Driving was not something Ye Huan could do. Initially, he had intended to learn how to drive, but between studying and other commitments, he found little time to dedicate to it, and thus his driving lessons were postponed. However, the purpose of summoning the military Hummer was not to drive it away; rather, he intended to hold out for a while using the military Hummer as cover. Clutching the little princess, he squeezed himself into the Military Hummer and locked the doors.
He had enough reason to believe that Durei IV must already know what was happening outside...
Sure enough, just as the warriors outside were stabbing their swords imbued with sword energy into the Military Hummer, Durei IV appeared, holding his Summoning Encyclopedia.
"Not good, it's a court summoner! Retreat..."
Someone in the Break Emperor Squad noticed Durei IV's appearance and the bright red robe he wore and shouted a warning for everyone to retreat. But could Durei IV really let them leave safely?
The answer was no!
Flipping open the Summoning Book, Durei IV slammed his hand down on the Summoning Encyclopedia. A massive six-meter-tall gorilla roared into existence in front of the military Hummer, completely hairless. What stood out most was its black skin that shimmered with a faint golden glow even in the dark—a Seventh-Level Magical Beast, the Golden Gorilla!
"Chase!" Without hesitation, Durei IV pointed at the fleeing members of the Break Emperor Squad and commanded the Golden Gorilla. It took off running, quickly catching up to one of the Break Emperor Squad members. With a powerful tug, it tore that member apart, showering the area in a rain of crimson blood.
After this gruesome act, the Golden Gorilla continued its pursuit of the remaining Break Emperor Squad members. Meanwhile, Durei IV finally had a chance to inquire about what had transpired. After all, it was quite a mess that had erupted while he had only taken a short nap. If it weren't for Ye Huan throwing two grenades that created vibrations, Durei IV might still be unaware that trouble had struck at the military camp.
Arriving at the front of the Military Hummer, curiosity filled Durei IV's face as he reached out to touch it. Suddenly, the door swung open, and Ye Huan emerged carrying the little princess, who was covered in blood. This startled Durei IV, who exclaimed in shock, "What happened?"
"Durei IV, the little princess has been injured on her right arm; please help her stop the bleeding!" Ye Huan quickly explained before turning back to climb into the Arms Hummer. He thought to himself that no matter what happened, Gong Weiqi would have to pay dearly for injuring the little princess...
Previously, Ye Huan had been unable to kill any members of the Break Emperor Squad because he lacked time to summon Arms. But now? With time to summon various types of Arms and coordinate their use effectively, Ye Huan would undoubtedly become their nightmare!
Imitating what he often saw on television, he started up the vehicle, pressed down on the clutch, shifted into first gear, and slammed on the throttle. The Military Hummer roared to life; however, after only a short distance traveled—bang!—Ye Huan forgot to press down on the clutch again while shifting gears and stalled out. Frantically repeating this process several times began to give him a feel for it. Once he shifted into third gear and pressed down on the throttle again, the Military Hummer kicked up dust as it sped across the military camp's rough ground.
As he passed Zuo Yi and others, Ye Huan gestured for Weiyang and Zhang Ren to get in. Once they managed to climb aboard, Ye Huan continued pursuing in the direction where members of Break Emperor Squad and Golden Gorilla had fled, even shifting up to fifth gear.
Along the way, Ye Huan placed his 2012 Arms Encyclopedia on his lap and began pressing buttons repeatedly. In no time at all, he summoned numerous firearms and grenades—he even managed to conjure two pairs of Anti-Glare Glasses!
"Weiyang, Zhang Ren, try out how to use the firearms. In a bit, you two help me out. When you see that group attacking me, shoot them and make sure none of them get away!" Ye Huan gritted his teeth, gripping the steering wheel tightly. He had never felt this angry before.
The little princess was injured, and it was because of him. How could Ye Huan not feel guilty about that? On top of that, these people wanted his life; he could no longer hold back!
"Got it!" Weiyang, who was well aware of the situation, didn't hesitate. He pulled an M4A1 assault rifle from what Ye Huan had summoned. However, noticing that Zhang Ren hadn't reached for anything yet, Weiyang turned his gaze to Zhang Ren and said with a smile, "What's wrong? Are you scared?"
Initially, Zhang Ren was contemplating whether helping Ye Huan offend a general from Huaxia Nation was worth it. But he was someone who couldn't stand being provoked. As soon as he heard Weiyang's words, he reached out to grab an M4 as well, saying, "Scared? How could I be scared? It's just death!"
"Hey, I didn't see that coming; you've got some guts!" A hint of a smile appeared on Weiyang's chubby face. He had no objections to helping Ye Huan. Although Gong Weiqi was now a Seventh Level Warrior, anyone who had witnessed Ye Huan's abilities would understand how terrifying his potential could be in the future—especially once the things he summoned could be used by others!
Unaware of the thoughts of the two beside him, Ye Huan focused on driving. After a while, he finally spotted the Break Emperor Squad. However, he had no idea where the Golden Gorilla summoned by Durei IV had gone.
Not wanting to ponder how Durei IV's Summoner had vanished, he pressed down hard on the throttle. The military Hummer's speed surged again as Ye Huan shouted to Weiyang and Zhang Ren, "Go for it!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Ye Huan grabbed an M4A1 assault rifle himself and opened the car window to spray bullets ahead.
Following Ye Huan's lead, Weiyang and Zhang Ren also pulled their triggers in the next moment. In just two or three seconds, they emptied their M4A1s of ammunition. Several members of the Break Emperor Squad fell before them. Yet Ye Huan paid no attention to this; instead, he pressed on harder. He understood deeply that the higher a warrior's level, the faster they moved; those who had fallen were merely First-Level Warriors at best.
Weiyang and Zhang Ren had different thoughts than Ye Huan. After emptying their M4A1s of bullets, they felt exhilarated! The sound of gunfire ringing in their ears sent their adrenaline soaring.
Without waiting for Ye Huan to speak again, both Weiyang and Zhang Ren tossed aside their empty M4s and each grabbed another one from nearby. Weiyang muttered, "Damn it! If I had known being a summoner came with such badass weapons, why did I listen to my grandfather and become a bird mage?"
Zhang Ren beside him wholeheartedly agreed…
After about another minute of driving, stronger members of the Break Emperor Squad appeared ahead—around thirty or forty of them. With a cruel smile, Ye Huan grabbed two M67 fragmentation grenades in his hand and left the shooting task to Weiyang and Zhang Ren.
After Weiyang and Zhang Ren unleashed a barrage of gunfire, several members ahead fell down. However, many more continued to run desperately. Unfortunately for them, despite their speed being impressive, they could never outrun a military vehicle like the Hummer. Within ten seconds or so, Ye Huan caught up with them; two grenades floated ahead of these Break Emperor Squad members before exploding with a loud bang that sent them flying.
Seeing Ye Huan's actions made Weiyang and Zhang Ren—who were already annoyed at their M4s being out of ammo—realize how effortlessly Ye Huan killed several people. They quickly grabbed other M67 fragmentation grenades summoned by Ye Huan. Without thinking twice, Weiyang threw one out but after a long pause without hearing an explosion felt something was off. He turned to Ye Huan and asked, "Ye Huan, why didn't this thing explode when I threw it?"
"Hey, did you see that Safety Pin up there? It's all pulled apart, just throw it away!"
Turning around, Ye Huan noticed that Weiyang hadn't even pulled the Safety Pin. Frustrated, Ye Huan pressed his hand on the Summoning Book and summoned a bunch of random items, including a Flashbang and Dragon Scale Armor.
Next up ahead should be the Third-Rank Warrior, which was definitely not something these weaklings could compare to. Therefore, Ye Huan had Weiyang and Zhang Ren put on the Dragon Scale Armor and wear the Anti-Glare Glasses. He planned to throw the Flashbang first and then shoot these guys down.
Time passed second by second, and after about ten minutes, those Third-Rank Warriors still hadn't appeared. Instead, a city with walls at least thirty meters high came into their view. This puzzled Ye Huan, making him wonder where those warriors had run off to. He instinctively pressed the brakes on the Military Hummer, only to realize he had forgotten that one foot was still on the Throttle. With a loud thud, the military Hummer stalled once again.
In this world, there were no traffic police, and military Hummers didn't cost anything. Naturally, Ye Huan didn't take this minor issue to heart. He turned to Zhang Ren, who was more familiar with the border of the Huaxia Nation, and asked, "Hey, Zhang Ren, do you know where we are?"
"We've been heading west from Sky Star City, so this should be Northern Liang City, right?" After furrowing his brow to recognize the direction, Zhang Ren quickly provided an answer.
Northern Liang City?
Thinking carefully about what Lord Li Dan of Sky Star City had said, it suddenly struck Ye Huan: wasn't that guy, Gong Weiqi, the commander of Northern Liang City?
Noticing that Ye Huan seemed to be deep in thought, Weiyang, wearing sunglasses and clad in the Dragon Scale Armor, leaned closer to him and quietly asked, "Hey, Ye Huan, should we go back or...?"
"Go back? No way! Isn't Gong Weiqi living in Northern Liang City? Today, I’m going to let him know that I, Ye Huan, am not someone to mess with. If he wants my life, I'll go right in and see if he has what it takes to take it!"
As he spoke, Ye Huan gestured for both Weiyang and Zhang Ren to get out of the vehicle. Once all three stepped down from the car, he gathered the 2012 Arms collection. The military Hummer transformed into pure Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy, returning to the 2012 Arms collection. Then, pressing on the book again, a brand new military Hummer appeared out of thin air before them. Following that, as he summoned a large array of weapons, he noticed that the amount of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy in the Summoning Book seemed a bit low. He turned to ask Weiyang, "Hey, do you still have any monster cores left?"
