It was no wonder that Ye Huan wore such an expression. After all, when it came to the stockpile of Arms, Ye Huan had made ample preparations in advance, having stored various types of Arms in his Spatial Ring. Take the Desert Eagle, for instance; in Ye Huan's Spatial Ring, there were at least hundreds of modified Desert Eagles, not to mention the commonly used M4A1 assault rifles and Gatling guns. Hearing that the Hua Tuo was willing to let him attack, Ye Huan, though not entirely confident of victory, felt bolstered by the sheer number of Arms he had. He believed that even if the Living Dead possessed by the Hua Tuo could withstand such an onslaught, it would at least be severely weakened or possibly rendered incapable of fighting.
" Hua Tuo, this is what you said."
With a slight smile revealing his white teeth, Ye Huan's mind stirred as a multitude of Arms surged out from his Spatial Ring. Among them were over twenty Gatling guns lined up in a long row within the underground passage, all aimed unerringly at the Living Dead possessed by the Hua Tuo.
Of course, just the Gatling guns might not be enough. Beside Ye Huan, six Javelin Anti-Tank Missile Launchers were also trained on the Living Dead under Ye Huan's Divine Sense control. Additionally, various other Arms filled the surroundings, including M4A1 assault rifles and Barrett sniper rifles.
"This..."
Looking at the underground passage that resembled a firearms exhibition, if the Living Dead could express emotions, it would surely be green with fear at this moment. After all, it had previously suggested seeing how much Ye Huan had improved; now it couldn't backtrack.
"What? Regretting it? If you are, it's not too late to get lost and stop eyeing my Summoning Book."
Understanding what was going through Hua Tuo's mind at that moment, Ye Huan didn't actually want to offend such a formidable opponent. Moreover, the Living Dead before him was merely a manifestation controlled by Hua Tuo's Divine Sense. Even if he killed this Living Dead, Hua Tuo himself would remain unaffected. If he could resolve this matter peacefully, that would be ideal for Ye Huan.
"Hmph! I must have your Summoning Book. I’m not afraid to tell you that acquiring your Summoning Book will greatly enhance my strength; even ascending during daylight may become possible for me. Under such circumstances, would you give up on seizing the Summoning Book?"
A glint of determination flashed in Hua Tuo's green eyes as the Living Dead opened its mouth to convey its intentions to Ye Huan. As for Ye Huan's earlier words about "getting lost," Hua Tuo paid them no mind; after all, Cultivators had their pride. If Ye Huan could sit down calmly and negotiate with him, it would only invite ridicule from others who might think Ye Huan was afraid of Hua Tuo.
Hearing what the Living Dead possessed by Hua Tuo said, Ye Huan realized they would have to settle this with a decisive battle. Since a peaceful resolution was impossible, it was better to strike first. The thought of unleashing a barrage of Arms and ammunition upon the Living Dead excited him. Without hesitation, he used his Divine Sense to command various Arms to launch an attack on the Living Dead possessed by Hua Tuo. He wanted to see just how much punishment a Combination-stage Living Dead could endure from such an onslaught of firearms and missiles.
The sound of gunfire and missile launches echoed through the underground passage, causing it to shake violently. Both Ye Huan and Yu Wuxia were affected to varying degrees. Ye Huan fared better, as he was surrounded by numerous Riot Shields that provided ample protection. However, Yu Wuxia was in a dire situation. Already injured, he found himself exposed after Ye Huan had shifted position to evade the Living Dead possessed by Hua Tuo. The Riot Shields summoned by Ye Huan failed to shield Yu Wuxia, leaving him vulnerable amidst the chaos of explosions. By the end of it, Yu Wuxia looked as disheveled as a beggar on the streets of Nine Provinces.
"Ye Huan... you son of a—cough cough..."
Yu Wuxia cursed at Ye Huan, feeling like an innocent bystander who had drawn the short straw. He regretted speaking up, as it only caused him to inhale more dust, leaving him gasping for breath. Fortunately, his cultivation level was high enough that he didn't rely solely on breathing for oxygen; otherwise, this experience might have left him with serious lung issues.
"My grandfather? He passed away long ago."
Ye Huan shrugged nonchalantly, pretending not to hear Yu Wuxia's words. For him, it was more pressing to see how the Living Dead possessed by Hua Tuo was faring. Ideally, he hoped that the Living Dead would be obliterated in this attack; however, if it emerged unscathed, that would pose a significant problem.
Just as Ye Huan squinted through the dust to get a clearer view of the Living Dead, an unexpected turn of events occurred. A dark shadow shot toward him from the location of the Living Dead, its two green eyes glowing ominously.
"Damn it, it's still alive?"
Instinctively stepping back two paces, Ye Huan had prepared for this moment. With a swift motion of his hand, dozens of Reinforced Riot Shields appeared in front of him. There was a loud crash as several of these shields cracked under the assault from the Living Dead possessed by Hua Tuo. It was only then that Ye Huan could see the extent of damage inflicted on the Living Dead after enduring a barrage of attacks. Its three-meter-tall body was riddled with hundreds of bullet holes, blood and flesh splattered everywhere. Notably, a fist-sized hole in its chest revealed its crimson innards, likely caused by a Javelin Anti-Tank Missile.
"Ugh... Ye Huan... isn't this a bit too cruel?"
Seeing the organs inside the Living Dead through the gaping hole made even Yu Wuxia—who had faced countless dangers as the leader of Yuxu Palace—feel nauseous. After retching for a while, he couldn't help but question Ye Huan's methods and whether they were excessively brutal.
