Stepping forward, Zhao Ziyu positioned herself beside Ye Huan. Upon hearing that Ye Huan intended to leave with Jin Ling for some private time, she felt a surge of displeasure. Looking at Jin Ling, Zhao Ziyu couldn't help but think of her as a seductive woman who would easily entice any man. How could she possibly allow Ye Huan to take Jin Ling out of her sight? What if something happened between them?
Zhao Ziyu didn't want to dwell on those thoughts; she dared not continue down that path. Although she knew Ye Huan had feelings for her, no one could guarantee that a man would remain composed upon encountering a naked woman—unless he were a monk. But even monks might falter when faced with the allure of a beautiful woman, especially someone as provocative as Jin Ling, who surely had no trouble seducing men. With these thoughts swirling in her mind, Zhao Ziyu quickly interjected before Ye Huan could speak: "No way! I don’t care where you’re going with her; you have to take me with you."
"My dear aunt, can we not complicate things at this moment?"
Frustrated, Ye Huan rubbed his forehead. Initially, he thought Zhao Ziyu was just making trouble for him. However, considering their relationship, he realized that bringing Zhao Ziyu along might not be such a bad idea. At least if Jin Ling tried to use her charms, having Zhao Ziyu around would likely prevent any inappropriate advances. After scanning both women, Ye Huan slowly addressed Jin Ling: "Zhao Ziyu is my wife. I have nothing to hide from her. Jin Ling, come with me!"
Having said what needed to be said and ignoring the unusual look in Jin Ling's eyes, Ye Huan led both women away. To avoid being overheard by the elders of Yuxu Palace, they quickly made their way to the peak of Yuxu Mountain. From there, they could clearly see Yuxu Palace's Main Hall and the surrounding scenery. If anyone were eavesdropping, they would likely be detected long before reaching them—unless someone had been hiding there beforehand. Thus, Ye Huan turned to Jin Ling and asked, "Is there something you want to discuss?"
"Well, to be honest, I came to Yuxu Palace alone for two reasons: first, to see your abilities; second, I want to propose a deal with you. I've already witnessed your strength; now I’d like to know your thoughts on the second matter."
Finding a relatively clean stone slab, Jin Ling sat down gracefully. As she spoke, she absentmindedly played with a few strands of hair framing her face. With her stunning beauty and alluring figure, she was quite captivating. If it weren't for her identity as one of the Heavenly Dragon Gate Protectors, she would surely attract many suitors among male cultivators.
"A deal? I like deals... Tell me more!"

He found it curious but still replied: "Including Ghost Blade, there should be ten. If we exclude the deceased ones, then the Heavenly Dragon Sect currently has nine Guardians left—one of whom is you."
"That's right, you're absolutely correct, but what if I were to be excluded from the equation?"
Jin Ling posed another rhetorical question, her beautiful eyes fixed intently on Ye Huan. It was as if she would never continue speaking unless he responded, which made Ye Huan feel as though Jin Ling was questioning his intelligence. With a resigned sigh, he replied, "There are still eight..."

She muttered the names of the remaining eight Guardians of the Heavenly Dragon Sect until the last name left her lips. Suddenly, Jin Ling sprang to her feet and questioned Ye Huan, "If I want you to help me kill them all, would you be willing?"

Ye Huan nearly had a heart attack from Jin Ling's words. He and Zhao Ziyu both gasped in shock, frozen in place. After what felt like an eternity of ten seconds, Ye Huan finally regained his composure and asked Jin Ling, "If I heard you correctly, you're asking me to kill all the Heavenly Dragon Gate Protectors except for you?"
"Exactly. Not only must you kill them, but when it comes time to announce it to the outside world, you must include me as well."
Nodding without hesitation, Jin Ling spoke as if discussing something that had no relation to her at all. This made Ye Huan wonder if she had suffered some inhumane torment within the Heavenly Dragon Sect. Moreover, how could she be so certain that he could take down each Guardian of the Heavenly Dragon Sect? Did she possess some prophetic ability?

Ye Huan paid little attention to what Jin Ling was saying; his real concern was what kind of benefits she expected to gain from killing all the Guardians of the Heavenly Dragon Sect except for herself. If there were no benefits involved, he couldn't believe that Jin Ling would foolishly help him while leaving the Heavenly Dragon Gate Protectors alone. If there were benefits, then it would explain why she wanted to do this.

Jin Ling opened her mouth and spoke the word "freedom." After that, she revealed a secret about the Heavenly Dragon Sect to Ye Huan.
