According to Ye Huan's previous thoughts, Ye Luo had sent him to Northern Liang, which was a disgraceful act for the eldest son of the Royal Capital Ye Family. In fact, Ye Huan was not wrong in thinking this way; who would choose to run away when they heard that their mother and younger brother were still in an unsafe place? 0

However, Ye Huan overlooked something very important: the presence of Ye Tian in the Ye Family. Since Ye Luo had directed them to flee towards the Southern Xiongnu Empire, it must have been under Ye Tian's orders. It was highly likely that the members of the Royal Capital Ye Family had already been relocated, presumably heading towards the Southern Xiongnu Empire via Northern Liang City! 0

And what was the result? Now, not only did Ye Huan fail to follow Ye Luo's instructions, but he also ran in the opposite direction for quite a distance, wasting a lot of time. This was why he exclaimed "This is bad." 0

In shock, Ye Huan was still contemplating how to remedy the situation. Heading south towards the royal capital meant that the members of the Ye Family had likely been completely relocated; going there would be pointless. Heading north towards the Southern Xiongnu Empire after such a long delay made it unlikely to find anyone. This situation perfectly echoed an old saying: "If I had known this earlier, why would I have acted as I did?" 0

Helplessly, he informed Zhang Ren and Weiyang about the situation. Ye Huan had hoped they could help come up with some ideas, but upon seeing their foolish expressions, he could only retreat back into the Military Hummer. After a moment of contemplation, he made a decision and waved at Weiyang and Zhang Ren angrily, saying, "Weiyang, Zhang Ren, get in the car! We're going back to Northern Liang City!" 0

Back to Northern Liang City? 0

Upon hearing Ye Huan's decision, Zhang Ren and Weiyang exchanged puzzled glances, questioning whether they had misheard him. However, seeing that Ye Huan did not appear to be joking, they reluctantly climbed into the Hummer. Weiyang even urged him, "Ye Huan, even if you made a wrong decision earlier, do we really need to go back and seek death? Shouldn't we think this through?" 0

"Shut up! I'm going to find my dad! Only by finding them can we head to the Southern Xiongnu Empire and locate my family..." Rolling his eyes, Ye Huan felt like strangling this fat guy for the nth time. But then he remembered that Weiyang was willing to accompany him on this journey despite being the grandson of the Mage Association's president. So he forced out an ugly smile as a consolation for Weiyang. 0

Seeing Ye Huan's expression that was neither crying nor laughing made Weiyang shiver. He quickly started the military Hummer and didn't forget to remind Ye Huan, "Ye Huan, has anyone ever told you that you look really ugly when you smile?" 0

"Get lost! Just drive your car!" Throwing away any goodwill he had built up towards Weiyang, Ye Huan felt even more annoyed with him. 0

Fortunately, Weiyang's driving skills were decent. After some time on the road, they arrived back at their previous location near Northern Liang City. However, upon seeing the broken city walls and smoke rising from within, they all began to doubt whether their eyes were playing tricks on them. 0

Before anyone could speak up first, a Fire Armored Dragon came charging out from the southern city gate with a loud roar. It bore a bloody wound that resembled one inflicted by a mysterious old man in a black robe earlier inside Northern Liang City. The Fire Armored Dragon was surrounded by boiling hot fire elements that even ignited the city gate... 0

"What the hell? Why does that Fire Armored Dragon seem to be coming straight for us?" Weiyang was the first to notice something amiss as he stared intently at the creature. Without hesitation, he shifted into reverse gear and slammed on the throttle to retreat rapidly. 0

As the vehicle jolted violently to life, Ye Huan and Zhang Ren reacted, their minds filled with nothing but questions. Where was the Summoner? What about Durei IV and the others? 0

After retreating more than three hundred meters, the Fire Armored Dragon ceased its straight run. Ye Huan hurriedly patted Weiyang on the shoulder, signaling to head into the city to see what was happening. However, Weiyang, still shaken by the Fire Armored Dragon, ignored Ye Huan completely and stubbornly refused to sit in the front seat. Frustrated, Ye Huan decided to take the driver's seat himself, swapping places with Weiyang. 0

Ignition, gear shift, press the throttle—bang, engine stalled... 0

Ignition, press the clutch, press the throttle, gear shift—bang, engine stalled... 0

With Ye Huan's already abysmal driving skills, it took him at least ten minutes to cover the three hundred meters that Weiyang had just reversed. Infuriated, Ye Huan finally put away the military Hummer and pressed a button on his 2012 Arms catalog to summon three sets of Dragon Scale Armor. Each of them donned a suit before cautiously making their way toward the City Gate. 0

Upon reaching the City Gate and looking inside, they realized that Northern Liang City might no longer deserve its name. Inside the gate, flames burned everywhere, and countless buildings lay in ruins. The streets and alleys were littered with corpses; if they hadn't been here before, Ye Huan and his companions would have truly believed they had entered a hell on earth. 0

After staring for a long time, Ye Huan remained deeply shocked, speculating whether someone had unleashed a Ninth-Level Practitioner's ultimate move to cause such devastation. It wasn't until Weiyang tapped him on the shoulder, asking if they should proceed further that Ye Huan snapped back to reality. He summoned several M4A1 assault rifles and tossed them to Zhang Ren and Weiyang before slowly stepping into Northern Liang City. 0

Once inside the city, they were astonished to discover that what they had seen earlier was merely a fraction of the horror. The deeper they ventured into the town's center, the more crimson the ground became—clearly paved with blood. The number of mangled bodies increased dramatically; many were former soldiers of Northern Liang City. It wasn't until they reached the location of the lord's mansion that the corpses began to disappear, replaced by a mixture of blood, ground meat, and ash underfoot—a sticky sensation with every step. 0

"Do you have anything to say?" Ye Huan asked, suppressing his urge to vomit. 0

He intended to ask Zhang Ren and Weiyang for their thoughts but as soon as he opened his mouth, bile surged uncontrollably from his stomach, turning his face green. 0

"Ugh..." 0

Weiyang and Zhang Ren responded with their actions instead. 0

After about ten minutes of continuous retching until there was nothing left in their stomachs to expel, Ye Huan finally felt somewhat better. He summoned a Barrett rifle and climbed onto a higher piece of rubble to carefully observe all of Northern Liang City through his scope. To his dismay, he discovered that in this vast city, he couldn't see a single living person! 0

Descending from the heights with a sense of resentment, Ye Huan dared not sit on the ground and could only summon a military Hummer to climb aboard. Weiyang and Zhang Ren followed suit. 0

Once inside the vehicle, they no longer looked at the things on the ground. Ye Huan felt a significant relief in his breathing and turned to Weiyang and the others, saying, "I just checked; there are no living people left in Northern Liang City. What do you think happened to them?" 0

"What happened to them? Do we even need to ask? They must have been accidentally harmed during your father's confrontation..." Weiyang rubbed his face vigorously, trying to make his expression more presentable, and quickly provided an answer. Beside him, Zhang Ren nodded in agreement, believing it was quite possible. 0

After reflecting on the events during the Ninth Level Warrior's battle, Ye Huan did not think his father had the capability to cause such devastation. The image of the old man in black robes involuntarily surfaced in his mind. After a moment of contemplation, he gritted his teeth and said to Weiyang and the others, "Do you remember what Ye Butler said when he told us to leave? That Elder in Black was the head of the Gong family fifteen years ago. I can't help but wonder if he could be Gong Weiqi's father. If that's true, I have reason to believe that the current state of Northern Liang City is largely due to him acting out of vengeance." 0

"That does make some sense. But let's not dwell on who did this; we should focus on what to do next!" Tilting his head thoughtfully, Weiyang found Ye Huan's perspective more realistic. However, he also realized that who was responsible for all this had little relevance to them. Instead of worrying about useless matters, it was better to consider their next steps. 0

Nodding in agreement, Ye Huan readily shared his plan: "The only clue my father left us is that they went towards the Southern Xiongnu Empire. So I intend to head there. What about you?" 0

The Southern Xiongnu Empire was the only hostile nation surrounding Huaxia. Venturing into such a dangerous place raised uncertainties for both Zhang Ren and Weiyang. 0

After some deliberation, Zhang Ren spoke first: "Fine, I have nowhere else to go anyway; I might as well tag along with you for some experience." 0

Hearing Zhang Ren's words, Ye Huan smiled and patted his shoulder before turning his gaze toward Weiyang, waiting for his response without rushing or expecting anything. After all, Ye Huan understood what kind of existence the Southern Xiongnu Empire was. Zhang Ren chose to go because he had no other options, while Weiyang still held the identity of the Mage Association president's grandson. His decision would depend entirely on himself. 0

"Damn it, if we're going, then let's go! After all, I've only got these two hundred pounds of fat on me; I can always sell it all to you, Ye Huan," Weiyang said after hesitating for quite a while. He recalled the tension and excitement he had experienced while following Ye Huan recently and nodded heavily. 0

With that settled, Weiyang took up his role as the driver again, steering the Hummer as they headed toward the Southern Xiongnu Empire with Ye Huan and Zhang Ren. 0

Along the way, for safety's sake, the three took turns driving. When not driving, Ye Huan summoned various firearms for target practice… 0

A day later, in the Royal Capital of the Ye Family, a mysterious old man in a black robe appeared alongside Long Batian. He fixed his gaze on the estate belonging to the Ye Family, his expression filled with rage as if he wanted to tear everything apart. After staring for at least an hour, he issued an order to Long Batian, commanding him to notify all underground forces in Huaxia Nation. No matter what it took, even if it meant turning Huaxia Nation upside down, they had to find Ye Huan and the others! 0

Of course, this included Ye Tian and Ye Luo as well. 0

... 0

Unbeknownst to them, the Ye Family had become the target of all underground forces in Huaxia Nation. At the border of the Southern Xiongnu Empire, after carefully avoiding countless hideouts, Ye Huan finally spotted a small town in the distance. Although he didn't know if anyone from the Ye Family would be in this town, it still offered a glimmer of hope. 0

He smiled at Weiyang and Zhang Ren beside him. Once they entered the town, he was determined to have a good meal. After two days and nights of continuous travel, aside from some fruits and clean river water, Ye Huan hadn't eaten or drunk anything else. His mouth felt as dry as a bird's nest, and he quickened his pace towards the small town. 0

Ten minutes later, they stood at the entrance of an inn in the town. The delicious aroma wafting from inside posed a serious dilemma for Ye Huan and his companions. After some time spent consuming their supplies, they found themselves lacking something called "silver"—without silver, there would be no food to eat. This left Ye Huan and his two companions feeling quite troubled. 0

Just when they were feeling awkward about their situation, a waiter inside noticed them. Adhering to the principle of making money, he quickly approached them with a smile and said, "Gentlemen? Please come in and have a seat!" 0

At that moment, Ye Huan and his friends felt an overwhelming sense of embarrassment. One of them swallowed hard as they reluctantly withdrew their gazes and walked aside in frustration. 0

"I say, shouldn't we think of a way to get some money?" Ye Huan rubbed his hands together and spoke first, immediately resonating with Weiyang and Zhang Ren. However, where could they find money? They were all inexperienced travelers; this simple question had them scratching their heads in confusion. 0

After hesitating for quite some time, Zhang Ren finally suggested, "How about we find a place to eat and just leave without paying? It doesn't matter if we have no money; we have strength!" As he spoke, he pointed to a Ring-Handled Saber he had picked up outside Northern Liang City. This infuriated Ye Huan, who slapped him on the forehead. A free meal? Ye Huan had never eaten one in his life! 0

However... 0

With his nostrils filled with the enticing aroma of food from the inn, Ye Huan ultimately nodded in agreement. 0
