Good things happen every year, and this year was particularly abundant. Just as Ye Huan found himself at a loss against the formidable Beitang Mo, Lady Luck seemed to smile upon him once again. In a moment of desperation, when the Apache Attack Helicopter had no offensive capabilities, Ye Huan accidentally pressed a button on the control panel.
"Huh? What's this?"
Feeling an unusual texture under his fingers, Ye Huan looked down to see a green button standing out among the numerous red ones on the Apache Attack Helicopter's control panel. It was clearly labeled with two characters: 'Accelerate.'
Accelerate?!
Due to the uncertainty surrounding the modifications made to the objects summoned from the 2012 Arms Compendium after absorbing Blood Refinement Sword Qi, Ye Huan couldn't quite grasp what this acceleration meant. However, with Beitang Mo closing in on the Apache Attack Helicopter, he decided to take a chance and quickly pressed the button.
Boom…
A recoil even greater than that of launching a missile hit him. After Ye Huan pressed the acceleration button, two jet nozzles suddenly extended from the tail of the Apache Attack Helicopter. With a rush of gas being expelled, the helicopter surged forward at a speed rivaling that of a jet fighter, charging straight at Beitang Mo. Even Ye Huan in the cockpit was thrown into disarray, unable to maintain control over the Apache Attack Helicopter.
At the same time, Beitang Mo was startled by the commotion created by the Apache Attack Helicopter. When he saw it barreling toward him, his first instinct wasn't to seize this opportunity to attack Ye Huan but rather to ponder what this Apache Attack Helicopter actually was. He had never seen anything like it before. Coupled with Ye Huan's earlier attacks, although he couldn't be killed by someone with Emergence Stage strength, being directly hit would undoubtedly result in injury.
Just as Beitang Mo hesitated, in the blink of an eye, the Apache Attack Helicopter reached him. Now he faced three choices: either attack the Apache Attack Helicopter, move aside, or if he chose neither, he would have to collide head-on with it.
That said, Beitang Mo didn't seem foolish enough to crash into a metal object. After contemplating for a fraction of a second, he ultimately decided to slightly veer aside just in time to let the Apache Attack Helicopter pass.
"Has Beitang Mo lost his mind?"
Shaking his slightly dazed head under the high-speed flight of the Apache Attack Helicopter, Ye Huan finally managed to sit up straight in the cockpit. What he saw next left him utterly bewildered. If it weren't for Beitang Mo having already run to the back of the Apache Attack Helicopter, Ye Huan might have thought there was something wrong with his eyes. He even muttered a phrase that, if heard by Beitang Mo, would surely infuriate him.
Fortunately, Ye Huan didn't focus on Beitang Mo for long. The Apache Attack Helicopter clearly felt out of control during the rapid flight, forcing Ye Huan to concentrate and utilize the 2012 Arms Manual to regain control of the helicopter. He couldn't afford to crash himself while Beitang Mo was not attacking; that would truly be laughable.
Releasing a bit of Divine Sense, he regained control of the Apache Attack Helicopter. At that moment, Ye Huan suddenly thought of a question: why not summon a few more armed helicopters to launch an attack on Beitang Mo?
As soon as this thought crossed his mind, it surged forth like a bull in heat during spring, compelling Ye Huan to take action. Thus, after narrowly escaping danger by accelerating the Apache Attack Helicopter, he flew westward, quickly becoming a small dot until he vanished from everyone's sight.
A gentle breeze blew by as they watched the Apache Attack Helicopter disappear from view. Regardless of Beitang Mo's feelings, all the Eastern State Cultivators in the sky were left dumbfounded.
"Did he... run away?!"
It was unclear who reacted first, but someone stammered out this question. Soon after, all the cultivators in the sky began shouting about Ye Huan's escape—how could he run away?—until it took them a while to realize who the main party was. They couldn't help but cast strange glances at Beitang Mo.
Beitang Mo's face turned a deep shade of purple. To be honest, he had never imagined that Ye Huan would flee after accepting someone else's challenge. After all, it was a challenge initiated by him, Beitang Mo. What made it worse was that there had never been any clear rule stating that one party could not escape during a duel.
Regret, frustration, and confusion flooded Beitang Mo's mind. In a fit of anger, he almost shouted for the Eastern State Cultivators to bring Ye Huan back. But when he saw Hua Tuo standing there silently in the sky, he couldn't bring himself to say it and instead slowly flew over to Hua Tuo's side and asked, "Senior, do you know where Ye Huan went?"
"What's the rush? He will definitely come back; don't worry."
Rolling his eyes, Hua Tuo seemed disinterested in Beitang Mo and casually replied with those words. This left Beitang Mo feeling stifled; as for whether Ye Huan would return? If it weren't for believing that Hua Tuo's cultivation level was certainly higher than his own, Beitang Mo would have wanted to point at Hua Tuo's nose and say: 'You're talking nonsense.' But now, all Beitang Mo could do was stand still and gaze longingly in the direction Ye Huan had left, hoping that he would return soon.
Two minutes passed with little hope for Ye Huan's return. Beitang Mo glanced at Hua Tuo beside him but ultimately said nothing…
Five minutes passed, and the waiting had become somewhat impatient. Beitang Mo simply put away the Sunny Light Sword.
Ten minutes went by, and not only Beitang Mo but even the other Cultivators felt that the chances of Ye Huan returning were slim. Just then, from the western sky, a dense swarm of small black dots suddenly appeared in everyone's line of sight.
