soothed. 0

Allison noticed that Mocus seemed to relax a bit. She gently patted his shoulder and smiled, "Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Remember, we are all a team. If something feels off, just let me know anytime, okay?" 0

Mocus nodded again, trying to mask his inner turmoil with this simple gesture. "Of course, if there's any problem, I'll let you know." 0
