Chapter 176: The Battle of Xuanling Pass (5)
Upon arriving in Huaxia Nation and invading a vast amount of territory, was it really possible to leave?
A fierce glint flashed across Ye Huan's face as he noticed the soldiers at Xuanling Pass slowly retreating under some unknown command. He couldn't help but utter a single word: "Chase!" This command quickly transmitted through the Bluetooth headset to every member of Dragon Hall.
Over a hundred Type 99 main battle tanks, under the control of Dragon Hall members, abandoned their entanglement with the heavy cavalry and swiftly advanced forward. Meanwhile, in the air, Ye Huan inside the Apache Attack Helicopter unhesitatingly pressed the launch button for the Hellfire Missiles. Sixteen Hellfire Missiles shot directly towards the center of the retreating Eastern Japan Fusang soldiers!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The sound of consecutive explosions rang out. Due to the length of the inner city walls of Xuanling Pass, most of the Eastern Soldiers who were not involved in defending the city instantly witnessed a terrifying scene. Each of those sixteen Hellfire Missiles was like a scythe of death; wherever they fell, dozens of lives would be claimed. Moreover, Ye Huan had specifically targeted an area where many Eastern Soldiers were gathered, resulting in numerous soldiers being injured to varying degrees from the shrapnel caused by the Hellfire Missiles.
In just one strike, Ye Huan had taken at least five hundred lives. Truly deserving of the title "White Impermanence" among Dragon Hall members, reaping lives was as easy as having tea or a meal. However, for Ye Huan himself, he was not entirely satisfied with this achievement.
Five hundred lives might seem excessively cruel in other contexts, but among an army of seventy thousand in Japan, it was like tossing a small stone into the ocean—barely causing a ripple.
Furrowing his brow slightly, Ye Huan quickly formulated another plan. He instructed the Dragon Hall members operating the Type 99 tanks to continue shelling from a distance while he took control of the Apache Attack Helicopter and rapidly ascended. After gaining altitude, he directed it towards the location of the Japanese army. In the cockpit during this time, Ye Huan summoned no less than ten blocks of C4 plastic explosives and continued to summon more.
As they approached directly above the Japanese forces, nearly every available space in the Apache's cockpit was filled with C4. Grabbing one block, he set a one-minute timer and lowered the helicopter slightly before opening the cockpit window to toss out the C4…
Due to Ye Huan's previous launch of sixteen Hellfire Missiles, the soldiers of Japan couldn't help but feel a sense of fear towards the Apache Attack Helicopter. They kept a close watch on its movements. When they witnessed Ye Huan drop a piece of C4 from the helicopter, their instinctive reaction was to hide, retreating as far away as possible, especially from the area directly beneath where the C4 was falling. The Eastern Soldiers pushed and shoved each other, desperately trying to escape the range of the impending explosion, causing quite a commotion within the Japanese ranks.
However, when the C4 landed on the ground after a brief descent without any incident, many Eastern Soldiers were left in a state of shock, as if they had been frozen in place. After a moment of confusion, they began to scatter in all directions again.
Five seconds passed, and most of the Eastern Soldiers who had seen the C4 fall were still fleeing into the distance.
Ten seconds passed, and some of the bolder ones stopped in their tracks.
Thirty seconds passed, and curious onlookers even approached the C4, examining it with interest.
Fifty seconds passed, and even those who had initially fled returned, gathering together. One daring individual picked up the C4 from the ground.
One minute later—boom!
A deafening explosion erupted as the C4 detonated amidst a crowd of Eastern Soldiers, sending over a hundred of them skyward. The blast was even more powerful than that caused by the Hellfire Missiles. Ye Huan, observing this scene from the armed helicopter, regretted not tying several pieces of C4 together and setting a five-minute timer before dropping them. If he had done so, they might have been treated as treasures by the Eastern Soldiers.
As thoughts raced through his mind, Ye Huan piloted the armed helicopter forward while keeping his hands busy. This time he had learned his lesson; he glued together forty pieces of C4 in pairs and set each with a five-minute timer before tossing them into every corner of the Japanese army.
Sure enough, many soldiers calmed down when they didn’t hear any explosions at first. They even waited for a while before cautiously picking up the plastic explosives. The expressions on their faces nearly made Ye Huan inside the Apache Attack Helicopter double over with laughter.
Estimating that it would take some time to eliminate all these Japanese soldiers here, Ye Huan decided not to linger any longer. Instead, he returned to where the Dragon Hall members were stationed and instructed them to halt their Type 99 main battle tanks. He re-equipped them with lighter gear to pursue those fleeing Japanese soldiers.
Though labeled as light equipment by Ye Huan, it appeared entirely different in the eyes of the Dragon Hall members.
A military Hummer, eight RPG Rocket Launchers, equipped with five thousand rounds of M60 general-purpose machine guns, two modified M4A1 assault rifles, two Remington M870 shotguns, two sets of Dragon Scale Armor, and a large quantity of various grenades—this was what Ye Huan considered to be lightweight equipment for two people. Not even counting the Anti-Glare Glasses and the Desert Eagles they carried for self-defense...
After stowing away the nearby Apache Attack Helicopter, Ye Huan seemed oblivious to the strange looks from the members of Dragon Hall. He summoned another military Hummer and led the three hundred members of Dragon Hall, ready to embark on a grand pursuit.
However, before Ye Huan could even start the military Hummer he was in, a series of explosions erupted from the camp of the Eastern Soldiers in the distance, spreading across every corner of the Japanese army.
"Awesome!"
Without needing to look, he knew that it was the C4 plastic explosives he had previously deployed that were now in action. Excitement radiated from his face as he pressed down on the throttle with his foot. With his right hand gripping the steering wheel and his left hand holding the M4A1 assault rifle, he fired two shots into the air as a signal to attack. In an instant, one hundred and fifty military Hummers surged forward.
