No one expected that at such a critical moment, the Hua Tuo would appear in mid-air, blocking the disciple of the Heavenly Dragon Sect who intended to rescue Beitang Mo in front of thousands of people.
"Who are you..."
A flicker of surprise crossed the eyes of the Celestial Dragon Sect Disciple. Upon seeing the Hua Tuo's appearance, he halted his advance. If he remembered correctly, just a few seconds ago, the Hua Tuo had used a Silver Needle to intercept an attack from Ye Huan's Javelin Anti-Tank Missile, an attack that even Beitang Mo could not withstand. Clearly, it was beyond his capability to counter.
"It doesn't matter who I am; what matters is the battle between those two below. None of you can interfere."
With a slight smirk, the Hua Tuo answered the Celestial Dragon Sect Disciple's question. However, upon closer inspection, it was evident that he regarded the thousands of Cultivators around him with disdain. Even his smile carried a hint of contempt, instantly provoking the Cultivators from Eastern State.
"Kill him!" "Yes, kill him! Let him know we are not to be trifled with!"
A wave of furious shouts erupted, with nearly every Cultivator expressing their dissatisfaction towards the Hua Tuo. Yet amusingly, in the skies above Nine Gates Town, not a single person moved, as if they had entrusted this glorious task solely to the Celestial Dragon Sect Disciple.
'What did I do to deserve this?'
Turning around to survey his surroundings, the Celestial Dragon Sect Disciple realized that he was undoubtedly being used as a stepping stone to test the Hua Tuo's strength in front of the Cultivator army. However, considering that Beitang Mo might not withstand Ye Huan's attack, he decided to take action for the Heavenly Dragon Sect. He reached behind him and drew another long sword from its sheath. As for his Flying Sword, without Golden Core Stage power, relying solely on his own strength to float in mid-air would only lead to one outcome: the higher he flew, the harder he would fall.
"Heavenly Dragon Sect Third Generation Disciple, Shen Shixing, I hope for your guidance..."
Holding the Three Foot Azure Edge, Shen Shixing displayed proper etiquette as he introduced himself before charging towards the Hua Tuo. His momentum and stance were impressive in the eyes of the thousands behind him; he truly appeared to be a disciple trained by a prestigious sect.
"Shen Shixing? Your courage is commendable; however, as a true Cultivator, it seems you are lacking something."
With a casual flick of his sword, Hua Tuo seemed to have no intention of actually attacking. He simply uttered a phrase, leaving not only Shen Shixing but also the thousands of Cultivators behind him utterly confused. They couldn't grasp the meaning of what Hua Tuo had said. Curiosity piqued, many Cultivators, including Shen Shixing, sought clarification from him after he left his statement hanging.
As a Third Generation Disciple of the Heavenly Dragon Sect, Shen Shixing was diligent in his training. Under the guidance of the Elder of the Sect, he made rapid progress and quickly became the brightest star among the Third Generation Disciples. It was not an exaggeration to say he was the future hope of the Heavenly Dragon Sect; otherwise, he wouldn't have been brought along on this trip to Jiuzhou. However, due to his usual lack of interaction with others, Shen Shixing felt a spark of curiosity about Hua Tuo's words and blurted out, "What are we missing?"
"Missing a brain."
Internally cursing him as an idiot, Beitang Mo looked down on Shen Shixing for still having questions while they were engaged in combat. However, due to his identity as a Celestial Dragon Sect Disciple, Beitang Mo refrained from using excessive force. He merely extended his foot and gave Shen Shixing a light kick. Yet, this seemingly ordinary kick sent Shen Shixing flying forty to fifty meters away, landing him at the back of the crowd of Cultivators instead of at the front. Strangely enough, despite the long distance and numerous Cultivators around who could have helped him up, they all chose to step aside instead.
"What kind of people are these?"
Witnessing the actions of disciples from various sects across Eastern State, Hua Tuo couldn't help but sigh inwardly. What he didn't realize was that these Cultivators had been hastily assembled before coming to Jiuzhou and were unfamiliar with one another. Seeing Shen Shixing kicked away like that made them instinctively want to avoid any trouble themselves.
With nothing more to say, Hua Tuo believed that after demonstrating such power, anyone with some sense would refrain from bothering him. He shifted his gaze downward and noticed that after some time had passed, Beitang Mo's back was marred by a large area of charred flesh. His limbs were riddled with numerous wounds oozing blood—clearly suffering significant damage from the Gatling gun. However, what puzzled Hua Tuo was that despite sustaining such severe injuries, Beitang Mo had not lost his fighting spirit; he remained standing several dozen meters in front of Ye Huan. If it weren't for the blood staining the ground red around him, Hua Tuo might have doubted his own eyes.
"Beitang Mo, are you still not going to admit defeat?"
Ye Huan shared similar doubts with Hua Tuo and felt increasingly uneasy as the battle progressed. If it were anyone else who had endured a Javelin Anti-Tank Missile followed by at least a hundred rounds from a Gatling gun, even a Nascent Soul Practitioner wouldn't last long. Yet looking at Beitang Mo's condition, it seemed that even two more Javelin Anti-Tank Missiles wouldn't be enough.
"Admit defeat?"
Beitang Mo's voice rang out, capturing everyone's attention with those two words. Then they saw another figure identical to Beitang Mo appear beside the bloodied version of himself.
"Blood Puppet."
Upon hearing Ye Huan mention this particular Spell before, Weiyang instinctively spoke its name as he witnessed the scene before him. This caused a stir among the thousands of Cultivators in the sky, who began to discuss among themselves:
"Blood Puppet, isn't that a dark Spell? How could Elder Bei..."
"A prestigious Righteous Path, sigh..."
Listening to the various exclamations around him, Hua Tuo felt something was off. After carefully observing for a moment, he quickly noticed some differences between what Beitang Mo was doing and the Blood Puppet technique. He couldn't help but softly say, "This isn't a Blood Puppet; in my opinion, this should be a more common Distraction Technique among Cultivators."
"Distraction Technique? How is that possible?"
Due to Hua Tuo's previously displayed prowess, many Cultivators were not only focused on the events unfolding below but also paying considerable attention to him. Upon hearing Hua Tuo's words, several of them gasped in surprise...
